Go look at the reviews for the Covid app and update SafeDistance accordingly so it’s useful. I downloaded it and totally agree with ALL the reviews about the colors being impossible to discern risk level based on the color table. Are you looking at the reviews at all? This would be such an easy fix. Not updating SafeDistance makes me doubt the accuracy of the information, and frankly, your institution. And to top it off, your “contact us” form I’m using in SafeDistance is impossible to send because it requires filling in a field that doesn’t allow you to fill it in. SafeDistance is a great idea but the color key is bad execution.

So should I delete SafeDistance, or are you going to fix it? Please advise.

Totally Useless. Developers should be ashamed.

2022-09-12

SafeDistance has zero purpose other than to waste a prospective persons time. The developers were obviously non caring in whatever their goal or intention was but it was not in line with helping the public with COVID 19 issues. Apple should dump SafeDistance and ban the developer from further lame attempts at being productive. Harsh but true.

The map is unreadable.

2022-10-13

I love the idea of SafeDistance . However, the color choice and manner of application of the various risk levels on the map makes it virtually impossible to tell what the level of risk is at any particular location. In other words, in its current form, SafeDistance is useless.

Worthless

2022-11-14

People have been complaining about the map legend overlay colors since SafeDistance came out and you still haven’t fixed it. That just speaks to how much the creators actually care about keeping the public informed.

Map colors are not helpful

2022-12-15

Please change the threat color coding scheme on the map. It seems like the neighborhood colors match the key, but the larger partially transparent areas are just impossible to use. I would really love to have this information but I will delete this until it is usable.

Instant crash crash!

2023-01-16

It worked well a few months ago when I first downloaded it. I liked the map even though the colors were off a bit. Now it crashes two seconds after I open it. I will defeat it and reinstall after it is updated and fixed.

App immediately crashes

2023-02-17

As soon as I bring up SafeDistance it crashes, I tried rebooting my phone but had the same results, I deleted SafeDistance and then reinstalled it unfortunately this had no effect again SafeDistance only crashes when trying to bring it up.

I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max running the current 14.2 software

It would be nice if they fix this

Map colors ineffective

2023-03-18

This could be an extremely useful tool if the map colors weren’t so ambiguous. And some of the colors on the map are not even on the legend. There should also be a better palate used for the colors. For colorblind people, the color hue and tone similarities are too close.

Map colors don’t correspond with legend

2023-04-19

There are colors on the risk map that bear no resemblance to the risk color codes. Separately, iPhone “Exposure Notifications” feature doesn’t seem to work with SafeDistance even though SafeDistance tracks you. Developer should clarify if SafeDistance is supposed to notify you if you were near a self-reported COVID victim.

Map Colors Are a Problem

2023-05-20

The base colors on the map show through making the school areas look like a higher risk, even though the schools are closed.

Map colors confusing

2023-06-21

This appears to have been an issue for months, most of the map is a shade that doesn’t match anything on the legend. It would also help to know what the different colors actually mean.

Map colors and legend don't match

2023-07-22

Either pick a different color palette for the hot-spot map, support press and hold to bring up a text for the risk level, increase the opacity of the risk overlay, or give up on thinking the risk map is a useful feature. Recommendation reflect CDC standards. But the hotspot feature is worthless.

Better/accurate map colors

2023-08-23

I like SafeDistance but the colors on the maps do not accurately match what the color codes are.
Maybe have more significantly different colors, blue or green to differentiate better in the levels of threat.

Map Colors Illegible

2023-09-24

I too came to say that the map overlay colors are hard to read. This is the most interesting feature. I think a little change would help.

Decent idea, but map needs improvement

2023-10-25

The colors on the legend don’t match the colors on the map all that well, especially in the high and up categories. Renders that part somewhat useless.

Needs some improvements...

2023-11-26

1. I agree with another reviewer: the map/legend colors issue makes the map pretty much useless. Please correct this!
2. Some of the Health questions are ambiguous, e. g., “How many people have you been in close contact with in the last 24 hours?” Does this refer only to people outside of your household, or does it include them?

The risk map is very confusing

2023-12-27

The color palate makes it impossible to tell what level is in your area. Fix it, and it will be useful.

Nice app

2024-01-28

I would like to use this as a screening tool of patients coming into my medical office. It would be great if there was an option to share results via email or text.

Tracking by a health organization

2024-02-29

Let’s all use the same app so the data is more significant. Independent of how you feel about Partners. They can do research. I stayed away from apps with in-app purchases. Will not have great data and mercenary. We want statistical research on this. This data will help.

Great App! Using local Health Department & this App Keeps you Informed.

2024-03-30

Applying information from local health departments and SafeDistance has helped me decide what areas to avoid traveling to when I need to shop or hike/walk. Thanks! Obviously a few users need the Toddler version.(Insert eye roll here.)

Great idea but unable to complete access

2024-12-16

I have an iPhone 6 and I am unable to access the last page regarding location services.
