I downloaded ShroomID and used it once last year, I haven’t opened it up until today because I saw an email receipt for their Pro subscription. I checked my profile and the Pro wasn’t signed up or activated, offering me a free trial period. I checked the purchase history and there were no purchases found. I reported you to iTunes, deleted my profile and ShroomID .

I love ShroomID , which says something cause I never rate apps. The only criticism is the premium is to expensive for subscription. Also I think you should add a 1 time buy.

It’s mostly accurate with proper pictures but mostly for easily identifiable species, And even then sometimes it’ll spit something that makes no sense like clearly what’s growing in my front yard isn’t from South America or sm like that or just looks nothing like it. But I really like the community post if your in good groups you get direct feedback from ppl who typically study mushrooms as much as me or more.

ShroomID works reasonable well and I like its suggestions and UI. However the updates log you out and prompt for surveys to use ShroomID . Those surveys are useless for just wanting to identify a mushroom and is really annoying when I’m trying to use ShroomID in the woods and have to stand there waiting until it does some customization? like why can’t I just use ShroomID ?

It’s a good app, user friendly
Would’ve been an awesome app imo if it were a one time purchase and not restricted by a subscription based paywall.
Still gets 4 stars for being an app that I enjoy using.

Have used ShroomID several times with different fungi/mushrooms. In most all instances, the identification was very close. Posting to the group is also helpful with identifying.

I'm having so much fun identifying mushrooms with ShroomID! It's also great for researching mushrooms - the heatmap is amazing, showing where and when mushrooms are found, and it's great to be able to see what is in season here and now, and also throughout the year across the world. It's quick, and as long as my picture has been up to standards, the IDs have been on point. The links to additional information are very easy to use and helpful. Again - awesome app! Thanks!

This is the best, most immersive, most accurate, well thought out and implemented mushroom app I’ve ever used!

I sprang for the 10 dollar per year pro subscription because I wanted access to the audio mushroom pronunciations, I don’t think any other app has this! It’s well worth it! The woman who does the pronunciations makes you want to listen to every single one of them…erm…for science.

I love ShroomID. Two of my favorite things are being able to upload photos to help identify mushrooms. Lookalikes are provide to help rule out possible identifications. Second, being able to see what’s growing in my area is amazing. This has helped me so much more than any books. I would totally recommend ShroomID to anyone interested in fungi!

I like it bc of the community of people on here been using ShroomID for I think about 2 months and it’s really taught me a lot you still should always do more research ShroomID is great and pretty accurate but just like the warnings on it the accuracy isn’t 100% so it’s still good to go through all the test on identifying mushrooms but still a great app to use

I have the pro version and love using it. I think it has good information and the interface is not difficult to use. I’m sure like any app, it will continue to get better and grow with information as more people use it and contribute! Can’t wait to see what will happen with future updates!

I moved from Michigan to Foley, Alabama in 2005. I recently started hunting mushrooms around here and thanks to the shroom id app I have identified over a dozen edible mushrooms including gourmet and medicinal mushrooms as well as dozens of others. Absolutely awesome. The better your photos the better your id results. Thank you and happy hunting😁

Great tool for getting a baseline of predictions. Also a good study tool using the shroomtrainer quiz. Many predictions are correct, but as always use more than one guide!

ShroomID works. Sometimes a bit of a challenge getting the “perfect” picture for identification. Mainly due to grasses getting in the way. Other than the picture taking learning curve, ShroomID works 100%. Would highly recommend!

I have been using Shroon ID for the last couple of years and it seems to get better and better every time I use it. I’m in the out of doors a great deal and it’s nice to have ShroomID in my back pocket!. It’s like having a knowledgeable companion everywhere I go.

This is far and away the best app I’ve come across for mushroom/mycology enthusiasts.

The user interface is beautiful and super smooth and the heat map function gives you a good idea of what to look for in the area.

Most importantly the IDs are lightning fast and accurate, and give you more all the info you could ever need on species/genus/family, seasonality, commons names and beyond.

The new offline mode takes it to the next level, being able to run IDs in areas with low/no cell service is a godsend 👍🏼👍🏼

I found ShroomID by accident and I couldn’t be happier. Thus far the results I am getting have been very accurate and it’s nice to be able to consult more knowledgeable persons about questionable finds. I highly recommend the pro version of ShroomID if you are a serious enthusiast.

Love ShroomID! also l know what I can find where because of the heat maps. Love that I can use it without internet since some hikes are in the middle of nowhere. SO excited to use this app even more when foraging picks up come spring !

This is a really well thought out app. I love the graphics and it is very user friendly. It’s a great tool to use when in need of a mushroom ID. Can’t wait to use this more as the weather gets warmer and I can go on more adventures. Keep up the good work!
