Bought Classic. Flash was on and finger correctly positioned over lens. App doesn’t work. Requesting refund.

Developer responded and instructed me to update to new version which addresses and corrects heart rate detection failure. I updated app and enabled camera in iPhone settings. Heart rate detection failed repeatedly. I will request a refund.

Update: I got app to detect heart rate by completely covering iPhone 11 Pro lenses with two fingers. Will cancel refund request.

Works really well as an alternative to the more expensive HeartMath systems. Agree with one of the previous viewers that it would be nice to have some kind of audio feedback for breath and coherence so I don't have to keep my eyes focused on the screen during sessions. Especially when I use it a night or before bed. Other than that, it's great!

I gave HeartRateCoherencePRO a bad review earlier because it just wasn’t working with the new phones.

It is now upgraded and works great!! So glad because I use it every day and I feel it helps with stress and anxiety.

Some cool improvements, too, such as custom motivational images.

HeartRateCoherencePRO is free for 1.5 minutes. This gives you a chance to test the HRV and see if it works for you. You can also connect to a bluetooth HR strap and test for free. If you like it, you can buy the Classic (Camera sensor only) or Bluetooth (includes Camera mode) add-on.

I tested with the Wahoo Tickrx Bluetooth HR strap and it worked like a charm.

Cons:
- The pulse sound is harsh, though you can disable it

Request:
- I would like a gentle audio feedback of coherence status so I can practice with my eyes closed. Perhaps an ambient loop that increases in volume when as coherence increases. See the Pause app by ustwo.

This is a great app to track your breathing / heart rate / stress level. I always seem to tense up and hold my breath at some point during my commute to work. I can't wait to see what Is actually going on with me during my drive to work. The price is a bit steep though.

I have tried a lot of the HRV / coherence training apps available and this is the most reliable, easy to use, and technically sound app I've found. I initially did have some questions and the developers responded and resolved everything. I use the Polar H7 heart rate monitor.

This is a great app. I would love to close my eyes and relax but there is no audio feedback for the breath timing. Such an easy fix. Come on devs, let’s get on this. I’ll real rate to 5 stars once this feature is enabled.

I have body-wide neuropathy and I'm doing the 2x daily 20m sessions. I was super skeptical at first, but I've been completely amazed. I was able to stop a debilitating pain flare and get back on my feet! Your milage may vary, but I'm so glad I purchased HeartRateCoherencePRO. Very worth it.

HeartRateCoherencePRO has been trouble ever since the update. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m using the iPhone XR and the flash is further from the camera or HeartRateCoherencePRO still has some bugs. I’ve tried a Bluetooth device and it still doesn’t respond well. I used to really like HeartRateCoherencePRO because it was the only one of its kind.

Been using HeartRateCoherencePRO for 5 or 6 years. Nice to not need special hardware although seems to be inconsistency with results on the coherence spectrum. I also really do not like the audio cues in the latest app but have sorely wanted an audio cue for a long time. Will change review if the audio becomes a bit more melodic like The Breathing App.

Great app. But it really needs the option to use Apple Watch for feedback and heart rate! Please add

It works. I haven't tried it with the h7 sensor yet but will eventually. I have no doubt it's at least as good as the handheld "math" device and it's a fraction of the cost. Give it a try.

Useful breathing app which could be easily improved. No customer support, outdated recommendations for heart rate monitor and only for a belt model ( really?). Useless coherence graph because of rescaling, tiny and dark font for coherence score and timer.

The flashlight sensor seemed to use a lot of battery so I got a Polar H7 monitor. HeartRateCoherencePRO seems to have a hard time syncing and staying synced. I don’t seem able to do a full meditation without it dropping sync. That sorta skews the data, or so it would seem.

I used to recommend HeartRateCoherencePRO to my stress management clients but it stopped working with my new iPhone. I read a review that it was working with the newer models but it isn’t true. This is such a shame. It was my all time favourite app.

Not sure about the other reviews but works great. Would give it a 5 but I think the Heart Math app is better (and more expensive). For the money it's worth using.

I love HeartRateCoherencePRO but it always loses my finger. I’m on a 7 Plus and its almost unusable. I tried all kinds of positions on the right camera, and it always loses my finger.

I upgraded to an iPhone XR and now it cannot catch my finger on camera consistently at all. Bummer.

The breath graph is too short and not easy to see , adjust or follow.

I upgraded and bought the audio but it doesn’t work 99% of the time. Technical support is not responding to my inquiries. Can anyone suggest another app?
