Man I wanted this to work out so much. I enrolled in direct deposit and got one of my checks deposited. There are unfortunately limits placed on all sorts of transaction and transfers so don't expect to move money around in this account. I also couldn't transfer money to any account to pay rent because transfers were all halted. Rewards are not existent, not only that but the reward structure is not laid out anywhere. You can't use the debit card with apple pay so you are forced to use the physical card. This would not be a problem if the card was actually a good quality card, however it feels like you are holding a business card, flimsy, thin and feels like it's going to break on you. Not worth your time.

I participated in the beta program for GazelleApp. GazelleApp has hardly changed since then, with next to zero functionality. Transfers are down a majority of the time, making this effectively useless as a bank account.

I plan on closing my account, but I have one penny deposited currently. In order to close your account you must have a zero balance, or pay $15 to mail a check of your balance. So I’ve opened GazelleApp periodically in order to attempt a transfer, and the one time transfers aren’t down, I get a warning that I’ve passed my limit. One penny, I can’t transfer. My most recent transaction is from five months ago.

GazelleApp should’ve never left the beta period, it has a lot of work to become competent. I would advise against trusting your money to this service. And developers—I don’t need an obligatory response to contact support, I already have to contact you to get this account closed.

My husband and I were so excited to get our Gazelle cards so we could use them instead of our bank card or credit for Christmas!
As soon as they got here I loaded 20 to each card to make sure they were both set up before my husbands bonus came. Three days later I was unable to load any more money to the card.
I reached out to customer service and was told they had no eta as to when transfer would be back up. Now 3 weeks have gone by and I once again reached out and have not received a response. If I go to an atm to load money it is going to charge me a fee. I tried to set up an auto draft from my bank but it won’t let me because this isn’t a checking or savings acct!
We love the Ramsey plan and are really hopeful that they will fix this problem soon!

I am a huge Ramsey fan but I can not get behind this product. Working in the accounting industry for decades, I see and use many client banks and apps. This one is the worst I’ve ever dealt with. Customer service isn’t good either. And when a customer has missing funds from a transfer, the answer should NEVER be we can’t help you, call customer service. The history they are directing me to is not on GazelleApp either. Just a list of transactions. No help with a missing one. Feels very scammy to me even though I know the Ramsey group would never support it. Misses the mark by miles. Now to wait until “business hours” to find my missing money. Boo!

I was excited to use this as a blow money fund for everyday expenses. However, around November 2022 they stopped you from being able to transfer money from your checking into the gazelle card. This made the card unusable for my needs. To this day, still no ability to transfer money from checking to this card. They added withdrawals in order to transfer money from the card to another account, so I just moved all my money back.

I won’t use this until they enable transfers again. Good concept, poor execution. I feel this is still in beta testing and needs a lot of work.

Note: you can set up direct deposit to this card, but this is not what I wanted it for.

At first I thought this would be awesome. I follow Ramsey products and have not had any issues. So gave this a try. Deposit from another bank account was awesome feature but they had an issue and went to fix it. Happened after a month in. I had followed up several times and was told they were working on it. They did fix the withdrawal function but the deposit to the account from another bank does not and will not work. They do not have a fix. I have several big name bank accounts and never have had this issue. I know this is a new program but this is an issue that should have been resolved way before the new year. I’m disappointed and hope to see this get fixed in the future. At the moment I’m not sure how to deposit in this without direct deposit and seeing how they have issues with bank to bank transfers not sure if I will hold much past spring. I will give them time to fix but not holding my breath. Doesn’t seem like a good Ramsey product and I don’t see them advertise it any more.

I think Ramsey products are great! However, I do not recommend this at all. Maybe it’s an account that works best with other Ramsey products, but not alone. After linking a bank account I was unable to move funds from the linked account to the Gazelle account. My only option was to move from the Gazelle account to the linked account which isn’t what I needed. After my direct deposit went through, I ended up moving all the money in my Gazelle account to another account, but had to do it in increments of $500 each because it kept declining anything more than that. And the only way I was even able to move money was by using the debit card to link, because if I tried to link it as a bank account using the routing number and account number, it could be found.

I will be closing this account. I consider this a huge flop and it will take a lot of changes to be successful. I can do so much more with a cash app debit card.

I’ve been a huge fan of Ramsey and was aware of the beta two years ago. I was invited to participate in the beta this second go round and was disappointed to find out joint banking with your spouse is not an available feature. Now with the official roll out, this feature is STILL not available despite their FAQ saying it would be made available before go live. Not sure how I am supposed to transition to this new banking platform when my spouse wouldn’t have line of sight to our finances or a debit card from which to spend. Confusing that Rachel and the team preach joining your accounts but this isn’t an option on their own system. Barrier to our family using the system.

There’s no way to return to last page during the process. I made a mistake and couldn’t fix it.

Why do we need to create login? You still use email as a login field.

It’s all a lie. Called them first answer got transfer without even saying my issue. Second they want my email so they can get back to me. And she told me after I asked her if this is how am I going to be service anytime I need customer service said I would have better luck next time.

What a a yeah I was expecting something way better.

I understand it just came but i have one issue and one missing feature:

-App logs me out when you close app or not not using it for a while.

-Balance transfer from bank to gazelle are not instant. For e.g: Cash App allows instant transfer using Banks debit card. 2 to 3 days is to long to wait.

The card doesn’t work at most locations. Gas stations won’t take it, car wash wouldn’t and restaurants. Banks do not stay connected nor can you get some connected at all.

I’ve used gazelle for about 1 month. I really liked the idea of creating a spending account for myself, but instantly learned that to transfer money from a traditional checking account to gazelle took 2 full days… the 2nd time I attempted to transfer money, the transfer feature has been unavailable for going on 3 days. Once I’m able to transfer money off of that card I’m not using it again. Customer service is only available during banking hours, and you’re unable to even send an email. They have a lot of bugs to work out

I was really excited about this card but so far I’ve found out my wife and I both ordered a card but cannot link our bank to both cards. As of right now I could only link one account to this card. I was able to do a transfer and make one purchase and then it all went down hill.

Now it’s showing the incorrect balance on the card and not allowing transfers which basically makes this thing useless. I get this is new but you guys pushed this thing out far too early and have my money basically in limbo right now.

I’d avoid signing up for this for awhile.

I love the concept of GazelleApp and think it has great potential.
One suggestion to make it more useful is to have the option to create digital envelopes that mirror the categories/monthly budget we have set up on our Every Dollar account.
My wife and I try to track our transactions weekly in Every Dollar, but sometimes end up doing it monthly. It would be nice if the Gazelle app could give you feedback at the point of purchase (maybe by sending a notification after each purchase?) to say something along the lines of, “You just spent $150 on groceries. You have $X remaining in your grocery budget this month”
There was another budget app we’ve tried where the user must pre-authorize any purchase by selecting which digital envelope to pull the money from (and thus forced the user to make a decision beforehand about whether that purchase would enable them to reach their monthly budgeted goal). Ultimately ended up not using GazelleApp as much because it didn’t talk with the Every Dollar app and it was difficult to aggregate transactions monthly. If Gazelle could incorporate something like this, I think it would be super successful.

I have loved this for the short time I used it. However, like most, having a joint account is important to me. I hope that comes asap. The sooner the better as my wife and I aren’t always together and we need to both have access to the account. Also a check would be good, for nothing other than the fact that I need to “prove” to my school district that it is in fact my bank that my direct deposit would be going into. I think it is doing well though.

I’m new to Gazelle. Seems pretty interesting. I haven’t used the card yet. I’m confused if you need to add funds to the card to be able to use it, or if you can just use the card and it’ll charge the associated bank account? Also, every time I close GazelleApp and open it again, I have to login. It doesn’t save my login, and I don’t see any option to save my login. Not sure if anyone else has this issue, but it’s just mildly inconvenient to have to type in the login every time. It’d be nice to have the FaceID saved login feature, or maybe even a PIN saved login feature.

The transfer (“move”) functionality is no longer working since the last software update. After pressing the “Make Transfer” button, I keep getting the error message “There was an error. Please try your request again. Okay”. I’ve tried for a couple of days. Thanks

I have used GazelleApp now for a couple months in the beta version with no issues. Connecting my bank to Gazelle was easy. For me this is strictly a spend account so I have not connected any financial institutions to send money out, so far no issues. The test will be when a fraudulent transaction takes place and how customer service handles it.

I look forward to seeing what all this financial option will bring. There is big potential here! I’m hopeful that this can replace other big name digital financial options. Also, hoping that the future will bring money organization options with in GazelleApp . PS: people who are leaving less then 5 stare reviews for a free service that is just getting of the ground… well, they are being ridiculous

Called in and asked a question about syncing between EveryDollar and my Gazelle account, and got all my questions asked and more. The gentleman I spoke to answered in-depth, and was incredibly polite and was happy to answer any questions that I had. Honestly, one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had. AND was connected immediately to him - no pressing buttons for certain extensions or speaking into the phone just to reach someone.

The initial setup required me to give the third-party institution a call for security reasons, but once that was settled I was in! It's been great being able to "cash out" my eating out category in the EveryDollar budgeting app and use the Gazelle card to control my spending at restaurants. It's like a digital envelope.

Speaking of EveryDollar. . . My Gazelle transactions showed up faster than my regular bank! That's especially helpful with tracking transactions over the weekend.

GazelleApp functions as expected and even allows for transferring funds in and out of Gazelle. I tested the "freeze card" function and it immediately blocked me from making an online purchase. Glad to know that function will work if my card was ever lost.

The one thing that would make this more awesome is if Apple Pay were enabled. Just going to have to show off that Gazelle card for now. 🤷🏻‍♂️

If you patiently way the 3 business day for the money to transfer and for the initial sync to the EveryDollar App. You will LOVE this card. You must PRE-FUND the card from your bank account, so this is not linked to the bank account. Plan ahead, with some patience, and you’ll have an amazing experience. Transactions showing IMMEDIATELY on my EveryDollar App. 10/10 Ramsey Team. GREAT WORK!

I am a big Ramsey fan! I have been working the Baby Steps since 2017. The Gazelle debit card made perfect sense to me to pair with EveryDollar, the budgeting app. My favorite aspect of the card is that most transactions show up nearly instantly in EveryDollar. I have the premium access with my Gazelle account linked. The other transactions will usually show up within a day. I use my Gazelle account as my monthly food envelope. This prevents me from overspending on groceries or restaurants. Thank you Ramsey and team for creating this card and app. I have not had any of the issues that other reviewers have experienced. Everything has worked well for me.

I use Gazelle all the time and love it! It integrates perfectly with the EveryDollar app and shows all of my transactions as soon as I use my card!

It allows me to track all of our spending and tell our money how to best work for us! The support team is great and always answers all of my questions! Keep up the great work!

I have been using Gazelle for several weeks with no issues. I was super excited to see the integration with EveryDollar that allows me to track a transaction immediately. I just bought groceries and had a transaction to track in EveryDollar before I got back to my car. This is a game changer for me!

Good idea for a product. Heard of people having issues logging in. Seems like they worked on the bank for 2+ yrs yet there are still a lot of missing features.

Does anyone one know when they’ll add a way to set up an account for a minor?
