L sound is incorrect?

I just can’t figure out what sound was the kid making for letter L. I played it over and over and it does not sound at all like the phonics for L.
Good App with flaws

ABCMAGICPHONICS is a good idea but it has flaws. The man, woman, and child voices pronounce letter sounds differently. Some of the sounds said by the child voice are incorrect. It would be better if the letter was announced without having to press a separate button. There is no option to cycle through continuously without having to swipe.
Please note the developers response is not exactly relative to the statement I made. While it sounds “nice” it doesn’t address my concern about ABCMAGICPHONICS .
Kindergarten Teacher’s Review

As a teacher with many years of experience dealing with young students, I feel I can give credibility to both the critics and the developer of ABCMAGICPHONICS. As someone well versed in phonics, I agree with the critics that the letter L sound is being mispronounced by the young girl’s voice. However, I agree with the developer that many people add an extra vowel sound onto the ending several letters when they pronounce them. In my assessment of the letter L disagreement between critics and the developer, I found that the mispronunciation the young girl is displaying is not in the ending sound of the letter L, but in the initial (starting) sound of the letter L. It sounds like her tongue is not fully touching the roof of her mouth when saying the word, thus causing the mispronunciation. She is not developmentally ready to correctly pronounce the letter L sound. After all, she does have a young voice, so she is saying the letter L appropriately for her age. However as she ages, she will correctly be able to say the initial letter L sound. Until then, I would suggest the developer get an older child’s voice to say the letter L. Finally, to the developer, I would agree with the other critic that there should not be a separate button where a child has to press it to hear the letter name. The child should be able to hear the letter name first, then the letter sound when clicking in any button. In my experience in working with a variety of young kids in the classroom, they don’t take that extra time to click on a separate button to get the name of the letter. Therefore, they won’t learn the name of the letters. So, I would suggest changing your app to merge both the letter names and letter sounds onto one click of a button instead of two. Lastly, please add a picture for the letter x like X-ray and repeat the sound like x,x,X-Ray. Until ABCMAGICPHONICS changes based on my suggestions, I cannot rate ABCMAGICPHONICS higher than 3 stars.
The sound that N makes randomly appears as yeuh not nnn

I’m currently a literacy specialist student and researched ABCMAGICPHONICS for a class. I’m considering using it now with my students. I really the simplicity of ABCMAGICPHONICS as it doesn’t have any “fluff.” If being used to help students learn a specific a skill there shouldn’t be too many distractions from the purpose. There are plenty of other apps with all kinds of games and bells & whistles, but I really like how it’s straight up with practicing letter names and sounds! The purpose of ABCMAGICPHONICS isn’t lost! Thanks!
ABCMAGICPHONICS is awesome for children who are learning their alphabet. It has three choices that you can use when looking at the letters. You can use one picture to go with the letter, four pictures to go with the letter or do letter and picture matching. It also tells you the sound that each letter makes with the short vowel sounds. ABCMAGICPHONICS is awesome!

I just found ABCMAGICPHONICS and I’m going through it to see what it offers before I get my 5yr old on it, and omg, I am very glad with it so far. The best one yet without having to pay for now. The only thing is a few of the sounds are really low, but nothing to cause me to want to delete. Thank you for making this👍
My son is learning a lot more words!! Great app so far👍🏼
Have to go with OK on this one

Went with the early reviews on ABCMAGICPHONICS and I'm not completely sold on the greatness. This is presented in the utility and use of lower case letters... which is rare. Most are presented as upper-case learning systems. While the lower-case letter is stressed by soundung out (numerous times) and an example is provided... ABCMAGICPHONICS never says what letter is actually presented. For example; while it does say; "f...f...f...f... fish", it never says; "The letter F, f...f...f...f... fish".
Pretty good

I am a first grade teacher and I thought this was a good ap. Especially for struggling students or preschoolers. As for the previous review about fox for x... You don't hear the / x / sound at the beginning of any words in English. It only is heard at the end of a word or syllable.

This is a great app. For once we see a product get the educational concept of the alphabet and letter recognition RIGHT! Most presentations of the alphabet use capital letters and teach children the name of the letters. WRONG! Reading involves almost all lower case letters and in the process of learning to read and reading itself we never say the name of the letter. It is the sound that is important. ABCMAGICPHONICS presents the alphabet in the exact way that early learners need in order to learn it. It leads naturally to the next step of putting the sounds together to form words and eventually to reading.
The use of children's voices for the sounds of the letters and to pronounce the words provides meaningful models for young children who work with ABCMAGICPHONICS. Hearing other children pronouncing the words and making the sound will be a great encouragement for them to do it themselves.
All this and it is free. This is a great app that is sure to engage children and encourage them to want to read. Don't be fooled by it's simplicity. It is exactly what a young learners need - one concept presented well without any distractions from the intended objective.
