It’s... ok.

Though being a obvious rip-off of “Getting over it with Bennett Foddy”, I think the game can have more credit than that, with the ability to create avatars, micro transactions being relatively cheap if you are into that, and you being able to jump in and play whenever, it still has some problems. The biggest are the controls and physics. The controls are bad but make sense, as a touchscreen can only do so much for a game that is made for a mouse, but the physics need a tweak. Often they end up to bouncy, and it makes for some frustrating gameplay. I’ll often fling myself up to a ledge and grab on, but my character slowly starts bouncing up and down, making him inch down to eventually fall.
Overall, a fine game, just a ripoff and needs slight tweaking to really make it fun.

This game is great but some stuff needs to be fixed

I love this game because i can’t afford to get Getting Over It with bennet foddy but... i would love it if you fix the physics! The physics feel too bouncy because when I carefully try to go up a ledge my character bounces and i fall off the level! Also i would love a new control scheme that you can switch to! The control scheme i would like is one that follows your finger. Like if you put your finger above your characters head his hammer would go there. Well in all this game is amazing for those that don’t want to pay money for the real one and its fun making levels so it feels like a perfect game!

Would Better Premium

I absolutely deplore video games that are supported by the disease known as in-app purchases (aka- micro-transactions).

If this was sold for a one-time price with no stupid in-app purchases, well, I would gladly pay the price for that. I do enjoy the game the actually. But, I refuse to pay for the game every time I friggin' open it, via valueless in-app purchases.

Developers always say in-app purchases are optional in their games. Yeah, the fun to be had in the game is also optional if you're not constantly wasting and throwing away your hard earned money on micro-transactions. I mean, anyone with the slightest intelligence can tell that IAP-supported games are rigged so that you get fed up with the "free" stuff enough to make a bunch of in-app purchases so you can actually find enjoyment in the game.

I'm all for paying developers for their hard work and time put into a game. But only if that game is sold as premium and for a reasonable, one-time, upfront price. Because i just refuse to fall for these in-app purchase con-jobs by throwing away my money every time I play the game on some stupid currency or other valueless in-game item.

Ideas

I have put a decent amount of time, and I have 2 ideas for it.
First, you guys should add the option to search for clans. I have over 1000 trophies, and around 300 ribbons, but the only clans available are ones with 15 people, and 1000 trophies total (and that’s the best one I found)
Second, you should add the option to put a trophy minimum on your clans. I made one, and I got 2 people after a week, by both had less than 50 trophy’s.
Besides this, I would recommend getting the game if you don’t want the mobile version of bennate foddy.

It’s great, but I have an idea for the devs

So hopefully the devs read these reviews and care about them. I’m having a lot of fun with this game, and I love the community driven aspect of it. The issue is, when you upload a level, you’re not able to see any player level completion information. I think it would be really cool if you could see the records (maybe even watch the runs?), and if you could see the percentage of players that beat your level vs skip or exit. Just some ideas I thought I’d share :)

Music sounds and physics

Okay I’ll be honest this game is really good compared to my expectations to be a rip off of getting over it. It’s really fun and a great game but two thing mainly music. I don’t really like the music at all and when I went to turn it off I noticed you can’t which I found to be really annoying and the physics are a little bouncy which could be really annoying for slow movements and one more thing. THE SOUND IS THE SAME FOR HITTING METAL TO THE TREE I’ve never herd of a metal tree so change the sounds it’s also really annoying but other then that the game is overall pretty fun

Pretty Good 👌

Honestly I think game is okay, the controls are a little bit bouncy, and adds an additional layer of difficulty, which I like. If you could implement sample levels that you progress through (like an adventure mode) that'd be nice, as wifi wouldn't be necessary, and you could play on the go. Anyway, keep up the great work, I look forward to seeing another update soon.

Terrible, Half-Assed Ripoff of an Actually Good Game

"Getting Over It" is a good game. It's physics are superb, the graphics of the geography look very good, and the narration really immerses you. The game is very impressive, especially when you consider that it's just a mobile port. It's a fun, challenging, and original game. This excuse for a game is quite the opposite. As I was playing it, it felt like this project was rushed and put together in a couple of hours. The physics in the game are horrendous, the graphics are too crude and simple to appeal to anyone, and the overall design and quality of the game is very off putting. If you want to experience the real "Getting Over It", just drop the five bucks it asks for. It's truly worth it. Don't waste your time with this garbage.

Best GOI clone

This is the best getting over it clone. And I’ll just get right into this. One of my favorite things is that the physics are different from getting over it, making it unique in a way. This makes for things like wall climbing, something I love in levels. One thing that NEEDS to happen in the future is level commenting. That way if someone makes a really good level, we can tell them about it. Overall, I really like this game. It takes a whole new meaning on the “endless games” genre.

Amazing game, but...

This game is simply stellar. It can provide hours of fun and is somewhat addictive, but it is noteworthy that is a blatant rip-off of Getting Over It with Bennet Foddy, which, to my knowledge, goes uncredited. Also, it isn’t as polished as I believe it should be, making for situations where you get stuck on a thin object or spawn in a level with your hammer inside a solid block. Aside from that, though, it’s user created levels and interesting style make it very enjoyable as a whole.

I Really Enjoy Playing This

I love how it’s a pixelated version of getting over. I also think the aspect of customizing your character and being able to create your own levels are really cool. The physics are a little buggy like how your hammy tends to bounce of ledges but that’s easy to get by with some practice...

Overall it’s a great game!!
Ps. I created my first level called Crystals Cave, I worked on it for a long time and is pretty good if I do say so myself :) Code:Zezup369

Minor changes are needed

As this game heavily depends on the control of your character, it ends up proving to be quite difficult to possess this ability. The game itself is great. The concept is great and shows signs of being a nice twist to Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy. The controls, however, have gotten considerably worse. There is no option to change the size of the area in which you move your hammer in. On iPads the area is too large to propel yourself with enough power. No complaints about the bounciness/physics because that depends on the game creator’s intent.

I'm sure you've heard this before, but...

This game is a total rip of the game "Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy." It's as if they ran out of game ideas, so they just sat until a popular game was released. And not only is it a rip, but they didn't even rip it right. Getting over it is the definition of "controlled chaos," while this is just chaos. The addition of player created levels takes the "controlled" out, while leaving the chaos behind. And, of course the biggest issue here being the awful physics. The player is far too bouncy, it's as if instead of a sledgehammer, he's using a pogo stick.

Mrlogicman

So one of my builds were on the video for the game, beside that great game and I thought it wouldn’t be that great but it is so amazing and there is a range of things to do on ClimbyHammer , when you get skilled enough you could have so many possibilities from building all the way to speed running the maps that other people make.

Awesome

First thing's first, I love getting over it, which I also own. This clone game may have the same concept and similar gameplay, but this game has 10x more content than getting over it. When it comes to replayability, features like user generated maps, clan war tournaments, and global leaderboards set this game apart from it's predecessor and makes it an objectively better game.

The game is pretty fun. It's almost perfect but...

...you might want to let players create their own obstacles as the obstacles in this game do get old pretty quickly. Otherwise, it's a pretty good game. I really wish there were more games of this kind. The only games like this as of now (that are actually good) seem to be Sexy Hiking, Getting Over It, and this. Sorry if there's another one that I excluded.

Customization

I should be able to change my hair, skin, etc and not just my face. I also wanna en able to host a game
When hosting you can see other players
And turn pvp on and off
If off other players are transparent
If on you can push and hit other players

Good Game!

This game is great for mobile! It just has good blocky graphics. Its fun as you can decorate, and create! This game keeps me up doing this and trying other things! Haha, It gets me frustrated sometimes when i try a very hard one. But otherwise, You should absolutely get this game!

Hold on before you call this a rip-off

To all you people saying that this game is a rip-off of Getting Over It with Bennet Foddy, you should know that Getting Over It with Bennet Foddy was indeed a rip-off of a game called Sexy Hiking. This is a great game that uses the potential of level creation and unique (ish) controls, combined with a handy price of $0.00 and minimal ads.

Not Good

It has a good concept, although after reading reviews, I see this game is apparently a rip-off of a game called Getting Over It? Besides that, the controls are blatantly hard to use and the physics are horrible. The level editor is cool, but you only get a max of 6 levels before you have to delete some you already made to make room for more. I was at about a 2.5/5, but after seeing how this is a rip-off and there's no dev. responses, I can't give anything more than a 2
