Mini Golf Stars: Arena Battle! Reviews

I played this game religiously for the last two months. Started playing for real $$ about 3-4 weeks ago and enjoyed playing. For over a week now, each and every time I start a match the system glitches. Reached out to support 8 times and received 8 responses asking me to identify the match # or my opponent but the matches never got past a freeze screen and I had no way to provide what the tech agents were asking for. I was told to trick the system by using a volume button pattern and even after I did this, copied and pasted it to an external email, no fix but my actual $$ was gone because they charge 10% of the match price when you “tied”. It was my favorite app of the year now I believe it’s just a scam. Just for the aggregation they should refund my entire deposit. Asked for a phone cal to explain the glitch but they are not offering “phone support” at this time. Play the game and have fun for “Z” tickets but DO NOT give them your money if you want to “Win”. The company profits 20% per match. Multiply this SMALL fee time 1,000’s and you can all do the math. Hope you have a better experience than me. I’m very unhappy. ...all over $2.00 prompted me to write this. Never written a review like this in my life. Good luck.

The game is really fun, now! I had downloaded it a while back and it was kinda lacking in variety. It was a little boring with no real difficulty. Now, it’s fairly difficult and pretty fun! The only real complaints I have is that it’s a little glitchy. If you hit too hard, the ball will phase through the walls, and the way the scoring is is a little too demanding. Mistakes happen in golf and I think they should be left in, instead of forcing the player to retry a hole. ESPECIALLY if it’s a really difficult one. Sure, you have the option to skip the hole, but you have to watch a 30 second ad. I also think the game could be more fun with a course option, where it’s 9 or 18 holes, like a real mini golf course. Other than these things, the game is pretty fun! For now, the game gets a 3/5. If these things are changed, I’ll give it a 5/5. :)

When I downloaded this game I was overflowing with enthusiasm to bring my dreams of indulging in virtual mini golf to reality. Seconds felt like minuets and minuets felt like hours as the anticipation of downloading this game ate away at my insides. I could hardly wait! When the game finally downloaded I clicked on MiniGolfStars faster than you can say "Indiana Jones" As I pulled up the first hole and took my first shot a considerable flaw in the mini golf system became apparent to me. Apparently the foolhardy designers of MiniGolfStars don't understand the difference between a wall and a ramp. My mini golf putts were aimlessly flying off the course when they hit a so called "wall" I was in complete and utter disbelief when I witnessed this action take place. These false walls took me by surprise and absolutely rocked my world. MiniGolfStars is one of the most insanely idiotic apps I have ever seen. At no point in this apps incoherent existence did I even consider it a real app. Everyone who has played this game is now dumber for playing it. I award you no stars and may God have mercy on your soul.

The game app picture is the only thing that looks good about the game. You hit curbs that separate the grass playing field from the restricted area and when you hit it, you go right through it. Next is you have an option to watch videos for other apps to earn boosters or coin and it says 50 free coin per video watched. After watching the ad, it then says you earned 25 coins for watching the ad. The game isn't what I thought it would be. It is someone's poor attempt to try and make some money. Lastly, there is a leaderboard that shows how many stars you have earned. You can earn a max of 3 stars per level. The leaderboard says the top player has almost 2 billion stars, which makes me believe there is 60 million levels? Sadly, it is not worth it. I would have given zero stars except MiniGolfStars Store wouldn't let me. There is no way this game has that many good reviews. Spend time and read them. They all sound like they were written by the same person.

I really enjoy MiniGolfStars. There is a good mix of easy and difficult holes. My only complaint is the stupid vibrations. I’d really like to turn them off. Every time you go out of bounds or complete a hole it does that. I like to enjoy games in silence unless I need sound and vibrations for something in the game. So please make this an option in future updates.

Lots to like here, many holes, cheap to eliminate ads, but there are still many extras the game wants you to buy, you can watch video ads for extras. Some hole layouts make sense others are from a bad dream and it takes playing them a few times to break par.

I will delete as I don’t have fun with these holes. I do okay in score but would never want to play again, or even finish.

What I don’t like are the impossible holes where you must guess what to do, no skill (if one ever attains that) is involved. Often the best option is to “chip” which is not putting, obviously. Some holes are only possible with options like Speed or Stop or as I said Chip. For this you need to watch a zillion video ads or pay lots of bucks.

Since the last update, in single player mode when you finish the level and click next level, it takes you to the beginning of the wholes. So aggravating when your on level 168 and have to scroll all the way to the top to get to the next level every time. Loved this game but am now thinking of deleting. Hopefully this can be solved.

Game was fun for a very long time. We had a good group around the world competing everyday for daily event. Because there was no chat, we’d communicate by changing our usernames. I did eventually get tired and stop playing due to repetitive levels everyday. I logged in today and a week ago and noticed the daily game isn’t occurring anymore . I will definitely come back if there is an update and maybe a chat feature.

This is a good mini golf game, but there are few game options once the main games have been beaten. I have enough stars to buy all the bonus extras, but the chip option is only fully optional in the single player mode, and is intermittent in the 3 Star streak builder mode that I’ve never passed 10 consecutive levels in; because the chip portion is never available when needed!!! I can use 100,000 stars a week, and the chip option is never there on streak builder except on certain holes, per round???!!!

Actually I like this game. Just a few issues. First of all, I’ve gone through and gotten 3 stars on every hole of all four levels of the single player option and now have nothing to do but start all over again. Second when you try to view the holes to see what it’s like you can’t rotate the screen to see all the angles. 3rd , at times the ball becomes hidden and you can’t see it to hit it, so you just have to guess.

Addition. I’ve just completed all 72 holes in nighttime mode single player. What happened to holes 73 - 80 as I still have 27 stars to get in nighttime mode?

Lots of glitches embedded in the game. Closest to the pin... well it doesn’t matter if you are even on the same playing level as the pin as long as you are close! You can be on the putting green below an elevated pin and beat someone who is on the hole! Many other glitches as well including using boosters that don’t have an effect on the ball or my favorite, effect the ball in a way that make the next putt not possible. A few times my ball was stopped in midair and then all subsequent putts were not possible because they shot me out of bounds automatically.

I invested a lot of time in this game and completed each and every hole with three stars. I was expecting at least some type of reward, like a Congratulations!, or some celebratory music, but I got nothing. Also, if there is a fee to stop the endless pop-up adds, I couldn’t find it. All said and done, this is still a 5 star game because it’s so challenging and very well designed.

The game is a good time passing mini golf game. Not overly complicated like a lot of mobile games. But I watched a ton of ads, giving them revenue, so I could get stars to buy one of the balls. Finally got the American Flag one, and it’s just black when I play. I can’t get it to show the one I bought. It’s basically impossible to get enough stars just from playing so I watched a ton of ads and I didn’t even get what I bought. Pretty annoying since it’s one of the only customizable/features in the game. I wish I could refund ad time but obviously you can’t. Anyway, game is fine otherwise.

Have been playing the game for a couple of weeks with no issues. Was level 14, 80 million in gold, and owned all balls and pointers. Accessed the game today after the most recent update and I am back at level 1, my avatar picture, and name have changed. Attempted to change them back, but it kept ignoring my request. Have no idea what happened. Attempted to delete and reinstall the game, but still have the same issues with the avatar and name. Game now has been deleted since it no longer works and I lost everything I worked for when i reinstalled. Very disappointing.

Less than satisfying, I deleted MiniGolfStars after 5 holes. On one hole, the graphics apparently put me into a shadow to where I could no longer see the course, let alone the hole. I had to rotate my shot angle to see where I was and guess the direction to putt my ball. There is no overhead view to see what the layout of the hole is. There is a zoom button, but you are at its mercy of panning to see what the hole course looks like. It is cumbersome and annoying to try to get the angle of your shot as it is not highly responsive. You try to stop at the angle to where you want it but it keeps going. This is on an iPad Pro 12.9 2nd Gen.

I really enjoy the game. The competition seems real. I love the opportunity to play fast or play good. But the game has crashed on me 4 times today. I start a game, my screen goes black, and it doesn’t come back until I shut down MiniGolfStars . When I get back into the game, it has kept the coins that I wagered on the contest, but I didn’t get to play. I would have just sent a message to the developer but there was no way to do it on MiniGolfStars .

The is one of the best apps I've downloaded it's so fun. All though there are occasional cheaters. This game can go to hell with the cheating!!! I'm happy I don't use real money to play other wise I wouldn't stop till I got a refund this game cheats you so bad it's like they want people to come on MiniGolfStars and cheat and take money from people who actually want to play.

MiniGolfStars started out being fun. By my third hole, (#57) the chip shot always brings me to an ad. You watch it to get the points but when you try to chip back to the ad again. To get par the other way is very tough but possible. If that weren’t true, or if there is a way around it, the improvements are phenomenal. Still searching to get over this small barrier.

I downloaded the game and played the first four holes before deleting it. The holes seemed pretty bland and lacking, although still decently fun. Next we’re the controls. Not a game breaker, but certainly not a great design. That’s just me being picky. My real problem came when I tried to hit the ball. If you set the power high the ball goes straight through the walls. I couldn’t hit the ball with enough force, and it ruined the game for me. The game was very glitchy, and I was only four holes in. Save your time!

1. Fix this bug: The 1,000,000 (highest) prize head to head tournament takes you to the 4 player mode instead of head to head! Please fix.

2. Get rid of CPU head to head players. Want to play real people every time.

3. Everything else about the update is fantastic!
