App is steeling your money

I love Marvel, and I love to color. The app functionality is actually pretty neat. It is missing some Apple Pencil features such as double tap to change tools, and most drawing apps when connected to a pencil uses your finger as an eraser, this app doesn’t. So why am I giving this app a 1 star review? Their subscription pricing. Their yearly option ($25/year) isn’t bad, I was ready to subscribe to that! But then I noticed something. They try to trick me, and all of their customers into subscribing weekly for $5, which comes out to $265/year. They put the price in the fine print, and promote the 7 day trail. This is shady business practice and Apple should step in. Check your subscription settings on this app to make sure you’re not overpaying!

I downloaded this for free and colored one sheet then never opened the app again. Just received a charge for a subscription fee now?!? Not authorized or any notification that I was going to be charged. No problem with the actual app, but I didn’t want to pay for anything so it would never have been downloaded if I would have known this would happen.

EDIT: Just found another email were I was charged AGAIN for the same app subscription, 7 days after the first. Will be reporting and have already deleted. Buyer beware.

I have had this app since it came out and at first I loved it. It combined two things I enjoy marvel and art but then it started making me upset. When I got the app it used to give you two free drawings to color for each chapter released and the rest were for premium members only. That was totally fine with me because I was okay with only having two free drawings out of a chapter because I can’t afford to get the membership. Then each chapter started coming with one free drawing which was a little disappointing to me because I couldn’t color as much and the drawings tended to be relatively plain but nonetheless I was happy to color a drawing each chapter. I just went on the app the other day (like I do everyday) and I saw the new chapter was out and I was excited to see what my one free drawing would be from this chapter but I was frustrated when I clicked on it and saw that none of the drawings are free anymore. I really loved this app at first but now I’m frustrated that I don’t even get to color anything. I used to get on this app when I was anxious or stressed but now I can’t even use the app without paying to use the it. It’s frustrating because what’s the point of having an app if you can’t even use it.
