Easy Taxi, a Cabify app Reviews

I live in Bogota, Colombia. Last two updates did something to EasyTaxiaCabifyapp location. Now when I use the map to pinpoint my location, it displays an address one or two blocks away. This is really frustrating as the taxi drivers get upset with me because they think I am putting in the wrong address!?

EasyTaxiaCabifyapp used to work nicely, but not anymore.

Don’t bother to use EasyTaxiaCabifyapp in Bogota, Colombia. All the yellow taxi drivers use EasyTaxiaCabifyapp to their business. You won’t have a chance to get any taxi in La Candelaria area because too many people need a ride. Also the driver won’t locate you correctly. They will text you (in Spanish) first ask your location, which is a hassle for non-Spanish speakers. They want you to pay cash as well. The fate is not standardized. Easy Taxi is a small company will soon go out of business, because even locals hate it. I am deleting EasyTaxiaCabifyapp. Total wast of time and money.

My husband and I used EasyTaxiaCabifyapp while traveling in Peru. We were able to connect just fine to the first destination, but after that it would cancel every ride and say there was a problem with our account. We tried multiple payment options, changed and reinserted our information multiple times, and there was still a problem. Nothing is worst than being literally stranded in an unfamiliar area. In the end we downloaded Uber, and had a lovely drive back home with no problem.

Easy Taxi used to be the best yellow taxi app in Bogotá. Suddenly on an automatic update (#%*$!) it’s now been taken over by cabify and random strangers come to pick me up in their personal vehicles and tell me to sit up front with them. There is no way to go back. Most awful service ever!!!

Whatever card I use works for about a week then stops. The card is fine and not blocked. I try another card and get the same result the fools in customer support tried arguing that it was because my card is foreign but it is a BANCOLOMBIA CREDIT CARD. The other is Banco Falabela.
Now they seem to have installed some email chat bot system and aren't real people anymore. I'm through with Easy Taxi. It's too hard!

I ordered a taxi. I get linked up with a driver that originally said was only 3 minutes away, but switched to 12 once the taxi order was made. But the taxi continued to drive and didn’t reach me for a hour! He was hoping I would cancel and then he would still get paid! So you have taxis that won’t come and pick you up in hopes you will cancel and still be charged a fee!!!

I had been using EasyTaxiaCabifyapp for months and suddenly it stopped working. When I open it, it sometimes shows I’m on a ride and won’t let me order a cab. Whenever I try to order a cab it immediately says no cars available, even though it works when I try another phone. I’ve written 4 emails asking for support. Useless.

It says on y’all page that you can you cash but when I’m using the EasyTaxiaCabifyapp it don’t say you can use cash.

As in many other reviews, all of my cards got rejected with an error “Check your connection”. Visa checkout is configured to accept Mexican billing address only. Sounds like EasyTaxiaCabifyapp intentionally rejects ccs so people would need to carry cash and get scammed by the taxi drivers. Uber is not taking away jobs, greedy taxi companies are doing this to themselves.

And was actually very convenient in Quito... Until it misquoted the price for an airport ride by $8, wouldn’t allow me to pay with credit card due to a malfunction, and absolutely NO response from “support,” even with multiple requests for help, in English and in Spanish. If something goes wrong, it appears you are completely on your own.

Gets the job done, although it’s light years away from the competition like UBER or Cabify. It’s glitchy and have some bugs. Also taxi drivers are part of the problem because their lack of understanding of the technology renders bad service.

So far the few times that I’ve used it, the gps is very faulty. Once I order the taxi I have to send a text message to correct the pick up address. Otherwise the service has been very good.

Of five rides in Bogota , four of the taxis did not arrive at the correct pick up location - the pin would show the drivers that our location was two or three blocks away so be prepared to walk to meet your driver. Reminds me of the teething issues with Lyft/Uber in the early years.

When the address returned by the google map is wrong, the place address does not match the real life coordinates of the place and EasyTaxiaCabifyapp only obey the address, but the coordinates must have priority over the address because the coordinates is the place where I really am.

Sometimes EasyTaxiaCabifyapp fail therefore I give you 3 stars
But the drivers are the best I strongly recommend them!
