As a cat lover and Mario fan, I couldn’t find the perfect game. There were a bunch of rip-offs of Mario that were glitchy or to basic. So when I came across this game I said, “Oh great. ANOTHER Mario copy cat. Wait is that a cat!? I’ll give it a try. Now, I’m only on the second world and the story is pretty basic, but it’s so fuuuuuun! The first cat looks exactly like my kitty🥰🥰🥰 and cats vs. monkeys!? I hate monkeys so I can finally have my favorite animal kicking there butts. However the bells are a bit to hard but that’s ok! I love challenges so I’m glad to see some difficulty in a game. And this game obviously takes inspiration from Mario. Not just taking the whole game and adding extra graphics and textures or just smearing the entire thing in ugly, hideous jumbled up mess of ripoff products. It adds its own gimmicks from a game we never seen before. Nintendo please don’t shut this game down. WE KNOW U. So far this is my favorite mobile game. OF ALL TIME. After this I’m trying the sequel.

Just to get this out of the way: 1) It's probably an issue on my end. 2) I DO NOT IN ANY WAY HATE THIS GAME. I love this game to pieces and would love to get a threequel. Now, on with the review.
Gameplay is amazing, mechanics and graphics are so nostalgic yet fluid. Until you get to the very last level. I might still be a noob at the game, but that last bossfight on 6-8 is THE MOST DIFFICULT. Probably because it's the final boss but eh.. Anyway, practically IMPOSSIBLE to play without a Golden Cat token. I have this thing where I have to ask my internet authorizer before I can make ANY purchases. Cue the acceptance of a $0.99 purchase, and the game freezes. Unable to proceed in the level (or even exit the "Tap to play as a Golden Cat" screen), I restart the game. Enter the level, and.. No Golden Cat. Again, this could be something wrong on my end, maybe the game needs instant payment for the powerup to work, I don't know. But what I do know is that I tried hitting "Restore Purchases" over five times. Still no token or Golden Cat. I hate to rate my favorite game anything under five stars; but alas, it could've gotten better had it actually been compatible with delayed payment for powerups.

I was scrolling through SuperCatTales Store on my new phone, and came across this game. I had a throwback to when I used to LOVE this game (on my old iPod touch) and knew that I had to download it back instantly. But then, when I tried to play it, I couldn’t because there hasn’t been an update released for newer phones. The screen is cropped and only shows about half of the game. So basically, the game doesn’t fit the screen. I can’t reach any buttons. ALSO, the music doesn’t play, which is odd...

Please update SuperCatTales so it’s compatible with newer phones!! I fell in love with this game and would like to again.

This game is so fun! I love the retro style and music. There are tons of levels, each getting more challenging as you go on. I have conquered every level. Could you possibly add more levels? And I don't know how to get the last 2 cats. Can you add 2 more worlds for the 2 missing cats?? I can't seem to figure it out. It's still super fun. Also, I was looking forward to a little scene when I finally finished the final boss. That would be the cherry on top.

If your are looking for an awesome and long-lasting game, then this is the one for you! I definitely recommend this game to everyone, no matter what age! Trust me, it's awesome. Thank you for reading my review. 😉

I wanted this SOOOOO bad, so I got it, because, I LOVE CATS!!!!!🐈🐱, and I loved it, until I ran out of lives. I wanted to refill them, so I watched an ad to do so. And there was no way to escape the ad! It just kept on going and going, and there was no X to exit! Please fix this, developers! And one time, I died, and when you were SUPPOSED to go to the home screen, it just went blackish-grayish, but the music kept on going! Besides those glitches, I think it is an AWESOME GAME!! I love cats, and I love Mario, and I love platformers, do this was perfect for me! Just, please fix those glitches, but then, people, you GOTTA download this game! It is so cute, it is an adventure game, it is a platformer, so if your like me and love cats, you should definitely get this game. This is an awesome, cute, adventure, platforming, and an cool game! Download this game now!

This game is sooo cute! I love it. The game's mechanics are smooth, but the enemies could be a little more challenging. To tweak the controls and the gameplay a little bit more, change the tapping sensitivity to a gauge bar, and add a jump button.

I love setting the character is in, although it is a little dangerously close to Super Mario Bros. Do not know if that is an acceptable asset for developing mobile game apps, but I think you need to consider having that not being the location for whole run through of the game.

It is your game, you developed it, and you can do whatever you want with it. My point is with that entire setting, is that if anyone browsed through SuperCatTales Store and they found this game, played it, but yet saw where cat is, they might think that this is a "rip-off" and a "copycat" to Super Mario Bros (or if possible, another game that is similar with those kinds of features).

Despite everything being said, I love your game. It is adorable and in conclusion with what everyone else said in the reviews (rather than wanting tweaks and requests here and there), they love it!

I am looking forward to more updates to the game and that you would continue further into taking care of this game. 5/5

This game was quite fun to play and creative enough. I played this game a lot but I have to admit, this game had me screaming “Are you kidding me” on multiple occasions. Once you make it far in the game it’s gets really difficult and frustrating. You also only have a certain number of lives and then you need to wait and that really bugged me. And, I don’t know if it was just for me, but when I tried to watch an ad. to refill my lives, that ad. never worked. It would give me an ad. that after it finished, it would play again. In all, I give this game 4 stars. It could have been a 5 but the difficulty in this game can’t get me to bring the rating any higher. I know some people like the intense games and sometimes I do too. But for this game, I wasn’t feeling it this time. For the most part, I did enjoy the game however!

My sister was looking for free games on SuperCatTales Store and stumbled upon this. She seemed to like it so she showed me and got me to download it from my phone. And I have to say I'm impressed! This is one of the best games I've seen. It has adorable pixel characters, detailed backgrounds, great fitting music, and the game plays and puzzles where brilliant! It was a really amazing game and I hope there is a part two in the future!

Two notes

1) The ending has no cut scene: After a long while of trial and error, I beat the final boss. As the victory screen blacked out, I was expecting some kind of cut scene like in the beginning, but nothing was there. Can you add a cutscene plz?

2) who are the two final cats?

One the character select page, there are 8 boxes for cats you can unlock. I was assuming they were some kind of special cats you get in the end or something, because they were not mentioned in the intro. But after beating every level with all bells collected, I still don't have them. If they aren't super secret and hidden in some level, can you add two more worlds for them? Maybe you could make a cat with a camouflage ability, or maybe a some kind of cat that can dig though sand? Maybe a desert area?

Let’s start with the positives; I LOVE IT! My fave cat is Kuro the miner cat, because THE LITTLE DANG CONSTRUCTION HELMET! Also, he’s a black cat, my fave type. It’s extremely fun and challenging. No doubt the hardest game I have ever played. That’s what makes it good! The helpers are pretty adorable too. The only problem though is the ads. Once I ran out of lives, and the game offered me a restock of lives if I watched an ad. So I did. The ad was finished, and it started to repeat, so I tried to find the x, but it was NOWHERE! The ad repeated 5 times, and no x showed up. I clicked on the ad accidentally, and it transported me to SuperCatTales Store. When I left, I thought it would be over. It froze. I was so dang mad. Please fix that. But anyway you put it, this is, no doubt, my favorite game on IOS!

My attention was caught (obviously) by the cat on the icon and 8 bit style. As I began playing the game, I was sort of confused as to how to use the functions but as I continued, it became apparent. There aren't many labels to describe the options and how to use the functions but it's a super fun game(which I think totally makes up for it, but still, help us with some support details already!).

There are "helpers" that have specialized elements for the different stages. Lemme tell you, get them COINS so you can buy those helpers! It's a life saver as the little frenemies in the game can do some damage to your life points.

Overall, I'm enjoying the interchangeable cats you can use in the same stage and find the music to be another added bonus to this 8 bit Mario style cat themed game!!! Download it now! 😸😸😸😸😸😸😸💖

Super Cat Tales is an extremely fun game with a great variety of Mario inspired levels, each with a fitting theme to them! It's jam packed with adorable and unique characters, stages, enemies, and bosses that seem really retro, and just so cute! You can even have cute tiny helpers on your side to aid you on your journey, which I think is pretty neat! Though, I must say that it could use some more stages like a mechanical or sky level to the game, just to name a few level design ideas. I was also thinking maybe a competition mode with online multiplayer if you might have wifi, or cute mini games you could do in the villages online or offline. But overall I must say, if you like games like Mario, Mega Man, or you just like cats in general, this game is for you!

This has GOT to be my favorite platformer game ever, and it's super cute at the same time. It is completely kid friendly, and mostly like a Mario style game. Instead of injuring your enemies, you need to avoid them. And if you touch them, they have a worried look on their face, and the disappear...😞
It really makes me feel sorry and bad for the enemies, because sometimes they actually run away from you or try to hide.
Overall, this game has great strategy, amazing balance between the characters to choose, and PERFECT GAMEPLAY!
The only thing I suggest for the future updates is that you guys should add more levels and cats! I would adore it and would be the best game on my phone. It would be PHENOMENAL to have at least 50 levels and then go up from there.

I find myself coming back each time just to be in awe of the cute pixel art! Now a days with the high quality effects and graphics it's nice to go back to where it all began! I grew up on mario, mega man, sonic, etc and this fits in just perfectly with a whole new reinvented twist, yet still simple enough to figure out! I love cats and this hit my love for them on so many levels! The various kitty "meows" grip my heart each time! Thank you so much for the creative play land and adorable heart quenching kitty art! The music just wraps everything up together into a perfect little gift with bow! 🎁 So much so, these little fellas will be found tattooed, scattered through out my body with paw prints connecting them with bells along the way 😸 "meow"

Initially, I was enjoying the game, and I gave it a 5, and I *am* in fact actually still enjoying it today. But within a few days, I’ve already beaten most of it (excluding the two secret cats and one achievement: Air Time.) Not that I’m saying it’s ‘legitimately bad’ or anything - in fact, I actually like playing and completing quick games like these. But being a ‘big’ game by the looks of things, I am a tiny bit disappointed by how quickly I’ve finished that particular one.

I love the way it demonstrates its unique platforming; the use of ledges as the only way to actually jump are actually a very cool mechanic, and the control system is, quote: ‘Oddly Satisfying’, being you ACTUALLY tap either side of the screen to move left or right, among double-tapping to run. Very cool.

The aesthetics - art, music, and sound *are* cute, not to mention awesome. In fact, thanks to them, they’ve actually brought back memories of similar devices with that cute, cool aesthetic; and I have nothing to say against them. (though if I had to *at all,* they *could* have a more ‘retro’ palette imo.)

Overall, very good game; will definitely play again in the future. thxcyabai

This game is simply amazing. It is super charming all the cats dapper and cute. Not only that, but it's definitely the best platforming game I've played on a mobile device. It gives games like Mario a run for its money. I was so mesmerized by how much the creator did with only two buttons. All the levels are fun and brilliantly designed. The introduction of puzzles made me even more hooked. On the other hand this game does have two major problems. First of all the game time is only about four or five hours with completing everything, and the life mechanic stunted the progression of the game and made me watch ads *shudder*. Overall this game has its problems, but is a must buy for anyone who wants a good platforming experience.

Mobile games are mostly all the same. But this game...is VERY unique. All of the other reviews say SuperCatTales is like Mario but it really isn't. It actually isn't at all. I don't exactly understand why people said it was, but whatever. Sure it's a side scroller, but that doesn't automatically make it like Mario 😂. The way you programmed the game so you could switch cats and certain spots of the level was brilliant because it actually makes you think a little more which is a great aspect in a game.

Another thing, this game is FREE. A game this good shouldn't be free. Someone get this game noticed by like a big game producer because it has the potential alright.

If you improve the animation (I'm not saying it's bad but pixelated games don't get far these days) and make a ton of levels and cut scenes and maybe a little more of a story this game could actually be good enough to maybe make it to a computer console or Wii or Xbox or PlayStation and it will make you MONEY.

To conclude, thanks for an awesome experience with this game. I know this is supposed to be a review but it is more of advice from a...friend.

I love this game soooooo much! I really like Minecraft to! BTW if you like Minecraft you’re going to really love this game. It is a little bit hard. I is pixelated I wanted you to know that before you get this approved app. Also if you have a video in the begening it is totally natural very natural. It starts out simple. Then after time it gets really hard. First time you do it on the village thing you have to get a key but you can’t see it. You know you’re practice. You jump on stuff and then you can see it. I can’t do anything because I would spoil it. BTW totally get SuperCatTales I know I sometimes sound crazy 😝 but I’m telling you GET SuperCatTales!!! And it is free!💗💗💗💗💗💗💗🤣🤣

I love this game- the graphics, audio, characters, the simplicity of the controls.... I even spent money on the double coin option. What I am sad about is that saving up for a 200-coin phoenix, for example, takes a while without the premium coin multiplier. It bugs me a bit because I tried to use two helpers on a level once, not realizing that you could not, and the second helper replaced my phoenix without consent. It'd be really great if you could allow two helpers, or even better, a pop up that confirms changing the helper. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this game to anyone who likes Super Mario especially, and hope that there are more levels to come in the future since I am on the ice world already. Thanks!

I absolutely love this game! I haven’t played it in around 2 years, and whenever I saw it in SuperCatTales Store I knew I had to download it! There’s not many bugs or flaws, but something that Kinda Irritates me is that whenever I watch an ad SuperCatTales freezes completely, and I also constantly get repetitive ads, but that’s not really your problem. Anyways The Game Is as Amazing As It Used to be. I’m only on world 2 and it’s one of the best games I’ve ever played, but I know it’ll get better throughout the game, and in SuperCat Tales 2 Also! Luckily, I have an iPhone 7 So My Screen Seems to Fit Perfectly. Well Cya Hehe, Meow!

This game is OK but it has the most glitches in any game I played. Glitch number one: sometimes you keep walking forever. Glitch number two: sometimes when you to shops, the guy says “welcome to the shop.” And you just wait until he lets you buy stuff. Glitch number three: sometimes when I’m entering the game, it won’t let me. Glitch number four: so when I was in the big fin level, it gave me a golden cat. Why not give that to me on the beetle brawl level? Here are my two questions about this game: one. Why are the cats it a hot air balloon? Two. Was glitch number four even a glitch?

I love this game! The characters, the story, Everything! A paw full of Cats Traveling through forest, Oceans, Deserts, and other Regions to find there way home! I like the small little adventure, It sweet, and Downright Adorable! There’s a but though, I play on a iPhone XR, and the game doesn’t fit the screen, I try my best to Ignore it, but I can’t! Don’t get me wrong, I Still love the game, it’s just hard to enjoy the game when you can’t see the full screen! Please update this! So, Newcomers This is a amazing game, Try it out! You’ll like it! But if you play in a Newer iPhone, You probably won’t get a full screen of the action, but trust me, it’s still a Paw-Some game!

When I first saw this game, I was like "Another ripoff of super Mario bros. Yay." But I saw the 5 star rating and thought I might give a it a try. I was immediately drawn to the pixel style and cheerful music. The cats were so cute as well! The controls are very simple, but complex enough to create puzzles. And the level design has a lot of secrets, but not so much that you spend hours trying to find each item. And finally, the cat's different abilities and pink paw print spots added a nice challenge, as each cat could do one special thing. Overall, I give this game 10/5 stars. Devs, you have really created the perfect game.
