Don't die in dungeons Reviews

Lots to like here. Randomly generated dungeons are a nice touch. Minor graphic glitches at some of the edges but the zoom feature is very helpful. Controls are pretty good, although a game that says, "Don't die..." is bound to involve quite a bit of dying at some point. But it never feels like a broken design.

Biggest gripe so far is that you have to buy ALL of the weapons, armor, accessories, etc. to get the ones you want because you have to buy them IN ORDER...UGH!!! I'm already at the point where I have to make 3 or 4 purchases of an item type to get an actual stat bonus. It's certainly not an app-breaker but it sort of discourages use of the IAPs because I feel a little cheated.

Oh well. Can't really complain. It's fun, it's free and I haven't found an app yet that pulls of old-school platforming with real touch accessibility. And the sense of nostalgia really takes me back. Good job!

So there are so many things I like about this game; the monsters, the weapons, the controls, the design, the music, no ads, the nostalgia, the randomly generated dungeons.
Now that's only scratching the surface of how great this game is but there are some weak points that need to be fixed. Like the controls will sometimes freeze, right when you are fighting a monster or boss. Also, you know how old Gameboy games, or just old video games in general, would put a storyline in the instruction manual. Well that would be cool here, if in the menu there was some story about the world, the certain characters. I know it's a small simple game, but it could be a little more with it.
Any ways, awesome game, probably my favorite game on Dontdieindungeons Store next to "Iron Snout+" !

I didn't know what to expect and ever since playing other great games like Goblin Sword and Devious Dungeon, my expectations have been high for games like this but it is overall enjoyable so far! The controls feel a little clunky and the game isn't as smooth as I had hoped but it adds a bit of difficulty to the already fairly difficult scenarios and I'm sure once I get more used to playing it'll get better. There is a leveling up feature as well as upgradable equipment (which I haven't had much experience using at this moment since I'm still early on into the game) but, I do recommend this title especially since it's free! Don't hesitate to give it a try!

This game is Dope but I think it would fly off the charts if you actually made the enemies different levels and made the characters customizable with color diversity with armor and weapon drops add a custom home to fix up and do things and make it online were you can chat and trade gear it makes it cool because it has all the elements off an MMO OR RPG but in beautiful bit theme with super clean bright colors for blade glow and even custom pets to attack enemies or hop and snatch coins with 3D Touch element for power or melee specials with a dungeon map and intersecting open world in between dungeons

So I saw a review talking about coins so then I thought about making a coin review to. Okay so when I had a line of coins and I collected them It was SO SATISFYING, and don’t say it’s not because you will turn into a monster and I kill you as a monster. Don’t think I’m a crazy person that wants to kill people because I just LOVE getting a line of coins. I just have ONE thing left to say and that is that I enjoy playing this game. That’s another reason why I like this game.

Complete with same music looping over and over until you go insane or get a migraine. It's a really good little game though. Has a lot of nice touches like stats and gear. The gold drops are very fair and you can easily play this game to the end without spending a real dime.

My only gripe is the controls. I'm not talking about the touch screen movements... there's no way around that. I'm talking about how if you are swinging your sword furiously, you can't switch directions you are facing. You have to stop swinging to switch directions. Fix that and I'll give you 5 stars.

I feel it could be better. You should have more options like choosing different types of weapons such as bows, staffs, magic whatever’s, swords, daggers etc. or even start off choosing your character and class and that class determines what type of weapons you choose. Or even collect items to craft potions, upgrade weapons, and learn spells. Either way, still a wonderful game and it reminds me of all the SNES dungeon type games I use to play

A great game to just...play its not like one of those games where u have a certain amount of lives or energy you can just play it and it doesn't get old because it's randomly generated dungeons (except for the first on because it's the tutorial)

So I like the game I think it’s good but the health system is what keeps me from playing cause A those wolfs or whatever those things running around are called have no knock back, heck nothing has any knock back and when I got done with the 1st level I had 8 health or hearts, whatever and when I got to level 2 I STILL had 8 hearts and the wolfs do 7 health so that is my review to don’t die in dungeons

😏I love the game! And even better to kno it doesn’t come with annoying ads. My only issue is that wen I go to upgrade my character clothes, he never actually changes wen in play mode again. No matter how many times I buy a new upgraded shirt and progress in the game,,,nothing happens! Is this how the game is suppose to be played...??? What’s up wit dat?? What’s, up, wit.... Dat!

Very good game overall, easily beatable without spending money. However later in the game you will notice some major issues with the hitboxes of enemies attacks. For example, in some worse cases I'm on the other side of a cliff from an enemy and their attack somehow still hits me. It gets very frustrating as it seems more than half of the time I get hit, I completely dodged the enemies attack.

I always try to find nice emulator games, this one hits the spot. Plus i do appreciate how they've set up their commercials; they pop ups are small and out of the way, but ones that you do have to watch through are compensated by giving you (in-game) coins for it. Better than most free games i've played, try it out

Honestly, this is one of, if not, the best mobile games I've played ever. Works very well, good mechanics, and nostalgic. It really is addicting and amazing. Maybe add some RANGED WEAPONS??? That's all to be added. If this game performs well on a 5th generation IPod (which I have) then it must work astonishingly on other devices.

Almost every enemy is near impossible to kill without getting hit because of the tiny platform their put on and I constantly run into spots where being hit is literally unavoidable. Example there's a skeleton on the ledge I need to jump up on, the second my head is in range he fires like a gun his arrow and hits me, no chance. But there is some fun to be had for free I guess.

This game reminds me of ghosts n goblins on the NES. It's got a cool creepy medieval feel to it with tons of great looking monsters, and various things to upgrade your character with. Controls can be a little laggy but that's it. Great music and graphics, this is a five star game for sure!

A fun time waster. Would be 5 stars, but some enemies you can't destroy without taking damage. But still, well worth it so far! Took about 30min of playing to really enjoy the game so have a little patience. Really like how you get coins for everything you do which makes it seem like nothing is tedious.

This game has a terrible balance. Even if you are cleared the final stage, you can only buy items to the middle level because of lack of gold. My last weapon when I killed the final boss is 2,800G, but the last one in the store was 126,000G.

This game is truly awesome? Reminds me a bit of Castlevania, only with out the whip and better character customization.
I recommend this to anyone who loves RPG games and whom wants to pass on the time.

Love this game. Been playing it for hours today. One you start upgrading your weapons and armor the game really gets rolling. It's just awesome. Great music. Cool levels. Don't have to pay to play. Looks a lot like old school Nintendo games. ❤️🤘❤️🙏

Actually a solid game man they could at least incorporate some arrows or something because some of the enemies shoot things at you and it can be difficult to go in for the kill ya know?
