Losing its Spark

I’ve been having some problems with Lucidity. Sometimes my dream entries will randomly disappear, and I have to rewrite them. This is especially heartbreaking and frustrating for lucid, or otherwise vivid dreams, in which I had initially wrote out a lengthy, enthusiastic, and personal dream journal, only to come back and discover it gone. The ones I replace them with are lacking the personal touch, the raw detail that comes from remembering a fresh dream. I could excuse it if it happened only once, but it’s been a recurring problem.
I also have a hard time editing dreams without them either disappearing, doubling my entries, or not being edited at all and ignoring all the notes I added after the fact.
Also, nitpick, WILD and DILD stand for wake/dream initiated lucid dreams, not induced. That’s because they’re the result of a technique and not the actual technique themselves. It’s just a little jarring to see such a slip up, and along with the other advice which seems only useful for a newbie, it’s making me rather skeptical to continue using Lucidity . Truthfully, I’ve only been using it for the journaling feature...
Lucidity is otherwise good, I love how is records both date and time. Also genre and general regard for the dream. But if it keeps up, I might just need to switch apps, I can’t risk losing any more dream entries. They’re just too valuable, and a re-write just doesn’t cut it for the original piece.

Amazing app, just needs a couple small features

Lucidity is great for all lucid dreamers, from beginners to pros. It provides many step by step simple tutorials for different methods of lucid dreaming, a dream journal with writing and other features, and much more. It is a very simple-looking app and easy to use. The only reason I gave 4 stars (I would give 4.5) is because of some minor changes that would greatly benefit Lucidity . Some of these changes could be adding difficulty levels to all the techniques, or something that determines whether or not a certain technique is good for beginners. I also think the alarm system could be improved. Overall, a great app that you should definitely download if you are looking to lucid dream.

Good DJ, Terrible Flaws.

For 161 days I have been using this as my dream journal, and it’s great. The Interface is easy, and the details you can put in are great. My problem isn’t the Dream Journal, It’s the guides. They’re trash. Especially the MILD and WILD guides. The person who wrote them clearly haven’t read Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming by Stephen LaBerge. Aside from the awful technique guides, I had a bit of a problem with data on the Dream Journal. I never lost any dreams, But I always felt anxious about loosing my recorded dreams. Right now, I have 2 suggestions for this if the developer of Lucidity is reading. 1. Fix the Technique Guides. Read MILD from Explore The World of Lucid Dreaming, and read the WILD guide from Mzzkc and rewrite the guides here. The ones here right now, are not good. 2. Add a more easy way to backup your dreams. It’s really annoying right now. Thanks for listening.

Alarms Not Going Off

Hello! I have read a few reviews on this app, and many of the critical ones revolve around the fact that the alarm does not go off. Recently, I looked deeper into this issue and found that the dilemma about this is that the alarm, if set for a time after 7pm but before 12am, will automatically go off the next day. I came to the conclusion, previously, that the alarms didn’t work because I decided to test them before going to sleep with the alarm being set. When taking a closer, more diligent look in the “i” icon reading in the top right corner of the “touch less alarm” screen, it states that the alarm will be auto set for the next day if it is set from 7pm to 12am. Your welcome to anyone that had any concerns about this aspect of Lucidity !

This has great potential

The whole idea of Lucidity is amazing. Helping people lucid dream, which I think probably everyone wants to do. Unfortunately, I’ve found the I sleep so deeply that the alarms can not wake me up. Now I know that I could just set a traditional alarm and have to press it to go off, but I think this option would make a really great addition to Lucidity. Also, I think it would make more sense if when you set an alarm, it automatically asks what sound you would like to use. When I first got Lucidity I had no idea where I could change the sound, which got very frustrating. I think people would also like an option to set multiple alarms with different sounds. Apart from that though, I think this is an amazing app for people wanting to explore lucid dreaming.

Love the app! Have 1 request :)

Hi!! Okay so I wanted to start off saying that I do a lot of dream work, astral projection, lucid dreaming, & astral travel. It’s very important to me that I document my experiences. I absolutely love Lucidity it’s very simple and easy to use. I like the different categories and the option to make your own. The only thing that I wish y’all had was a way to have an account where you can login on any phone and have your entries all there. Lucidity is my most prized possession and I’d be devastated if I lost my entries. I could screenshot everything but I’d rather have a space that will be fully secured you know? Please please make this happen! 🤞🏾

Thank you!

I really love Lucidity! After only three days of using it and the techniques mentioned on it, I was able to Lucid Dream! Thank you so much! I think for me the most helpful part is actually the reality check reminders. I do think it would be cool if Lucidity had some info on SSILD, that technique has really helped me and I think it could help other people. It would also be cool if we could categorize what technique that we used to try and lucid dream in our dream journal. But it’s cool if not, Lucidity is really awesome already. Thank you so much for Lucidity and all the resources you provided. I read a few reviews, and from your responses, I can tell that you really care about helping people out!

Very helpful and well-designed!

First of all, I'd just like to say that Lucidity has a wonderful design. It's simple and very easy to look at. As far as the actual content of it goes, I'm really impressed! It includes a lot of different lucid dreaming methods and in the FAQ it responds to questions I've been wondering myself, but could never find the answers to elsewhere. It provides tons of information and techniques I hadn't even heard of before installing Lucidity. It also includes a dream journal where you can record your dreams, which comes in handy. Overall this is my favorite app revolving around lucid dreaming. If you're looking for something to aid you in your lucid journey, I recommend this. It's lovely.

Amazing app, but a few bugs.

First off I want to say that Lucidity has been really helpful and I would recommend it to new and experienced lucid dreamers!
I love the alarm in the new update and I am so glad that they added HowToLucid’s videos! I have been subscribed to him for a while, so for me this isn’t much of a problem... but when I was rewatching the video about dream recall, Lucidity crashes about a minute in. Sad, I know. So I pulled up another video via Lucidity , and once again, it crashed about a minute in.
Curtis App Development, you’re doing great. Good app, good concept. I understand that this is a simple bug and (hopefully) a simple fix. Keep doing what you are doing though!!

Good info but lost dreams

I prefer the old version. While the startup animations look sleek and professional they take time and I feel distract from the original purpose of Lucidity . However, Lucidity contains good information and the dream recording set up is very nice, with areas for title, body, and questions, tags, and proper nouns.
The most irksome thing is that the update auto installed and I lost all of my dreams. All of them. This makes me very reluctant to continue use when there are other apps for storing dreams that store in the cloud, and won’t be lost in an update. I didn’t even know it was updating until it was done and didn’t get a chance to screenshot or save any of my dreams; only knew once they were gone and I came to Lucidity Store to see what was going on.

Lost all my dreams

I have no idea how this happened it could be because my phone is close to being out of storage but besides that I woke up this morning to write down my dreams and literally everything I’ve wrote down the last few months-year was just gone I’m pretty disappointed idk if it was my phone or if it was Lucidity but I do really REALLY recommend having a login feature so I can save my dreams from one phone to another when I got my new phone my old broken phone which is unusable had many dreams on there that I can’t even read or check anymore so I really recommend a way to login and save your dream journal to your specific account.

Love this app! One thing…

I’ve been using Lucidity for a couple weeks and so far it works great!! Love all the features— I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is interested in lucid dreaming or having lucid dreams.

But there is one problem: I can’t use the dream journal feature anymore because there is always an advertisement blocking the “Save” button, making it impossible to keep adding new dreams (using Lucidity on iPhone, by the way).

If you could fix this, I’ll give it 5 stars! Awesome app otherwise 💕

Pretty great!

Hello! I just started using Lucidity and making some research into lucid dreaming so I wanted to say that it’s working out well. I like how you can store your dreams quite easily through the dream journal and I’ve been trying to do that more often. However, it would help if the transition from the home page to the journal wouldn’t reveal the entries (I have a password lock on it) and if you can choose to go back from the password keypad to the home page. I hope for some feedback on this in the future. Thank you!

I lost my dreams

I love Lucidity so much it’s my go to dream journal when I don’t have the energy to write. Unfortunately one day I checked Lucidity and all my dreams were gone 💔 it’s because I restarted my phone and i thought that it would save the data on Lucidity since I have backup... I wish there was maybe an account feature so you can sign up & log in to safely save all your dreams. Thank you for Lucidity but I’m heart broken that all my dreams since 2019 are gone 😭

Disappointed. 🤔

All I can say is thanks for nothing Lucidity worked fine for about a year and a half used it since about the beginning of 2020 and today...
July20 2:19PM/14:19
Got on Lucidity and all my dreams are void just gone and I got on Lucidity a couple times to make sure it wasn’t a glitch but nope I even updated Lucidity and still nothing pops up... guess that’s why they say write your dreams down...
thanks a lot for nothing how can a simple app that I thought worked fantastic...
turn to utter disappointment and a waste of time 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️
All I gotta say is I shouldn’t have even trusted it.
I had a feeling...
Anyways, thanks I guess. Still, much respect.
I hope you guys are happy with ya app. 👍
Still gonna rate atleast 3 stars⭐️⭐️⭐️
just because I liked Lucidity ...
hate to say it but now it’s pointless to use if it’s just gonna delete something with so much detail from some time ago that I can’t remember again.
(☹️😐😀)->(☹️) 🤷‍♂️😒⏰🕰

It’s okay for journal entries

I am really disappointed with the function of Lucidity. I have it on my iPhone and my iPad. If’s journal entry is put on one device then it cannot transfer to the other device. The alarm feature has never worked. There are no alarm tones to be set. The reminder feature sends a text note. Pick a message and wake up to read, “Are you dreaming?” So that’s useless. I wrote to the developers and haven’t had a response. I just think they went off skateboarding and haven’t the attention span to come back to fix their app. It hasn’t had any updates in the year that I’ve had it.

I have a problem

Ok so first off, I lost one of my favorite dreams of a flying school bus and a zombie apocalypse. I don’t even know how to get it back, the memory of it is now a blur because of Lucidity being updated. Second, should there be a regeneration button if we lost our dreams that were our favorites? Like, I like Lucidity and all, but losing the dreams is like probably like a mistake for updating Lucidity . My favorite dream is now a blur so I can’t type it 😰😰😰😡😫😫😭😭😭😭 will you please fix it??? I really want to see my dream again

Excellent alarm

Just used Lucidity for the first time last night and got a lucid dream out of it. I'm an experienced lucid dreamer already, but one thing I'd been missing is a touchless alarm that chimes once and then turns off. The one in Lucidity triggered properly, and I heard the sound in my dream. Also good for waking you up to do a WBTB technique (or whatever you prefer). I'm giving it one star less than five for little issues others have already mentioned. Excited to see where Lucidity goes.

Love the app but

I love Lucidity it's been pretty good so far, however there are a few problems i noticed. for starters you cannot record audio for the dream journal it simply crashes Lucidity , also the wake up timer system is a little weird, making you keep your phone on. other than that i haven't really noticed any bugs or things and it's honestly a really great app.

Love the app...

Lucidity has many great features for the new and longtime LDers. The reality check reminders are fantastic, the journal is cool and the alarms are great. I am hoping that in the future the alarms can be used like the apple alarm system and that we do not have to keep the screen on the whole time. Also, I would love to be able to have airplane mode on my phone on and still have the alarms work. Thanks for creating Lucidity !

Love the app! Need one fix though

Lucidity is great I love all the different techniques and it's super easy to navigate. The only fix I think should be made to the dream journal. It gets tough to write in the journal after a certain point because all of the words get hidden under the keyboard. Also when adding pronouns etc. they disappear after I press back. Overall an amazing app just needs its fixes.

Could be perfect

I like every aspect of Lucidity besides the alarm. The idea of it is genius but the whole 7pm/midnight rule on the alarm is dumb because i never know when to set the alarm until i’m going to bed, this makes it very hard to do. it isn’t causing any harm if you remove the 7pm-midnight so i suggest you do.

By

Would rate 5 stars if touch less alarm worked

The information on the techniques and Lucidity overall is great, but I can’t use Lucidity for why I originally got it, to use as a touch less alarm.

To clarify, when I set my alarms and hit ‘go to sleep’ it says to pick an alarm sound, but there’s no option anywhere to do that?? Any help would be greatly appreciated maybe I’m just missing something? If this gets fixed I’ll change my review to 5 stars.

All of my dreams are gone

The biggest point of Lucidity for me was to journal my dreams so I did that and I’ve been doing it for years and they all got deleted so I’m pretty sure I’m gonna be deleting Lucidity. I get really attached to my dreams and now I can’t get them back, that was like a whole year of my dreams gone. All of those memories that I didn’t keep somewhere else. So thanks, I’m really upset that they all got erased & that I’m probably never going to get them back. Next time consider giving out a warning from Lucidity or something b/c I didn’t write them down anywhere but in Lucidity...

Hit or miss

I definitely like Lucidity , the reality check reminders, touch free alarm, and dream journal are all good. They could all be improved, though. Specifically: a vibration-only alarm would be nice, I don’t like that the journal passcode automatically is the same as the phone passcode, and the WORST THING— reality checks is BUSTED. I have it set to two hours and I get notifications from 10 to 30 minutes apart. With some work, it would be a great app
