Why do I have to purchase highlighters every time I get a new phone? It's ridiculous.

So TheScriptures was showing for free but when I went to install it, it ended up charging me $24 Iβm annoyed that it didnβt show that before installing

I used TheScriptures a few years ago and loved many things about it. I started using the LDS Library more, but kept TheScriptures because I had entered many notes and highlights that I wanted to keep. Today I tried to look at my notes and I do not see them. I hardly recognize TheScriptures . Have I lost everything I put in? I cannot find customer support for TheScriptures either? Has anyone else lost notes and highlights?

After downloading and then pushing on the icon, TheScriptures does not open. My device is an iPhone SE (2020).

TheScriptures needs to be updated to be compatible with iOS 11. App will not open now.

App freezes up when trying to use highlighter. Do not pay fir the highlighter feature.

I was hoping this included audio recordings. Sadly, it doesn't seem to be the case.

I purchased the 'other' scriptures app, so I thought I'd download this and give it a shot. The best part is, of course, that it's free. But I've noticed a few things: the text is a touch on the small side, and it doesn't fill the screen (there is white space on either side). It also doesn't remember where you were when you close TheScriptures and open it back up. That's a big downside for me, as I lose my place when coming back to it (the other app remember and re-opens the chapter you were on--though it doesn't take you to the actual verse). This one also ONLY has the standard works...no hymns, conference talks, eq/rs manual, etc.
All that said, this is free, and it's a great start. Give it a couple updates and I think this could definitely stack up against the other scriptures app.

I love being able to read the scriptures in two languages at the same time but would like to be able to highlight in both languages. I would also like to be able to set a language other than English or Spanish as my default language. Would rate higher if I could do these things.

Can you add Samoan to the Languages? I been using TheScriptures for 3 years now, and I havenβt seen any additions or updates since.

I would rate higher once the Portuguese is updated with the new bible translation that was done by the church. It is an awesome app because of the language mixer.

Good app, however I am disapointed in that the highlighters do not work correctly. The audio has also disappeared.

Recently, when I try to listen on audio, the play/pause bar comes up, but it won't play the audio. Please fix!!

I always loose my place if I skip to another scripture. Please add the ability to bookmark.

I really like how TheScriptures works. I was hoping to use it in Italian when I bought it however. Should have checked first, however I am enjoying studying in the other languages as well.

I use the highlighters a lot the colors youβve provided need to be changed or give the user a way to change the color. Problem is with the words being printed in black and all the dark colors youβre giving for other options you canβt read the verses. This is most annoying especially when you have other options for the users.

There is a typo in Moroni 3:3. Look it over with a paper Book of Mormon and TheScriptures version. Just a couple grammar typos.
There is another typo in 1 Samuel 12:21. β...goafter...β

I have used the Scriptures app for years and really like it. I find it faster and easier to look up books and verses than other apps.
For the new dual language feature, how about adding one of the modern English Bible translations as an option? I'd use that a lot and expect others would, too.

Generally a great app. And now allows searching with quote marks for an exact phrase.
But it does not yet allow searching for a word preceded by a space. So, if you search for ONE, it retrieves occurrences of one, but also occurrences of done, none, stone, etc. I wish the developers would improve this.
I also wish it presented the search results by highlighting the term searched, not the whole verse where the word is located.
