Major glitches with Coronavirus

For over 14 hrs I have tried to connect, through both my iPad and my iPhone. Each time I’m about to see a doctor HorizonCareOnline crashes, the doctor cancels after I’ve connected, or there’s some other type of glitch. Each time I have had to re-enter all of my info too. Do not waste your time. I understand there’s high volume, but HorizonCareOnline is majorly flawed. Two thumbs down and less than 1 star.

After waiting in line for at least 15 minutes, the doctor, Ronald Stratton, who was very nice, said we were in the wrong area (urgent care) and said there would be no charge. There wasn’t a place to choose between urgent and non-urgent when selecting a doctor. When I called Horizon customer service to question this, they weren’t even familiar with the right app I should be using. They directed me to a website. When I called Horizon back another representative said that, in fact, we were using the correct app, and he wasn’t sure why the doctor would say that we were in the wrong area.

We went back in HorizonCareOnline and selected a different doctor, Candace Zubricky. The doctor said she was unable to help my husband, who is homebound due to medical reasons. She told him that he needs to go and see his primary care physician. She didn’t charge us.

I thought this service would be a tremendous help to my husband, but disappointingly, it was not.

Good luck trying to get a sick note for your child or if your rx needs to be changed or if you have ANY questions after your appointment with the dr. No one will know how to help you. Try calling or emailing and they won’t help you. You’ll have to make another appointment with the dr and get charged again for literally talking with him for 5 seconds. My insurance covered HorizonCareOnline a few times then stopped and no one knows why....shocker. OH and be prepared to wait for up to an hour to actually talk to the dr. They’ll ask you if you have any questions while you are waiting so long so you’ll ask and they won’t respond!!! Make sure your phone is plugged in or has 100% battery....

Great concept. Worked perfectly for me. Saw a doctor, got a script, never left my home. Things are looking bright for healthcare. Only reason for 4 stars is HorizonCareOnline crashes 4 times before I successfully connected to a doctor. Hopefully I don’t get charged...

HorizonCareOnline was perfect when I didn’t have time to get to an urgent care or my primary doctor for a minor issue. Setup was quick and easy and I waited about 5 minutes to speak to a doctor, who was friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. He prescribed eye drops right over HorizonCareOnline and solved the issue in less time than it would’ve taken me to drive to the doctor’s office. Highly recommended, will use again.

Love the convenience

I work 50 to 60 hrs a week (restaurant business) with a LONG commute and I don’t always have the time to go to my primary physician’s office. I typically use HorizonCareOnline and it’s a Godsend! Saves me time from the travel to a clinic/my physician, to the pharmacy and then back to work/home; that can take ~2 hours and when you’re sick, that’s the last thing you want to do.

I just finished my first experience using the Careonline app. This was a great way to address a medical concern I’ve been having. Not a emergency but a issue that I contemplated seeing my primary for. But I discovered this feature as a part of my insurance coverage with out a co pay and decided to take advantage of it. After a reasonable wait in the “waiting room” the doctor was very pleasant, informative & useful to help me navigate what I’m dealing with. I’m appreciative for this.

This service is phenomenal! So much easier to see the doctor via video chat than having to try to make an appointment or show up and wait in person. I’ve used this multiple times, it’s becoming my new pcp! The best part of all is not having to sit in a waiting room full of sick people and their germs. This is my go to when we need medical care or a quick diagnosis.

this service is awesome. Between setting up HorizonCareOnline , answering questions about the reason for my visit and the actual visit itself, I was done within 40 mins. I get a sinus infection every uear and I know the drill. My online doctor asked the same questions and prescribed anti biotics. this saved so much time and I was able to do this before work! I recommend this highly

Do not switch between apps once the call established

It's a bit annoying because I wanted to quickly find for the doctor, the American version of the name of an allergy I have on the internet. And once I've switched to my browser and returned in less than 20 seconds, my video session was canceled, and I needed to schedule another appointment.

For small non- emergency room type things this is a life saver. Ended up only costing me $15 for apt that got done in less than 20 minutes and got the info a prescription sent to nearby pharmacy. Would not use for large ER things but for small stuff this is so much better than paying normal large copays or waiting all day for doc apt.

I am so pleased with the technology and the professionalism and quality of care! Of course it's not for every situation, but in this case I just needed an order for physical therapy. The doc was friendly, personable, and of course knew his stuff, including administration topics such as what can and can't be prescribed over telemedicine, how insurance reimburses, etc. Keeping HorizonCareOnline !

Using HorizonCareOnline for a physician visit versus the urgent care is a huge time saver! Instructions are easy, and the wait was just a few minutes to see a physician. I highly recommend using HorizonCareOnline for visits that do not require an in-person evaluation.

Wonderful experience! We are in Vermont skiing, and my husband got sick! He felt terrible and he used the online doctor! Diagnosed with a sinus infection. Doc sent a prescription to local pharmacy. We will definitely utilize this service again!

It was so much simpler to leave me sick child laying in his bed while he visited with the doctor. No mother wants to bring a sick kiddo into urgent care, feeling miserable for the car ride, to wait in a lobby full of equally sick and miserable people. Thank you for HorizonCareOnline!
