The matchmaking in this game is nonexistent. I’m constantly getting matched with players 1200 or higher and remain stuck in the 800 bracket. There’s no real chance to learn when all intermediate and advanced players click on beginner anyway. I feel an actual matchmaking system should be implemented as there a lot of dishonest players. Also, having ads at the beginning of a match is very demoralizing. I can understand having a paywall but losing time because of an ad is extremely disappointing. I really wanted to like ChessPrime3D as its one of the few that doesn’t require a sign up to play but it is not beginner friendly whatsoever.

For some reason these developers thought that a quiet game of chess should involve loud music (which can easily be turned off) and very loud advertisements that will always play loud and when you attempt to exit the adds it is just clicking you to another advertisement. Would be a good game and worth a couple of pop up ads here and there but they have gone overboard so I will probably delete the game and there is no way I will pay them to remove the advertisements after the useless and annoying advertisements they’ve already made me suffer through.

While a appreciate your timely yet somewhat patronizing response I will add that my complaint is not with the ads. It is with the developer who programmed ads that play at full volume despite the fact I disabled the sounds for the game. If you’d like people to pay you or play your game you might attempt to make the ads bearable and not make people phone the center of attention while trying to play a game in public by ridiculous loud ads. Lots of other developers have figured this out so maybe call and ask how they accomplished this great feat of programming

Love the game on several levels. You can tell the bishops from the pawns and the queen from the king easily. That may sound trivial- but it is a challenge in many electronic chess versions. It also holds in obvious sight the killed pieces which is nice. My problem with the game is that I can’t quit. I don’t mean I’m addicted - you can’t quit ChessPrime3D . Using iOS 14.1 the common method for quitting or switching apps is to “slide-up”. On ChessPrime3D when you slide up it causes the board to graphically spin. This is marginally entertaining the first few spins... but then you still want to quit ChessPrime3D and you can’t. Maybe there is a set of combo moves or spins or clicks - but really? I find I have to turn the phone off and back on again which is not a preferred method for quitting an app.

I don’t know why they thought it was a good idea to set up the computer player to win automatically when a piece is able to take out your king IF YOU WOULDN’T CHANGE POSITIONS IN THE NEXT TURN. As in: the AI player changes position to put your king in a compromised location. Normally, you have this opportunity to change your king’s position and continue the game, right? Evidently not. I don’t even know how to describe this in text, but it’s incredibly annoying and kills the player’s sense of competency in a way that violates the game’s own rules . . . This literally makes it a broken game, and it was a feature that they obviously implemented on purpose.
Update-
Look at the developers response under this. They actually attempted a strawman like you can’t read what I wrote for yourself. They’re incapable of taking accountability or accepting criticism. I discovered a nice new feature today where if you actually have the AI player’s king pinned to where he can’t move, instead of letting you win, it will call it a stalemate draw . . . . Lmfaoo what a joke.

I get really frustrated when the timer goes wacky. It’ll start to deduct time from me, even after I just went and it’s the opponent turn. Then I have to go back into active games, and get started that way. I lose time having to do that. It’s pretty stupid I also prefer to have NO seconds added as bonus for each move. Just flat 10 minutes. Drop the extra time. If just gives people extra time to win at the end, when they really should’ve lost. You run out of time- that’s it. That’s why we play blitz- see who can make their moves fastest. Stop allowing bonus time!!

Im so confused?! Y was level 3 or whatever so HARD???!! Like im not that bad at chess but whatever move i made i immediately died after! The computer kills all ur characters so fast it makes to sense!! This game was so frustrating and stupid that i have to get u a low review! If ur going to make a difficulty 3 make it easy bruh! I lost every time this was so confusing!! I thought i was good at chess but this game just makes no sense! What is En capture or something i learned how to play chess y wouldn't they tell me that was a thing!!! Every single move i made i died! Like they killed my characters from a far but i couldnt kill them! It made no sense whatsoever!!!!!!!!😡😡 ChessPrime3D made me furious! But the little horse on the front is cute and i like the music but make the difficults when against the robot easier cause it was really confusing and hard!!

It’s one of my favorite chess apps out of the many I have, but I never use it because I can’t see the moves in the game for analysis. I save and study all the chess games I play and the only thing ChessPrime3D lets you do is rewind the game from the end to the beginning but not the other way around. Almost as if the developer went out of his way to make it difficult to get a copy of your game.

I won’t purchase ChessPrime3D until I can at least play through the game from the beginning to the end so I can write the moves down or copy the moves on another device that I can create the PGN so that I can import it into my games database.

And I’m only at the beginner level.

ChessPrime3D is probably the best Chess app I’ve played on, however it’s gotten overly saturated with players that are incredibly good and destroy players that are beginners to increase their score. The developers should put an algorithm in the application where if the overall score is greater than a number you can’t play on beginner. If you like chess, but are fairly new or an average player, I wouldn’t recommend playing here. The competition has gotten absurd over the years

I don’t have the mind for the complexities of chess but the puzzles included in ChessPrime3D provide an opportunity to solve chess problems in limited contexts. While you’re broadening your knowledge of piece flexibility, at some point, after completing series of more complex puzzles, you might gain the skills to tackle a full game with confidence. In the meantime the puzzles present fun challenges. Great graphics with an option to switch to 2D layout. ChessPrime3D appears to limit user monitoring.

I haven’t seen any reason not to give this a full 5 Stars. It does everything it needs to do and does them well. The options for learning new tactics and strategies are wonderful with the undo feature and the options to show available moves. One suggestion is that as a learning feature for beginners, being able to click on the opponents pieces to see where they can move would be useful. For those of us who know chess this ain’t a concern but I see it from a beginners standpoint that this would be an even greater learning app for chess if it had a feature like this.

This is the chess app you’ve been looking for. Just click the player vs globe symbol and make sure you’re connected to the internet. Then select active game and it will prompt you to select the person you want to play chess with from your contacts. Your friend will get a notification that you want to play chess. They accept and your playing chess with your friends all over the world. Awesome!

I like the custom thing it’s like you can make your own puzzle for other people in a way or make your own little game out of it. And for those who like puzzles and chess there’s a puzzle thing you can play. And I like the stuff that it has in the online. And there’s others things I could say but I don’t want to be here typing this all day. So download it and have fun with it. And no I’m not a creator if any one thought of that at all

Stop allowing the computer to increase the difficulty automatically. If I set it to a specific difficulty it should stay there until I change it. This hinders my progression as a player if the difficulty is based on how many times I’ve won instead of just staying where I set the difficulty. That way I can steadily increase the difficulty when I’m ready to.

ChessPrime3D has been a delight to spend time on . As a Chess player who has few friends who play, ChessPrime3D gives me the chance to play every day . The ability to raise or lower the skill level of the computer allows learning of new strategies and openings . It also allows playing with others online also a great option and feature . This has got to be one of the most comprehensive games that there is to where you can move the board around 3-D to 2D you can even set up your own game and play the way that you want set up men the way that you want and then solve a puzzle. You can also change the colors of your playing pieces and add as many pieces as you want on the board to make situations that you can solve. A very good program.

Tried it out, very well done! Clean 3D Chess, let’s you move and shift around the angle like if you were actually over the board. And one more thing, I saw people complaining about ads in reviews before downloading, they are a bunch of idiots (sorry). There is like a 5 second ad AFTER you complete a game. In no way does it interfere in your games. Can’t believe people complain about that when you can play totally for free? It’s literally 5 seconds and you can X it out. Saw one review complaining ‘the ads are too loud’, I turned off the sound and mine are silent, so no problem there. Bunch of entitled whiners, games aren’t free to develop!

It’s my turn on the board, I go to move my bishop and it doesn’t move. I’ve been playing chess for a total of 3 YEARS.I understand chess but not letting me move the bishop vertically is wrong. There was a space, And the ai wouldn’t allow it.
I got a checkmate, Time was 2 minutes, STALEMATED. You developers better fix this because if you keep this up, less people will buy this “CHESS 3D” game. I don’t care if “That’s how chess is” or “The ai isn’t wrong” FIX IT.

The game is perfect. Only thing for me is when I have the game open to a match and am waiting for a buddy to play back, I would like if it could give a slight vibration pulse as the live move is being shown, so to let me know a move has been made. I know it’s picky but that’s good if I only have a tiny change, right. ?! Also maybe a nudge option to notify your friend that they need to play you back. !

I LOVE this chess app!! This is perfect for learning chess. It’s so well thought out. I like the way the board and pieces look and also the piano in the background. When you play the computer it’s extremely challenging. Also if you make a few bad moves and don’t like the outcome you can hit the back button as many times as you want all the way to the first move. Which makes it a perfect learning tool. The ads only pop up between games and aren’t annoying at all. They can be skipped after just 5 seconds. Or like $3 gets rid of them completely. This is exactly what I was looking for. I wish I knew about it sooner. Great job on ChessPrime3D!

I play this site everyday it’s ok the gaming is good but there are consistent flaws! Sometimes you’ll make a move and then 10 seconds later you’re time will go down and u have to exit the game and redo the move but the time is still off then when your opponent runs outta time sometimes he will still get to make a move and the gane doesn’t end and then your time will go while the gane is loading! Two other things when I register for a game it takes a while to get an opponent and finally there have been at least ten games I have won and my taming didn’t up grade! It’s kinda stupid tbh when the reason I play on this site is to achieve a higher ranking because my stats actually are important to me! So over all the site is pretty good but those flaws getting fixed would make ChessPrime3D way better!

I am not much of a gamer but this chess game is freakin kewl. I am totally addicted to this game. The game works flawlessly(is that a word?). The ad banner on top is not bad for a free game. I have seen much worse. I really like the back and check your moves functions. Changing color is also nice. The spin and bring the board to normal buttons are another great feature. I haven't played much chess over the years but having this ap changed that for sure. Kudos to the creators. The music is about the only thing I might of had an issue with but that is only because I am a musician, its not that bad and you can always turn it off, another nice feature. I like playing against the computor, it has taught me to play again. Hey tanx for listening. Peace love light and harmony........olaf

I haven't played chess in years and wanted to brush up so I could teach my grandson how to play. ChessPrime3D has been great so far. I have been advancing the level to keep giving myself a challenge and I and am sure I will not be able to beat it at the higher levels, which is great. In the first few levels the computer's play becomes predictable but a lot of people I have played tend to be predictable as well. Overall this is a great app.
