Very useful app for densely populated areas.

Please add the ability for users that have internet to act as bridges to link users without internet and allow them to communicate with other users online.

If you have trouble getting Bridgefy to work. Logout, delete Bridgefy , and re-download. Then be sure you have internet the first time it launches and make sure Bluetooth is on first. Make sure you choose a new nickname if your first setup attempt didn’t work.

I’ve been a casual user of Bridgefy for years as I believe their mission is really compelling— and I wanted it ready for use if I were in a situation without internet. Bridgefy keeps improving security and encryption — and also adding features. It is a super-useful part of my messaging with close friends... looking forward to a future with even more this app connections!

This is great for the outdoors and places with flaky network. WhatsApp is good but there is nothing more annoying than not being able to communicate in places of low reception. solves this. Only drawback is that you need to get your peers to download it, but hey, same with any communication app.

App doesn’t work with two phones right next to each other. Really disappointed as this is an app that is needed. Wish the company was more forthcoming about the current status and also more interested in providing support.

Like so many others, I found Bridgefy simply didn’t work. It couldn’t find another this app user (my wife) just 5 feet away. We both had the latest version of Bridgefy ; we both have the latest version of iOS in our phones; we followed FAQ recommendations to close app, close and restart Bluetooth and restart app. Zip, zero, nil, nada. Had hopes, but….

While other Bluetooth messaging apps like Brekanan work like a charm, I can’t get Bridgefy to work at all. I’ve installed it on 4 phones, all running iOS 15: Two iPhone 6s, and two iPhone 11s. None can see each other or receive broadcasts. Bluetooth is on. Internet is available during setup.

I hope Bridgefy will be updated and fixed.

The UI was good until the latest update. Now it constantly switches between light and dark mode. Have tried force closing and re opening Bridgefy and also restarting phone with no luck. Will update review if they fix

I downloaded this and used skip verify to avoid giving my phone number but it granted itself - without prompting- access to my contacts which i never agree to. I am surprised apple let them. I immediately rescinded that in settings but there seems no way to use Bridgefy without giving them contact information or to delete the contact information they have stored once you have decided this isn’t for you. Most people don’t care about privacy like that but if you do then stay away

Just downloaded the latest update and it still doesn’t work.

Can’t get this to work between two iPhones. Tried turning Bluetooth on and off. Tried rebooting iPhones. Nothing works on Bridgefy.

Couldn't get this to work between two iPhones, even though they were within 10 feet of each other and both had Bluetooth on.

My friends phone is literally right next to me and we can’t see each other’s messages. There are no troubleshooting steps I can find anywhere so I guess it just doesn’t work

Bridgefy is unable to see another iOS device right next to it. Tends to show ads when you click on a button out of nowhere.

Phones are right next to each other and not receiving the broadcast messages

I have an iPhone 12 Pro with the current OS as of Jan 09 and it looks like the last time the software was updated was prior to the newest iOS iteration… needs a revamp!

Installed on two phones and didn’t work when tested it out on new iPhone 13 Pro Max. Maybe needs to be updated for iOS 15.

Not working at present with two devices right next to each other on iOS 15.

Two phones in the same room, neither show up for each other. Can’t use app at all.

Bridgefy is stupid I got 2 phones did what it said to get private chat and it didn’t work the phones were close to! So stupid would give it 0 if I could

Bridgefy is useless, don’t works absolutely. Reinstalling did not helps.

I’m so glad I have Bridgefy— it makes traveling so much more enjoyable to know if I lose signal I won’t be cut off from my travel buddies. I’ve used it at big concerts too, and the fact that I’m messaging while everyone else holds their phones to the sky in vain is a great testimony to the functionality and possibilities of Bridgefy and technology. Bravo!

We don't really know how much we need and rely on the internet until we don't have it. Shouldn't this be a utility?

Shortly after downloading Bridgefy and providing my phone number I received a mass text spam about money installment. My guess is that their phone database has been compromised.

Not sure how to remove my phone number from their database now. Beware that you need to provide your phone number when starting Bridgefy and who knows what kind of security they have to protect their database and your phone number.

The ability to communicate without being connected to the internet is incredible. Blown away by this app.

I used Bridgefy at a soccer match to find my friends and when I had no signal Bridgefy helped me do that just fine!

Make group whit content Bridgefy doesn’t have that

I have two new iPhones in the same room. It shows we are connected in Bluetooth but Bridgefy doesn’t recognize either phone. We are in each other’s contact list. Absolutely no help on company website, only selling SDK. Same as Air Chat. These things don’t work.

The company stores a copy of your message you send via Bridgefy on their servers indefinitely when sent over the internet. Their privacy policy also doesn’t mention end to end message encryption. Meaning there is none. This is worse than What’s App and Facebook Messenger! Using Telegram or nothing at all. Not worth it.

I would love to try this out but it won’t let me verify my number. It keeps saying “something wrong happened. Please try again. “ no mater what connection i have, cellular or wifi, it doesn’t let me. Please fix and i will change my rating. You need this to work for excitement for SDK use.

I read the information which says “application now starts up in anonymous mode and I have no longer need to verify my phone number in order to use Bridgefy ”. But application made me to verify my phone number on first step!!
I'm not gonna use Bridgefy until it fixed.

The major update they did a few months back said you don’t need a phone number to sign up or use Bridgefy . You do. You cannot get past the verify phone # screen immediately after downloading.

Read about its use by protestors against authoritarian communist regimes. They can’t block it, great idea.

There is no reason that I should have to input my cell phone number. I wonder if they are collecting this info to sell to the Chinese? I will be deleting Bridgefy and will not use until they remove the need to have a cell number to unlock app.
