Wonderfull application helped my heart.

I love KardiaDeepBreathing. It is my daily "friend". I started using it after my HRV test and KardiaDeepBreathing was recommended me by my doctor as a tool to tame my rapid pulse and manage stress . After using it for a few months with my personal setting ( from HRV test) I forgot about my SVT and I am amazed that you can treat this heart condition just with the proper personal breath pattern avoiding beta blockers medication or an ablation procedure. I am very happy. I feel blessed. Thank you.

Best breath pacer that I have found!

I love this breath pacer. It is the only one I’ve found that had a pleasant audio sound for the in-breath and then the out-breath so that I can close my eyes to do my practice. You can adjust the inhale/exhale ratio incrementally. You can also adjust the breaths per minute very incrementally (by .25 of a breath). The controls are easy to use and learn. The only thing that would make it better for me is if I could set the timer for longer than 5 minutes. 😊

Biofeedback (cardiac coherence)

I went to a biofeedback doctor and practiced cardiac coherence using games. I was surprised to find many of the “meditation” apps don’t have the simple feature of breathing rates that has been scientifically proven to help with anxiety. KardiaDeepBreathing doesn’t pop up on the top search lists but I found it the best and most simple for breathing at the rate my doctor found was best for me 4.5 cycles/min.

Non-tech pro experience

I like some elements of the simplicity of KardiaDeepBreathing and sounds. The instructions to change periods of breath/cycle lengths sounded simple enough, but in initial use found it felt quite awkward to use. It would waaaay simpler for me (not tech pro) to be able to change all settings for various elements in the options/settings in one area than swiping up or down on the separate home screen...Everything located in one easy to use obvious area would make it “keep it simple stupid” across the board. Otherwise great straight to the point useful app :)

The most versatile breathing app I have found.

That said, it would be very helpful to have more information on how to calculate the optimal breath rate for a given heart rate.
For example, for a person with a resting average heart rate of 50 bpm, what would be the corresponding breath rate per minute for optimal cardiac coherence? Many thanks, bill walker

Need more directions how this works

Nicenut not as easy to operate as you think it is.
I understand that KardiaDeepBreathing designers think the directions are intuitive, but I am not that tech savvy and get easily discouraged, words work better for me than pushing buttons trying to get the results I want,
Right now the circle is full screen and I want to reduce it to normal size again and can’t make that happen.

Perfect and customizable

WOW. This is exactly what I have been looking for. It is extremely easy to customize, and I love that you can set it to ease into a slow breathing rate. The instructions are amazingly clear and detailed The sounds are also wonderful. How fun that you can pick your own color. This makes me want to meditate by breathing.

Great and easy to use.

My only suggestion would be to have a chime option at the end of the inhale and exhale. I thought this was there but then when I upgraded with a purchase, the option seemed to disappear.

Kardia

I just started using Kardia two weeks ago! It has really been helping me with my breathing and relaxation! I live a very fast passed life and forget to take time to just sit, relax and take a few deep breath’s! Thank you for helping others like me who need this!

Did you forget how to breathe?

Because apparently I did. Honestly, learning how to take evenly timed inhales and exhales was a weird thing to relearn. KardiaDeepBreathing is great, you can time how many breaths you take in a minute which is good when you’re learning how to do it. Try starting around 4.5.

Needs simplified user control and more flexibility

It is very confusing trying to customize user controls, I still haven’t been able to make app perform as I wish. Also, I would like to set sustain period between in & exhale. Sometimes the vibration doesn’t work to signal the change between in and exhale.

Very helpful

I like the flexibility of KardiaDeepBreathing to set rate, time and tones. There’s a harmonic on the two bowls tone that’s somewhat irritating to my ear, and I wish the ocean tone sounded more like waves—sounds a bit like a rush of static. Otherwise an excellent app. Thank you!

Awesome breathing app

This application provides just what it says it will. It provides a means to regulate your breathing and provides enough ways to individualize the experience to suit most everyone. Very pleased with the application!

Great app

Easy to use, lots of ways to customize, helpful background and instructions. Definitely notice a difference in mood and groundedness when I practice the techniques.

Really worth trying

This is a great app, and I think it is especially helpful for alleviating stress easily and quickly. A good alternative to meditation, which is harder to do when you are already stressed out.

Just need space for transition.

Love KardiaDeepBreathing . Really like the customization of timing in and out. However, can’t figure out how to program in a one second transitional holding of breath after both the in and out breath.

By

Love that I can do it anywhere

I really enjoy how simple it is to use and that I can follow along with my eyes closed.

A except for the palette of sounds

I like everything about KardiaDeepBreathing except for the sounds. My favorite is the single bowl, but the sound is tinny. I would prefer a richer, more sonorous tone. The controls for time and pace are excellent.

Great App, well designed UI

Does what it says and does it well, the UI is well thought out, customizable. Nice.

Could use a companion Watch app and possibly Healthkit integration and a few minor frills, but otherwise it’s great.

Try it.

Love it

I love KardiaDeepBreathing . I use it daily - I would only love to extend the time to 10 or 15 minutes, otherwise it’s great!

Brilliant

I love things that are simple and elegantly designed. And of course they have to work, too. KardiaDeepBreathing is all that, plus it’s effortless to use, is customizable, and gets results in a surprisingly enjoyable way. Hands down, one of my all time favorite apps.

4/6 breathing

I love KardiaDeepBreathing !

This request has to do with my ineptitude, not with any lack in your beautiful app.

When trying to set up a breathing cycle that mimics counting to four on the inhale and six on the exhale, I find I get confused. For non tech old folks like me, it would be cool to be able to pick the ratio we want, then modify duration as necessary individually...and have KardiaDeepBreathing track it for us so the ratio stays the same.

Love this app!

It’s extremely rare that I write reviews but KardiaDeepBreathing is great! I am using it with an emWave 2 device to keep breathing at ideal rate in order to activate parasympathetic nervous system.

Me and my Husband

We just love KardiaDeepBreathing. Our careers are so demanding and we just need a moment to relax before we dive into home life. It’s perfect.

Difficult to change settings

I found it very difficult to change setting, such as time/duration, inhalation:exhalation etc. Not very user friendly or intuitive.
