NoRecibo: Receipts & Budgeting Reviews

This looked easy and perfect for my needs. I could edit my receipts and focus on specific categories and their amounts during the editing process.

I’m disabled and I need to track medical expenses to submit annually for different programs, so itemizing line items is very important and why I am attracted to your app. Sometimes one receipt will have 2 or more categories on it. I’m trying to figure out how to extract* every thing in one category for different 12 month periods. Am I just missing something obvious? (Hey, I did miss where the decimal point was located for awhile…maybe that should be marked like a key is there…instead of looking like a speck of dirt on the screen, LOL)

*extract could be email, print, convert to PDF, etc. but needs to have receipt photo included.

Having a 10 key layout (instead of a phone key board) like a calculator or adding machine would make itemizing smooth and fast.

Also I have noticed your app doesn’t rotate on the screen. This causes 2 inconveniences. First, when working in NoRecibo while the device is charging, you can’t rest it in your lap unless it’s upside down. Second, on a tablet, you can’t turn it sideways and split the screen with another app.

I think y’all have the bones of a terrific app. I like that I see y’all responding to reviews. I’m very much looking forward to seeing where No Recibo is headed.

I just started using this, but the one thing I can see that will stop me from going forward is the category part. Something like that should always let you add custom categories. There’s a ton of things we spend money on and may want to categorize them in a way that makes sense to us for the pie charts. For example the first receipt I added was educational and that’s not in the pre made categories.. but it’s free, so hard to complain.

Allows me to customize all my receipts. Accountability is very important when trying to stay on a budget. With NoRecibo, you can scan EVERY receipt and file accordingly. Love. Love. Love!! Add to all these features that its free and you have an amazing app!

Update- still love NoRecibo. I wish there was a place for you to put the amount you hope to spend and then the actual in the spread wheel. If anyone knows a work around, please let me know.

I was tired of keeping my credit card receipts in a box, then pulling them out every month to reconcile. Most of the apps I looked at were too complicated or just tried to do too much. this app did just what I wanted and the UX was good. I also liked the fact that you could just buy it outright and there is no subscription. The only thing I requested they add was a way to add the total of receipts within a certain time span. The developer got right back with me and said they would add that feature. Looking forward to that being added. Overall, glad I found NoRecibo!

The latest updates now make it very cumbersome to scan receipts. You now have to click into expenses, and then click the plus button, and finally click on the scan receipt button. This wouldn’t be so bad, but you have to click the plus button , and click the scan receipt button FOR EVERY RECEIPT SCAN! The old way you could repeatedly scan additional receipts with a single click for each receipt. I guess it’s back to NoRecibo Store for an receipt app that is smoother at recording them.

I hardly ever rate an app but I have tried 50+ apps to scan and organize receipts so I can pull them later to compare to my statements as well as check off my budget. This one works. It scans well, captures the info well and organizes it well. There is almost nothing to setup. No app can read all of my crumbled up receipts but this one is the best. It saves me a great deal of time. It just works

So far it’s great!! I just downloaded NoRecibo . In 30 minutes scanned 50 receipts!! Much faster than entering it in my budget manager on my desktop. I love that I can see a running expense total, as well as by categories, and it includes credit card info etc. As a business owner this is amazing!! It’s intuitive, easy to use, and functional. A well thought out app!! Thank you!!! 😀

I’ve tried quite a few. They were all less filters, much more difficult to learn. This is point, click and then you filter by either date, type of purchase or store name. You have an edit feature to add or tweak info. It also shows monthly expenditures. Great for taxes!

Ok, let’s go I started @ 7pm trying to find a app that could store my receipts. 12 apps later I finally found one. I had to download 11 apps to find this one gem. I didn’t file my taxes from 2018, so finding a app that could automatically install my receipt info was a must with over 100 receipts. Other apps claim are false. I highly recommend this app

The OCR support in NoRecibo is something to marvel about. NoRecibo was able to accurately save the information from a smudged receipt. I love it!!!! Thanks to the entire development team for making this happen and please keep up the good work.

It would be nice to be able to enter and edit many of the repeat merchants on a laptop instead of only on a cell phone. Difficult and time consuming. Even if there was a charge for the service, I think you’d pick up a few more customers. I’ll try this for awhile and see. There IS competition out there.

Better than 90% of other apps I’ve tried by feature. Two quibbles; 1. It can’t seem to recognize dates in mixed text and numerical format. 2. Terrible at complex receipts like Safeway, almost always gets the wrong total value.

This is a great app to scan receipts on my phone. Don’t have to worry about saving paper receipts or looking through emails. It categorizes my expenses, which is very helpful with budgeting too. Overall, great app, with an elegant, simple, easy to use UI, and very useful and practical features!

I forwarded my emailed receipts. When clicked on the expense icon and edited the category it would let me save it, but would not go back to the original screen. When I tried to back it of the screen to return to the other receipts it won’t leave the page it’s on. The only option is to delete the entire receipt and that is certainly not what I want. Unless there is a fix it makes NoRecibo useless to me.

Started using NoRecibo for my day to day shopping, it’s helping me track my expenses based on categories and quite a few other cool features. Loving it!

I started using NoRecibo for my small business, I can now easily find my receipts when I need to return items at the store. It would be a great asset during tax time.

Does the job to scan receipt beautifully . No longer need to keep receipt cluttered at home

Does what it says it does!!!! Easy to use and customizable. Only ? Is “Age 4+”. I didn’t know young children have a need to track receipts. lol

NoRecibo does quite well at scanning, even the gas dispenser and recording the result. Would be nice though if there was a field for tips at restaurants or a way to scan the tip recite portion to transactions classified as restaurants.

I use NoRecibo for my small business to track all my receipts. This is very simple to use.

I’m amazed at this little app, especially as it is free to use. I’ve tried a number of receipt tracking apps, including ones that require you to pay. I don’t mind paying as long as I feel my data is not being used to track me. This is the only one that does not link your data to your identity. I’ve read through their privacy policy and they clearly state that they will use aggregate data but will not use personal data. While I don’t like any of my data being out there, this one is the best at separating me from the data they collect, at least as far as what they say they do vs. what other apps state. What I find really impressive is how accurate the data capture is. You can scan or import a photo of a receipt and this pulls out the important information that I want, namely store, general category and the amount spent. Most the stores I shop at have their own icon so they are easy to see in the list. This is a nice feature for national chains, but they even have one for a local regional store. I haven’t seen a way to submit a request for a local store but there was another regional chain that did not have an icon which later suddenly did. I don’t know if the developers are watching what you import and then update their database or if it was simply a delay in accessing the database. It was still nice to see.

The other nice feature about this is you can sort the list by store, by the date you enter the receipt, or by the date of the purchase. This I found really helpful if I’m trying to find a particular receipt for a particular store. They allow you some editing so you can correct any mistakes the computer makes in extracting the data. This is handy for some damaged receipts or just ones that are new to the AI. It seems as if when I make the correction later receipts are then recognized better.

This is a really great app. I usually take photos of my receipts and then throw away the paper. When I go to make a return I simply show an image of the receipt. This allows me to find the receipt faster and the image that is captured for the entry is just as good as what’s in my camera roll, so I have no problem scanning that receipt image for a return. Overall this is super easy to use and is just what I’ve been looking for. I highly recommend NoRecibo.
