    Unusable iPhone App

    Ever since the upgrade last week this app will not sign in or open at all. Talked to live chat they said it would be fixed Monday and there was an update today. I updated and it still won’t work. My iPad Pro had the update and it works again but the iPhone app does nothing but sit there with a green circle going round and round and round. Please fix this so I can use it with my premium service I pay for each month. Was given a beta app and it worked for a few days then I was unable to scroll to see all the columns. Was told there was a new full release downloaded and it’s the same version and is not useable. I love this service but they have a bad app developer.

    Basically unusable

    The app will crash on you maybe 1/5 of the times you try to open it. It will say it’s sent a message and then will refresh or you’ll go back to a customer and see it was never sent. You’ll miss notifications every so often. Can’t see past conversations a visitor has had. Being able to clear chats from the current queue is hard to do because the ‘close swipe’ won’t stay on screen- I usually have to restart the app to get it to refresh instead. I can’t use this without have a desktop browser open within walking distance and even then I’m resigned to it messing up.

    Misleading for sure

    I never write reviews, and I never try to be a “Negative Nancy” because I couldn’t develop an app if there was a book titled “How To Create an App” in front of me. I signed up on the website when I saw the 24/7 support chat option. Upon signing up, the website first said that I had to download the app to be able to receive support, so that’s what I did unconditionally. Once the app finally downloaded, I opened it and selected the chat feature and “Log in to LiveChat on your computer to complete the set up” pops up. It is just a little inconvenient for people who simply do not own or have access to a computer. It also sounds funny to be running (or trying to run) a business strictly off of your smartphone, it’s just more convenient for me and I have tools here also that work just as efficiently. Come on LiveChat!

    Ok

    While the chat platform itself is beautifuly designed and elegant, it is pricy, and the app is just ugly computer to the actual chat platform and feels unfinished and lacking functions like search, archive, overview...

    Crashes Daily

    Really like the ease but I Use this for business and so unprofessional when you can’t respond to clients because it freezes. Please fix and credit my account for the lost revenue I just experienced. Literally client says “great, do you have availability this morning then freezes!!! If this continues we will have to look elsewhere. Again I do appreciate the ease of use but what good is that if it crashes.

    Horrible app. Do not install.

    This app is horrible and will make you miss sales from not being able to respond to chats because 1) it takes the app 5+ minutes to send the notification of a message 2) when you do click the notification, it deletes the chat and isn’t visible. Fix this and I’ll update my review, but this app is the worse app I’ve ever had, and this would be my first review on any app, that’s how AWFUL it is

    Works ok

    The app on my phone works ok but desktop version is better because you can use product cards. I wish product cards were available on the phone app. I haven’t had any issues with the phone app and I am please with it.

    Needs updated

    Doesn’t support iPhone X, no control of what you get push notifications for, and seems really buggy. The Mac app works great. I’d love to stick with LiveChat, but without a good working mobile app I may need to switch over to Drift or some other similar option. I’ll give this another month or two. Hopefully they have an update in the works.

    Absolutely awful app

    There are so many things wrong with this app. It's freezes constantly. Logs you back in when you log out. Will show your message has gone through but when you go on the pc your message didn't actually send. Client will send a message and it takes minutes to come through. Can't tag chats through the app. This app is virtually useless.

    Go back to the old version

    We have had the toughest time the past couple of months with this app. It used to be great, now it has ALL kinds of bugs. It is almost unusable now and our business is going to strongly consider finding another service unless the bugs are fixed soon.

    Keep looking. LiveChat keeps getting worse, not better

    We’ve been using this app since version 1, which was MUCH better. Version 2 was terrible and so s version 3. Now they are about to launch a new Help Desk app for better ticket/email support features, instead of improving the ticket/email features in the LiveChat app. And Help Desk will be an additional cost, of course. Shame on you LiveChat!

    This company enjoys causing pain to users

    This company is likely ran by masochists. After you install it, the default is to get a notification every single time a visitor comes to your site. To be clear - when someone comes to the site NOT when someone writes a message in the chat window. Oh and you know the dumbest thing on planet earth? The app doesn’t allow you to change your notifications. You have to go online search for it then find a place hidden by the stupid designers at the company in the most random place before getting rid of this nuisance. This company is everything that’s wrong in mobile app development.

    This app has been great , Ive experience no issues of one of these posters said. Ive always received my messages and have never experiance so freezing or not sending

    What happened???

    I never had issues with this app until I got my iPhone XR and now it’s truly terrible. Error messages all the time and even not sending chat responses. Really bad look. I hope they fix this soon because there’s too many competitors to put up with this much longer.

    Terrible app that makes you lose money !

    Most users who use this app is for a business purpose, possibly pre-sales or customer service. This app won’t send you notifications or it crashes when a new char is initiated. We lose so many sales opportunities, and that’s really $$$ loss!!
