So I’ve downloaded this game because it looked like a good idea. And it was, kinda. The game is crashing every single time after like a minute. I don’t know if something is wrong with my device but it’s really frustrating. Since I don’t exactly know if it’s just me only because of my device I’ll give it a fair review and hope that this gets fixed one way or another. The gameplay is fun and seeing the huge amounts of money you can obtain is such a sight. There is some stuff that I personally would like to change. 1# I think the level system is cool but I would rather work from the ground up and see my money skyrocket. It would be a cool feature to have it as a side mini game where you progress level by level. 2# this is one a lot of people are talking about and it’s the ads. It’s crazy how much stuff it just thrown at you and me and many others dislike how they have executed it. I think it’s 3 stars and maybe 4 at best. I hope to see this game develop and not become a cash grab even if it’s with the not exactly the popular or really good but passes the low standard of what a game should be. This is a long and hopefully helpful review for others.

Honestly a nice game, good for when you’ve not a lot of brain power and don’t feel like doing much. However, the excessive # of ads; every time you rank up (which has no discernible impact other than to be the guise of an ad), whenever you pop a present, and ~6-8 instances of items prompting you to watch an ad at any one time, even every time you complete a stage. A game that had ads is fine, if done well, however this is a hot mess of cash grabby ads and requests to pay to get rid of them.
Now untoward, my biggest pet peeve with a game that has coloured inputs is when there’s no option for any of the three most common colourblindnesses to make it easy to see, rather than being confused why you can’t place a anchor here there or whatever, only to 30 MINUTES later realise there’s anchor points limiting where you can place them (only seen after an excess of straining my eyes). Even better than a toggle setting though, is if you’re able to customize the colours of each element, or at least edit the contrast, even a b/w setting would be easy and much more accessible to the colourblind.

The game itself is really addicting and i love to play it in my free time, but i have some concerns regarding the game itself.

I see a lot of reviews complaining about ads but personally i don’t mind it; I also see a lot of reviews regarding the “break at level 25”.
I haven’t been to level 25 yet but from my knowledge if the game breaks at a certain point just delete it and reinstall it!

Another common thing i’ve been seeing in the reviews of this game is that the “No Ads” doesn’t work!
Now i would say that is something to be aware of, so stay off that.

Again, wonderful game, my adhd loves the sound effects, and the reviews mainly concern around the ADS of the game!

Why the heck did you put ads when you go to level up to another rank like it’s Stupid just why I keep getting annoyed by these dumb ads can you remove them? creator can you remove them? Also I keep getting ads like begging kids who wants toys like it’s dumb and I like BallsnRopes but just remove the ads is so stupid and dumb also there’s too much ads in BallsnRopes remove it it’s incredibly stupid I keep raging because the STUPID ADS I like however you ad that noise in your ads which I wanted but now there’s too much just too much of ads in the game just why I hate ads delete it now like I wouldn’t delete BallsnRopes if I had to because there’s so much ads it’s Stupid and dumb at the same time the ads keep making me rage a lot that I had to delete this game and give it 1 star because the ads are over loaded and keeps wasting my time and I want ads to be DELETED RIGHT NOW it’s incredibly frustrating and annoying tho I like the game idea but please 🙏 just delete the ads it’s annoying, frustrating, Dum, wasting time, raging and Stupid if you delete them I might give you a 5 star

I thought the game was fun because the other comments said the only problem was adds. At first yes it is fun watching the balls relocating the strings and upgrading, but it’s not long before you having to wait forever to get enough money for an upgrade, the levels take forever, you get an add for leveling up and you level up twice a minute, the balls slow down so it doesn’t hit anything fast anymore making it boring to watch the second you complete a stage you can ether just watch or delete your progress (you keep the money) and start over. Theres only two mini games, one you have to complete levels to unlock, and it isn’t fun anymore. If your looking for an idle game get “gear clicker” or “bucketcrusher” instead. At least there alit better. Thank you for reading to the end hope this helps you not get bored as fast.

Game is simple with fun mechanics that fade quickly. What also fades quickly is my patience with the advertisements. I let the phone sit idle for 5 minutes to observe. I couldn’t even make it the full five without 23 prompts for bonuses I could get through the ads that would have been better spent with the core gameplay. I have some recommendations:

+ Add a pachinko type mechanic that allows the player to pocket balls to get rewards. The box is too aggressive and often disrupts the gameplay I had pre-box. Which is annoying when you cannot touch the board due to the overwhelming amount of ads.

+ Add different wire requirements and bonuses. The gameplay could be shaken up nicely by making wires a locked size every few wires. Getting stuck with an awkward shape allowing you to restructure and cause the gameplay to force the player to be creative feels rewarding when done correctly.

+ Give players a breather with the ads. The current amount is so saturated I imagine they are being blocked entirely by whatever portion of this games community is still around after all the spam.

I have had to game for a few months and I like it. I like that you can just stand back and watch the game play out without you having to do a thing. One thing I don’t like is that you rank up way to easily, I wish that it would take longer to rank up every time so that way if you have a ad then you rank up you don’t get hit with another ad right after that. One glitch I got was getting a -600+ gift and my game kept crashing after a few minutes. Overal a good game and I would definitely recommend it to others.

Another ad- I mean game- full of ads. Ads every 5-20 seconds. Most games like this I turn airplane mode on or close BallsnRopes and reopen every time there’s an ad. This game requires internet for no other reason than to make you watch the ads, so first method is out. My second method worked until there was a level where you had to break rocks, and the rocks reset if you closed BallsnRopes during an ad, so that’s where I stopped. I spent more time closing BallsnRopes than actually playing. It also lags super hard if you have too many balls for BallsnRopes to handle. Poorly made game, made to waste your time more than anything, invest in yourself instead of the dummies making these games

I love the gameplay; very satisfying and all. But PLEASE, CHILL WITH THE ADS!!! And I'm being serious. Every time I rank up, I get an ad and it's super annoying considering that I rank up EXTREMELY FAST... Like I add a ball, pop-up ad. I add a rope, pop-up. I add a gun, pop-up. I add a prop, pop-up. I rank up so fast that I was at rank 40 within less than an hour! And the worst part, you can't play offline (without Wi-Fi or Cellular Data)! By rank 20, I was gonna recommend this game for airports or road trips but now that I know you can't play offline, nevermind. I would not recommend this game whether you're online or offline unless Rollic Games reduces the ad frequency for this game.

I’ve been playing this game for 5 mins now and I got ads every second a ball bounced on a line, now don’t get me wrong it’s a cool game but there’s TO MANY ADS!!! Tho that’s not even the worst part come to think about it, you CANT even play offline…WHAT???? I DID KNOW I COULD PLAY WITH OTHER PEOPLE…O WAIT! YOU CANT!!!!!! so why even make a game that literally doesn’t need internet and ads every LITERALLY SECOND?!?!?!? It’s ad for the game fits the game it self and it’s again it’s fun to play but I can’t even play for how many ads keep popping up & AGAIN I can’t play without internet…that’s what really gets on my nerves the most. Don’t download unless you can pay to get rid of the ads…ya you got to pay, forget to say that to. How worthless😡🤬

I downloaded this game thinking it was another week long sampling before it was added to the mega uninstall purgatory kingdom.

How, I suddenly realized I was hooked like the cartel was cutting the balls with Fenty. I also noticed, like the junkie who can’t find any working veins in his ranch land of collapsed ones, the utter detrimental AD spam that totally deflates any fun, or will or want to even play the game on. Especially how this game is designed and the process at which you are solving its “puzzles” so to speak, there’s not much worse an idea to do ADs like this in the history of video gaming. Whoever made that call is a greedy maniac who would have made that money hand over fist if you did things right.

PLUS @ LvL 57 : NoN-Progression as the “Random Item” button doesn’t produce any items after taking your money away for using it. Can’t get more than one rope on the field.

It’s fun and all but the amount of ads that come up non stop gets annoying. And the game doesn’t really give you a goal to reach maybe add skins or something into the game maybe just my opinion. Like let us reach a Certain level new skin or like new boss level and you can only use some spots sounds cool. But over all games fun rn but the ads get annoying or add like upgrades you can buy with in game money not real money just so kids arnt getting bombarded with ads and end up downloading 50 games not knowing what they are lol

I usually don't take time out if my day to do this but this needs to be said, the game is so simple and easy, yet there is an ad popup every 30 seconds. I cant even setup my ropes without an ad popping up or do anything for that matter. Not to mention they are forced ads with no reward, even though the short 5 second timer may seem like nothing its followed up 90% of the time by a playable version of the games ad and 2 other popup all of which you need 5 seconds to skip. All in don’t install this game such a waste of time to play, and whoever developed BallsnRopes should quit and never make another one again.

Every time you do anything, you get a 30 second unskippable ad (I wish I was exaggerating). When I got this game, I figured it would just be another mediocre mobile game that I could waste a bit of time on, but boy was I mistaken. I was lucky if I could get 3 seconds between ads and when I turned off my wifi and data, I got a pop up saying that this game required an internet connection. In the 2 minutes I spent playing this game, I probably made them around $45 in ad revenue. I saw 4 ads in that time ranging from 15 to 30 seconds (all unskippable) and included these ads in my 2 minute estimate.

This game Might be fun, I’m not entirely sure because I got 2 ads within my first thirty seconds of game play.
The game will CONSTANTLY push you towards the ads, I understand they need revenue but they don’t even give you a chance to try the game first without pushing you away. Honestly I likely would have paid for the no ads but 1) I didn’t even get to try out the product first 2) it pushes ads and videos so hard I’m pretty sure even if you pay for no ads you will constantly be getting “watch videos” for features. The option for the feature regularly changes between in game money and watch a video and it’s TERRIBLE.

Rank up, ad. Level up ad. Within one level 6 pop up’s for “would you like to watch an ad for xxx feature”, and the in game items you NEED to play the game will often force you to an ad.

I’m actually upset with this developer for wasting so much of my time this morning and your product is absolutely terrible.

When playing the game, the levels are fun to try and build a big net that bounces them infinitely. When playing the game and buying upgrades. They don’t seems to work everytime. Like buying a rope, and it doesn’t appear. Or if you have a lot of balls. Sometimes a new one doesn’t fall but it still takes your money. And I’m not sure if it’s on purpose. But your money resets every level, and the upgrades stay being pretty pricy.

Awesome game but why does it need wifi, cause I just moved into another house and I don’t have WiFi so every time I’m driving to work I always try to find a game that doesn’t need wifi, but really though why do you need wifi just to play. But good game overall definitely download it if you want to pass time

So I was playing this game and on stage 27, I was doing it and then logged off. I get back on and all my balls are gone and I click reset and nothing happens. I bought another ball and nothing popped up. I then watched an add to buy a ball and nothing happened. I watched an ad to merge and nothing happened. I’ve tried everything and I have went into the little mini games and all the balls are just gone. Please someone tell me what to do.

So I’m creating something and I’m making it better by adding new ropes but when I try to move the ropes they are staying in its spot when I stretch it and let go and my device it not glitching. So I would like it if you guys can fix that because if you don’t I won’t be able to finish. So please fix it.

I rarely download games but this looked fun so I gave it a try. I liked it quite a bit so I decided to pay to make the ads go away. Afterwards, I wasn’t force fed ads anymore, but they didn’t completely disappear like you’d expect them to.

Unlocked the next ball tier? Nice! If you watch an ad we’ll give you another!

Low on cash? Oh no! If you watch an ad we’ll spot ya!

Knocked out that (insanely annoying) present that spawned out of nowhere? Nice! Here’s your present, you just have to watch a few ads to claim it.

I’m not kidding, every gameplay button except for “mute” and “reset ball” had an ad state. I wound up accidentally clicking the buttons when they were in their ad state all the time, and I got so sick of it I started to just reset BallsnRopes altogether so I could just play the game.

Don’t pay to make the ads go away. As fun is this game is, it’s not worth it.

This game has the most aggressive ads and pop ups I’ve ever seen in any app EVER. Literally pushes ads to WATCH ads for free things every 10 seconds. So you get maybe 10 seconds of uninterrupted gameplay before they try to sell you something and cover up the screen. Not only that, but every time you level up or move on to a new stage, you have to watch an ad, so it almost feels like you’re being punished for winning.

There’s hardly any game here, which is a shame because it has a lot of potential if it wasn’t for the aggressive ads (which according to other reviewers, don’t go away even when you pay $2.99 to block them).

I gave this review 5 stars so it can stick out more. This game is absolutely horrendous, so bad I’d honestly rather watch paint dry than play this game. If I were being held at gunpoint and was forced to play this game, I’d tell them to shoot me. There’s literally more ads then playtime, and then you have the gall to add MICROTRANSACTIONS. FOR WHAT PURPOSE DO YOU NEED MICROTRANSACTIONS IN A GAME THATS ALREADY FILLED WITH ADS. 1/5, terrible. don’t waste your time playing.

Honestly the game is addicting, but theres one thing that bothered me… it needs internet, Honestly, i dont know anyone that plays any of these types of games unless they are on a trip and they need a game that doesnt need internet. But if you’re at home in your free time, with wifi then why would you play this game? I would much rather play sea of thieves, or minecraft. Infact, the only reason why i got this game was because it seemed like it didnt need internet, infact, every single rollic game has this exact genre AND YOU STILL NEED WIFI. The game is perfect except the wifi part.

The game is interesting enough, but the popups are very annoying.
There are two kinds of popups that I’ve seen:
- purchase popups which prompt you to buy something and the ‘No, thank you’ button is underneath the popup, rather hard to see and there’s a ~1 second delay before it appears
- ad popups where you’re forced to choose between watching one ad (small reward), two ads (bigger reward), or closing BallsnRopes

Props to the devs on two things:
1. Coming up with a game that seems to be original. (At the very least I haven’t seen one like it in a long time.)
2. Their ad for this game not coming off as highly obnoxious or scammy.

Recommendations:
- Make the ‘No, thank you’ button on the purchase popup more visible
- Make it possible to skip or ignore the ad popup
- Move the popups to the top of the screen and make them not interrupt gameplay

1 I played this game for about a month, not very good at it, but it was fun. I think that I have only had one or two ads that I didn’t click on, there is ways to click on an ad, but they never force it on you ( maybe this has something to do with my Wi-Fi, sometimes I can’t click on ads to load them) 2 it’s fun, not really like on the ads, but it is still a mobile game that I play the problem is that the levels get very grindy, you basically have to wait until you get enough money to increase your ropes. 3 if you don’t buy any of the in game purchases, you can still play the game without rage quitting.
