About: What is tinnitus? Tinnitus is the perception of a sound within the ear, without
a real sound being actually emitted from outside the auricle. Some people do
not find this condition to be of disturbance, while for others it can be
extremely annoying as it is perceived as a constant whistle, buzz in the head or
hiss that distracts the brain and diverts its capacity of concentration from
everyday tasks.

The ear's educational treatments for tinnitus are based on sound therapy.

This sound masking mitigates the perception of sound, re-establishing a new threshold to auditory experiences.

If the audio treatment is continued for 6 weeks straight, the symptoms of tinnitus are lessened considerably, and even appear to disappear completely.

Select a masking sound from the list, choosing the one that most of all resembles the one perceived by your ears.

During the latter, the patient listens to an artificially generated sound as similar as possible to the one his ear perceives for 4 to 6 hours a day.

Worked for me

I’ve tested more than 10 apps this last week and this is the only one that worked for me. I was having a really bad tinnitus episode and TinnitusReliefSoundMasking helped me to sleep.

Worthless

If you don’t mind wasting your time, try it and make a review. Hopefully we can rid the AppStore of trash apps like this one.

How are you to know what sound/pitch to use?

Well, it stinks. There are quite a different noises you can use to find the one that suits the tinnitus in your ears, but the majority of the sounds are locked and you have to pay four dollars to unlock them. OK. So that's the way you want to play? The problem comes in and that you think you're getting an app that's going to do something for free. Well, obviously not! It should just be upfront and say that if you really want to use TinnitusReliefSoundMasking you're going to have to pay four dollars. I might have paid the four dollars. But now I'm feeling a little stubborn.

Like it, but....

The free "unlocked" music choices are getting old. Cannot find how to unlock the other choices??

App click bait

My tinnitus is bothering me. Downloaded a couple apps. The intro made this one look promising. Most of the test sounds were locked so you can’t even try them. Deleted app as a waste of time.

Won’t pay for something I can’t try

The free stuff doesn’t work for me and I can’t try the rest with out paying, so keep it.

I have been wanting to try something like this

And was glad to see an app. However it appears to not offer a sound to match/reach the high pitched "tone" I hear. And yes I paid to unlock.
