says google chrome has a virus and wants to to click on mcafee protection which i do not have

I’ve downloaded the location validator application on my google chrome book, as instructed by the betting site I use. When I open the app, I allow location services for it. After that it says “please return to browser to continue". When I open up my chrome browser, nothing happens. The app just stays stuck on “please return to browser to continue”. I’ve re-downloaded multiple times and had the same issue. If you are able to get back to me that would be a huge help, thanks.
