Nextscan Reviews

Nextscan scans well and crops appropriately, but cannot actually upload the scans. Not usable.

Update for Developer with Nextscan ’s behavior:
1. Take a picture
2. ‘Edit Scan’ with the selector polygon
2a Hit “Next”
3. “Review” with working editing and color correction
3a Hit “Done”
4. “this app” showing all my scans, with the orange button to start a new scan
4a Hit the ‘paper airplane’ arrow to send the scans to the NextCloud server
5. “Upload” selecting a document name, upload location. The interaction for selecting the location works, eg I see the folders on my server and I can navigate through them
5a I hit the arrow to confirm the upload; the arrow’s animation plays; I don’t go to a new page, and the scan doesn’t upload.

5 and 5a happen for all my folders and any name I give. The credentials I’m using in this app on the NextCloud server have admin privileges and is the account authorizing the NextCloud app on the same iphone.

I'm writing this here because I haven't found a way to reach the developer directly (I hope they see this)- I'm on iOS 14.0 and after scanning, pressing the "upload" button (looks like a paper airplane) doesn't do anything

No errors, no messages.

Am I missing something? I would love to get this working. Thanks!

Hi, it looks like there is no support documentation and the developer website doesn’t exist. Is Nextscan still supported? If so, can you help me log in?
I have Nextcloud working on my home server but the login screen doesn’t recognize my url, username, and/or password. Any help would be appreciated.

I was amazed at how well Nextscan worked. I have already used it for all my receipts and kids remote school documents I don’t want in Google’s world and then simple send the links to the teacher. I want to be able to pay for Nextscan to not have to see ads though, would be well worth it! Just love how it auto detects the document for scanning too!!!

Works great for me. If you are having an issue logging in, if you use two factor authentication, be sure to login to Nextcloud in your browser, go to settings and make an “app password”.

This is such a useful app!

Works really well and is super useful.
It’s a gongs like this that make de-googling my life much easier!
