Using Gboard with Google sheets on iOS. There is an issue switching between Alpha and numerics. If I click on the happy face icon in the lower left a couple of times, the Alpha keyboard appears.

How to fix Google Sheets app crashes or not working on Iphone (iOS):

Close and restart the Google Sheets app on iPhone
Update Google Sheets app to the Latest Version for iOS
Uninstall and reinstall Google Sheets iPhone app
Update your iPhone to the latest iOS version

Fix Google Sheets on iPhone unable to connect to server/internet connection issues::

To resolve Google Sheets network issues, Reset phone network settings:
1. On iphone, goto Settings » General » Reset » Reset Network Settings.
2. Enter device passcode » confirm [Reset Network Settings].

Turn off iphone VPN:
1. Goto Settings » General » VPN

Google Sheets Android App Issues and Solutions

Fix Google Sheets not working on Android, crashes, errors or is unresponsive:

Force Stop the Google Sheets App
1. On android, goto Settings » Google Sheets » click [Force Stop]

Update Google Sheets to the latest version on PlayStore

Clear Google Sheets App Cache and Data:
1. On android, goto Settings » Apps » Google Sheets » Storage » click [Clear Data] option. This clears both data and cache.
2. restart Google Sheets.

Fix Google Sheets unable to contact server/ Google Sheets internet connection errors on Android:

On android, goto Settings » Apps or Manage Apps tab.
Click Google Sheets » [Force Stop]
Next, goto Storage » click [Clear Data]
Again, goto Google Sheets » Mobile Data » [Allow Background Data Usage].
Go back to Settings » Connections » Mobile Network » Network Mode. Change the network to 4G e.g. LTE/3G/2G (auto connect)
