HOMEE: Handyman, Plumber, HVAC Reviews

To be clear, I have not yet used the services of a professional from the this app app. However, it was recommended by the person who was at my home to install a new dishwasher. He told me I had corroded pipes and a corroded shut-off valve under my sink and he couldn’t proceed without causing further damage. He said I should call a plumber and told me about this app. However he also mentioned that I will need to have some sort of shin under the back legs of the dishwasher to make it level because of how the flooring was installed.

Since my problem has already been diagnosed and I also need my new dishwasher installed, I felt like it would be nice to have the ability to mention these things to a potential contractor. Do I need a plumber AND a handyman? Will the plumber do it all or can a Handyman work on pipes? I’d hate to have two people come out with the dispatch fees when one would do all of it.

Maybe a notes section with feedback from contractors where I can write something that will be sent out with my request and they can clarify things or even help arrive with the correct parts in hand.

This is truly a great alternative & forward thinking solution for Real Estate Investors, Property Managers, or just homeowners in general. Think about how hard it is to manage a portfolio of even 10 single family units dispersed across a town. With this app I can leverage the gig economy to find professional and licensed contractors that will complete work for my tenants literally at any time! They are available 24/7! The fact that I can pay per minute is also fantastic, for light bulbs or simple toilet fixes, I’m not being charged a full hour of labor by a company that takes 2 days to go out and doesn’t provide any pictures of proof that they even did the work anymore! I believe Companies like this app will be the industry standard for maintenance and repairs very soon. They enable me to keep my tenants happy & cut costs on my maintenance and repairs budget! Go this app’s!

I had a dryer that needed to be fixed. I attempted to contact several places in my area but had no responses. I was recommended the this app app so I downloaded and placed my job on there. Within minutes I was contacted and they were to send a repairman named Yesid to my residence to repair the dryer. He was very pleasant and did a great job. Thank you Tran for responding so quickly getting someone out to my place so I was able to get my dryer back up and running. I found HOMEE to be easy to use. I also found it great that HOMEE allowed me to follow when the repairmen stated and finished the job. No hidden fees. Would recommend this company to any person in the NJ area.

I used this app for a few handyman projects at our rental property. I had a short window between tenants, and I was worried about finding a reliable handyman who would come to complete these small jobs. Then I found this app. In less than an hour of requesting a job, I had a super-knowledgeable handyman/electrician at our rental property. He walked the property with me to review all the work I needed, and he made suggestions about some other things I could have done. He then completed everything thoroughly and quickly at a very fair price. Will definitely use this app again for our rental and our own home!

I opened the account on Saturday and I looked for heater guy and only one Pro was available. So I was stuck with that option, the Pro tried to defer the call till Monday and I said no. So he came out 2 hours later although he was supposed to be the in 45 minutes. Then he spent 45 minutes and replaced the temperature sensor and walked away. The problem returned right after he left. We called the pro and he said he can come back Monday to throw another part on it that he can only purchase on Monday. So this started to sound like he is throwing parts at it and hopefully it will work. In the meantime we are still without heat. DO this app even check on these Pros for qualification?
Also, in the application there is no way to contact support which is so unprofessional.
And do not fall in the Zillow $100 back trap. It is very difficult to apply for your first call.

This service is a game-changer for the home improvement/service industry! Finding a contractor that I can trust has always been a challenge. When all referrals and payments going through HOMEE , it improves trust and ensures that contractors are held accountable for their work. The other great thing about the service, is that HOMEE doesn’t does it run itself but instead they have customer service reps who follow up and are available if there are any questions or discrepancies. I highly recommend HOMEE and the company in general!

FABULOUS SERVICE. My Plumber charges $100 to just come to the house and I am lucky if he comes the day I need him! My first this app call had a Plumber at my house in 20 minutes and he replaced the insides of toilet tank and total bill was well under $100.
Today my son came over to replace a chandelier in dining room and realized his ladder was too short and he could not do the job. this app to the rescue - again. Great job and took under 30 minutes. I have raved about this app to friends and family. What a great concept, you rock! Folks, put their app on your phone, you won’t be sorry.

I used HOMEE today for the first time. Super bowl Sunday and I wasn’t optimistic of getting anyone over to fix a malfunctioning toilet. Pleasantly surprised. HOMEE is easy to maneuver through. Response for the job was within seconds. Once I confirmed, I received a text within minutes to confirm what the problem was and the time frame to arrive (well within an 45 minutes). The plumber was professional and personable. Job was completed quickly and expertly. I will definitely use HOMEE again when I need repairs.

What a brilliant concept! What a saving grace for First time homeowners like myself, very busy executives or people who just are not handy. I had limited time and a ton of things that needed to get done in our house spanning furniture repairs, an old garden fountain with a broken pump and electrical needs. With a touch of a button on my phone screen, experts were dispatched, kind and friendly professionals that got the list of work done efficiently and well.

This is my first experience using the this app app and was hopeful that it was a good decision. I started the process at approximately 7:45am to seek a plumber to repair a leaking bathtub faucet. I received an immediate response and Hector arrived within a half hour to review the problem. He diagnosed the problem and was able to complete the repairs in a very professional and efficient manner. I will most certainly be returning to this app for any future maintenance needs that surface. A very friendly and easy to use app. I highly recommend to anyone seeking repair and maintenance work.

The this app technician was at my house in under an hour and probably diagnosed and fixed my issue faster than the neighbor electrician would have so I feel the price might have been a discount. The technician found a few more issues outside of what we requested him for and offered to come back the next day to fix those without another up front fee. Excellent service and easy to use app.

I am a full time real estate investor who often requires backups in case my usual handymen are tied up. HOMEE is PERFECT for that. Their customer service is thorough (in this case, I spoke with Helen, who is the local market manager for the Philly area). The professionals they sent to my rental property did work of the utmost quality. I would highly recommend this for other rental property investors who need a maintenance request done in a timely manner.

Our family recently had two outstanding experiences with this app. One HVAC related and the other a minor plumbing issue. Both services calls happened on a Sunday afternoon....Tech was at our house within an hour, very professional and worked quickly but with outstanding quality and reasonable price. Awesome to have the ability to get work done on a weekend too. this app, we will be back & thanks!

I hired this app to paint one of my bedrooms. Process start to finish was easy. Dino was the provider who came to my house. He was on time and very efficient. I’m always impressed with those that can paint flawlessly without the need to tape everything. Great job Dino! I definitely recommend giving this app a try on any home projects you might have. It feels so good to cross it off the honey-do list!

At 8:30pm a leaking shower handle led to the stopping all water usage in my home and putting my family in panic. After an hour of not being able to fix the problem on my own, I call the professionals in from HOMEE “ this app”.
Luis was dispatched to me who, he was very calm, courteous, and professional. He conducted an assessment, then head to Lowe’s to purchase the new part, and installed it in under 30:00 minutes.

We have had this app at our home twice in the past two days and we have impressed with both the plumber’s and the handyman’s professionalism, efficiency, quality and knowledge of the the job requested. Used the service twice today for some home maintenance issues. So far I have used Electrical to install a light, plumbing to look at a water heater and HVAC to service my units. Very professional staff and very reasonable on pricing! Best part was I didn't have to wait for some service tech to come between the hours of 8a-12 like most places! Ain't nobody got time for that! Highly recommend HOMEE and service.

I submitted my plumbing request late Sunday night. I received a courtesy call to confirm that I wanted service that late. I confirmed and Jazz showed and resolved both issues, plus a third I inquired about. You confirm the start time in HOMEE when the work starts and approve upon completion. The bathroom is now in working order for my kids in the morning for school. Excellent, affordable service!!

This company sent a plumber to my home for a toilet repair. While there he said our water heater needed to be replaced. Paid him $2000 cash and it turns out he messed it up and put our household including my 4 year old daughter at risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. Now have to pay $1500 to have this one replaced. They will not do anything about it because they say that is not what the plumber was called out to do, but he negotiated it on the same trip. I’m sorry they hired a plumber who is dishonest and doesn’t do his job right but I would beware of using anybody they hire.

I had a ceiling fan installed a couple of months ago and could not believe what a great experience this was. 1. this app was cheaper than a Lowe’s or Home Depot installation. 2. Great work done by the pro Jazz. Very professional and very knowledgeable. 3. Unbelievable customer service. I was helped from start to finish by two this app employees, Josh and Margie. I will be using this app again in the future. Keep up the good work!

After having intermittent power failures on my thermostat and changing all the wires, replacing the thermostat and filters, and several other unsuccessful troubleshooting steps, I finally tried this app. It took a minute (had to try 3 times) to get a Pro (but I live in a fairly remote area, so no surprise), but once Bill responded, he was onsite in less than 20 minutes, diagnosed the problem in 2 minutes, and had it fixed in 40 total. I’m no longer sweating (literally)!! Thanks Bill and thanks this app!!! Awesome!
