A thumb up for NYT to bring the professional journalism to Chinese community. Many of its members are subjected to media distortion and disinformation campaign on social media such as WeChat. Time for people to read something real and know the difference between high-standard journalism versus self-made “news” that creates rumors and confusions. Need more efforts like NYT outreach to ethnic media, as it is dying without enough support.

Everything else in 纽约时报 works nicely, but it seems that this version doesn’t seem to support pro-motion techniques featured on iPhone 13 pro, hope to see this issue properly addressed in the coming version.

My dad loves 纽约时报 and the news reporting from New York Times. He especially enjoys the dual language feature of English and Chinese, as he is learning English while also keeping up with the current event from US and the world. Highly recommended.

Fake and biased reporting of news.
I don‘t know the original intention of the NYT news, but they tend to distort a lot of things that brings their readers unauthentic information especially onto the Chinese-speaking audiences.
I reckon this action much arrogant and ignorant.
The news journalism of NYT disgusted me. But their page organization and app interface looks decent though.
They do have free email notification/ad-free news, so thumbs up for that.

New York Times has always been one step ahead of other newspapers. Making this Chinese version app is one example. I love 纽约时报 and its China tailored reporting. My petty grievance is the landscape-only mode in the iPad version. It would be nice to support the portrait mode as well. Keep up the good works!

Great content, but somehow the images don’t show up in GFW, whereas the website works well, which doesn’t point to my network. Hope developers fix this

I cannot share the article in the new version anymore. It will just send the image not the text. Also, I think it will be useful to provide an option to convert the article to a PDF cause you know, the link will be banned by the Chinese government.

This is the news app that I have to check every day. I like the articles on it, and cherish the values reflected from words and opinions.

纽约时报 crashes when I change the language. I hope that it can be fixed in the next version.

纽约时报 has a major problem in loading older news. When I finish reading one article and like to read some related news, it can never load it. Frustrating!

It’s very uncomfortable to be only able to use 纽约时报 in horizontal screen. Also, the font can be nicer.

Why can I see all articles in English.
Once I choose the English version, the page freezes at the loading and I cannot do anything.
Hope this technology problem can be solved

I clicked on a notification—it didn’t take me to the article. Instead, I got a perpetual loading window (showing an animated T). Later, in an article, 纽约时报 crashed twice when I hit the share button.

Your “Newest Article” on your first page in Chinese version was posted July 2018.....

The New York Times - who has a paywall - is free to Chinese readers. That's good and friendly. Hope NYT keep this.

App somehow doesn’t refresh even after restart on iPad Pro 10.9.

Recently, the share button is not working in my iPhone X. NYTimes usefulness is cut by half without sharing capability.

纽约时报 does not refresh with new articles.

I hate the way that you guys cheat us to give 5 star good review. Also, the feature of popping up some news that you guys thought “important” greatly offends me.

This may not be its intended purpose but I found it very useful for language learning. It will be perfect if the side by side view can be rotated, and allows user to make text selection.
