    Worked great at first but then........

    The App worked flawlessly for three days and then it stopped accepting my credit card all of a sudden. It gave an error when requesting a ride. I know my card is good having used it all over Paris. I tried registering a second credit card but was rejected. I reached out to customer service and was told that it was my banks error. However, I spoke with my bank and all looked good from their end. I tried using the app again the next day and the same error occurred. But this time even though a ride was not placed, I immediately received an alert from my bank saying that an authorization has been placed on my card from Kapten. Once again I reached out to their customer service only to be given a lecture about credit card authorizations. If an authorization was approved it means my credit card is working just fine. Kapten is a joke! Stick with Uber instead. It might be a little more pricey but it’s certainly more reliable. Don’t waste your time with Kapten. It left me stranded in Paris rush hour!

    Good rides and app until something goes wrong. Don’t expect to hear back sooner than a week after your complaint or question.

    They will rip you off.

    Got quoted 56 euro for a ride and 8 minutes waiting time. Driver took 25 minutes after I had to call and walk towards him because he was just driving back and forth 3 blocks away. My mother has difficulty walking so I had to push her an additional 3 blocks to try to track down our driver. 1) he should have called or texted us if he needed to change the meeting place. 2) he charged us for the extra time he wasted driving back and forth 3 blocks away instead of contacting us. 3) we were charged a total of 96 euro from an initial quote of 56 euro. That is a bloody rip off. 4) booked a previous ride with no issues but subsequent rides have rejected my credit card so I had to use my sister’s card to book this horrendous ride. I should have booked with Uber which we have not had a single issue since we’ve been in Paris. Book at your own risk.

    Poor experience

    app was working fine for first few days - I used it for about 5-6 rides until one day they came out with a 50% off promo and I used it once before all of a sudden the app stopped working, saying there is something wrong with my payment account. When I messaged customer service they were adamant to say there is something wrong with my credit card but I know it’s not true because I had been using the same card for 5-6 rides already and I’ve continued to use the same card without an issue elsewhere. Tried registering other cards and they didn’t work either. Pretty sure what happened was they pushed too good of a promo and realized they were losing too much money, so they just turned off the payment function and blamed it on customers.

    Needs some work

    As others have mentioned, I had trouble with the payment processing using Apple Pay. Finally able to get it working after 3-4 unsuccessful tries. My biggest gripe is that the app doesn't tell you what color the car is that's picking you up, and the car on the map shows as white so my first time I spent 5 minutes looking around for a white car when it was grey the whole time. Seems like a really easy addition that would make the experience much better for a passenger. I also miss the route information that shows on the map in other ride sharing apps

    Worst service

    They charged me double of my fare cause the driver stop 2 blocks away. They didn’t even said it before! Otherwise I wouldn’t requested cause I had luggage. But they did said that they would charge me for the extra wait time! I try to contact them many times and they always evade me with a policy. Am I supposed to pay double of my fare? Even though the driver didn’t pick me up ? I didn’t have any other option than cancel the ride. Request another taxi app service and they picked me up right in front of my place with no excuses that couldn’t make a turn on the street. 🤷🏻‍♂️ deleting this app and not using it or recommend it to anyone.

    The service is not that great

    The app seems to work, but the service is lackluster. I’ve used this to get a car to airport. The car was good and the driver was polite. We got to airport with no issues. All seemed fine until I’ve noticed that my sunglasses are missing. I’ve remembered really well having them in the car, so I’ve decided to contact Kapten. And that’s where it all went wrong. Even though they have a dedicated lost item menu, it’s based on the mail feedback. So no emergency at all. I’ve written 3 mails urging them to contact driver. They only got back to me next day after I’ve already left the country

    Not that good

    At first it was good because of the really competitive prices, but drivers never come to exact location sometimes I got up to 7 mins. The drivers usually take so long compared to the time shown on the screen and some drivers don’t show up at all and keep getting further from location, and once I cancel I’m charged for the ride and customer service is awful so they don’t refund the money and blame it on the customer. Overall my experience with this app hasn’t been good and there’s a lot of room for improvement.

    Credentials invalid can’t log in, can’t delete

    Was working. After I logged out, it wouldn’t accept my password. Keeps saying credentials invalid. Selected forgot password, got email and followed instructions, changed password, tried to log in. Same invalid credentials message. Deleted app. Reinstalled (it downloads from the cloud.) Same invalid credentials message. Have changed password and deleted app 3 times. Can’t delete from cloud to open a new account. Absolutely useless now. Glad I found out this was useless before I got to Paris and tried to get a ride.

    Drivers always cancel it never show

    It is now that I know the worth of Uber and Lyft in the states( that are always there for you whenever you need them) I flew into London from New York City, downloaded this useless app. The drivers always cancel 90 percent of the time, they are not serious or the app will keep giving you a payment error. Why is this approved in the App Store, it doesn’t work and is simply a joke. Please, if you have somewhere important to be, avoid kapten at all cost or you will regret. Uber and Lyft is still the best!

    professional & dependable

    Have been using Chauffeur Privé in Paris regularly for a couple of years and have found them to be very reliable, the drivers courteous and professional. Very pleased with this service.

    Very useful in Paris

    Glad to have this app to help me get around the Parisian region. Drivers are professional. The one somewhat dangerous experience I encountered with an exhausted driver going far too fast on the highway was quickly handled with tact.

    Ride never showed up

    Ordered a ride in Paris, wait time was supposed to be 3 minutes. Then 5 minutes, 4 minutes and after that the time went up, up, up...by the time my Bolt ride arrived (btw, it took them 4 minutes) Kapten wait time was up to 25 minutes. I think at this point it’s unfair for Kapten to charge me 6 EUR to cancel which they do. I would give zero stars if that option was available.

    Arrived in Paris and was excited to see a new and affordable ride share option with a short wait time. However, within a minute our driver alerted us he had arrived even though he was nowhere to be found. We tried calling and texting and got no response. Eventually the waiting time cancelled and I was charged a 9€ cancellation fee with no response from customer support for help. WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.

    Amzing if you are in paris

    The best app for taxi in paris. They are unique and there prices cheaper than the regular taxi. The drivers Are really good and well dressed up. In paris this is better than ubar
