Terrible customer service

I’ve used Maven multiple times, and each time has come with its own set of issues. Broken cars, dirty cars, cars not charged etc etc. that wouldn’t make Maven terrible, but the customer service is absolutely awful. I’ve been hung up on, and talked to like a dog with customer service. I had such a terrible experience, I called customer service and was rudely handled by an agent so I asked to speak with a supervisor. The supervisor offered me a partial refund. That was great. I’ve used Maven to go to THE SAME PLACE every time I’ve used this service. After my refund was confirmed I received a message saying that I went over the miles and was charged an exorbitant amount of money for the overage. I’ve never been charged before, and I always take the same route. So I called to inquire and I was again, connected to a rude agent. The agent basically told me he could put a support ticket in to have the charge reviewed, but he then told me if I do, all the other times I potentially went over, I would be charged for those as well as being charged an additional fee. He was so rude about it, and I don’t think it’s very professional to try to intimidate your customers because they want to inquire about a charge. It’s sad that such an innovative idea is completely ruined because of customer service.

Avoid this service at all costs. I would not like a customer service follow up, as I’ve already ended my membership and deleted Maven .




Worst company ever

I got a car from there after the 3 week I was only making enough money to pay for the car wasn’t seeing no extra money so that third week I called in an told the women hey car prices changed an cheaper can y’all at the new charges to my account she said no I gotta redo it to get the new prices which that didn’t make since to me they should just apply that to the people that has cars already then on top of that told the lady well I’m not going to make the money for the car price when do I return the car I was told they will send a email on the day to bring it into office this was a Monday my payment wasn’t due to to Tuesday while I waiting in my time an day the next day Wednesday they locked the car I called an asked why would y’all lock the car an I could have just brought the car to the office I’m going by what youre representive said they said sorry for the miss communication but I had to just come bring the car in now they charged me 500 dollars just to pick up the car then charged me for the days an how long they took to come pick up the car bill over 1000 dollars now an I don’t know what to do I thought about taking the company onto the news because it a whole rip off company why not just let me bring car in nobody going to take the car thinking about going to fox two so if anybody esle having these issues we need to get together an take it to the higher ground




WORST experience ever! HORRIBLE customer service

I didn't even get to use their cars tags the sad part. I made a reservation for 24 hours received confirmation and I headed out to the station to pick up said car when I arrived. I go into Maven where it tells me it had been cancelled mind you they had charge my bank card 2x!!! So I proceed to call customer service since I had made my way all the way there to see what was the issue. When I spoke to the rep she explained to me that " my account was suspended" (keep in my this is my first time ever attempting to make a reservation) I asked her why that was the case and she didn't know. So I ask her "why was I allowed to make a reservation to begin with and then charged twice for it. She tells me she doesn't know and there is nothing she can do but I can speak to her supervisor Kevin and he wasn't much help. He told me to email member services and they'd get back to me within 5 days to review the account. I tell him at this point I could care less about the account being suspended, I just want my money back immediately. He tells me there's nothing he can do bc he has to get in contact with member services himself and has no contact info for them other than email smh. Thankfully my bank was amazing and blocked these charges bc if I had to deal with this app directly about my money I'd be screwed. NEVER rent from them. ReachNow is way better and even Enterprise car sharing is better!




The app doesn’t want me to be Maven’s customer

I created my account a few months ago but never had a chance to use it. Last month I needed a hourly rental car, and then I tried to make my first reservation. However, the error “the legal consent documents has been updated, please read and accept them” always popped up. There was no way I can accept the legal consent documents inside Maven , neither on the website. I called the costumer service and was suggested to reinstall Maven and accept. It also failed, even after I tried the suggestion. I called the costumer service again, and their response was that it might be a bug in Maven , and there was nothing they can do as costumer service to get me out of the problem. I ended up using Uber that day, but I didn’t complain that time, since as a software engineer, I understood bugs happen, and the customer service promised me that they will report this issue to the tech team.

Now almost one month has passed, in which time a new version has been updated, I reopen Maven , try the second time to book my first reservation. The same problem happens. I don’t know what the customer service can do: they cannot help me to manually solve this issue, and they cannot help me to get this bug fixed. The only thing I feel is that I am being rejected to be a this app costumer.




Avoid Maven like a plague. treats customers Horrible

I had a this app car breakdown! I had it towed to the nearest authorized dealer ship -Note a problem (alternator went out dealership said it’s under warranty will fix for free )
I’ve notified this app serval times about the situation did not hear back For about a week
Finally I did get one response saying that they have received their car I was waiting for a response about receiving another car or something to get this resolved again I have tried to email contact this app many times again another two weeks pass by they said they have suspended my account again I tried email several times another week pass by I finally got a response they said they can suspend anybody’s Without any reason I replied you got to be kidding me this was totally not my fault that the car broke down have not heard from this app since they charged me twice for rental but yet I’m suspended I’m confuse of your illegal practice I still haven’t got paid reimbursed for the tow of your vehicle you guys are very very horrible you treat your customers like garbage how dare you
So difficult to work with this app I had to contact my bank to reverse rental charges since I had no vehicle in my possession only thing that I have not gotten reimburse us for the toe of their vehicle Considering a class-action lawsuit may be the only solution




AMAZING Experience !!!

This is my FIRST Time ever taking time out of My Schedule to Review an App but I felt it was surely worth it . I LOVE this app !! I usually tend to rent cars from your everyday rental places (ie enterprise, advantage and so on) but I stumbled upon Maven from an advertisement & thought it wasn’t possible to have such a convenient hassle free rental process so I thought I should try it out ... Sure enough , HASSLE FREE . Of coarse , people look at the prices and think it may be too expensive but it’s not . Gas is included , insurance is included , Wi-Fi is included , and soooo much more convenient . Booking is made simple , choosing your car is as easy as a simple tap on your smart phone . Not to mention the car selection is amazing , they have a little something for everyone . You want to Know what’s the Best Part ? You can Rent by the Hour !!!! I tend to always rent by the day but how convenient is that ?! I recommend Maven to ANY and EVERYONE . You will not be disappointed , all you need is a good driving record and a debit / credit card . You will not be disappointed , I LOVE Maven . 💛




TRASH

A similar story to those that have been listed but I reserved a car with this app and when I get to the garage I notice the side view mirror is hanging off of the car. I call report that the car is not in a safe state that I haven’t even driven the car and I’m told to cancel the reservation wait 5-7 days for a refund but in the meantime I can get a different car 2 miles from where I am currently. Fast forward 3 weeks I need a car to run an errand and this app Says I’m locked out of my account due to a damage claim. Which is curious because the claim wasn’t mine and I called before I even got in the car to tell this app that the stupid car was broken? Customer service was more than snide when I called saying that of course I’m locked out my account because I reported a claim during my reservation- I tell her that no I did not drive that car I did infect call and later that day I used a different this app car? So instead of fixing the dumb car or even checking that their cars are in good shape the person I talked to sent a false claim even though this person tells me it showed that the car never left the garage. And guess what I’m still locked out of my account and now I have to wait for a new claim to go through to have money given back to me




In the end great experience

I was off to a rocky start with this app. When I had originally signed up with company they had a technical issue which delayed the processing of my application. After an email to customer support I was told the issue was resolved. They did provide me with excellent customer service. Overall, the company does a great job at making car renting easy. I picked up the car from a close by garage. The car had a microchip on the windshield allowing easy entry and exit to the garage. I had a Chevy Spark and loved that it was a newer model. It ran smoothly and I had no issues. The car was a bit dirty, but not too bad. They do provide you with car chargers, however, the one in my car did not work. No need to worry gas, they provide you with a gas card. Bottom line, I had a good experience with this app and love being able to borrow a car when needed without having to pay the ridiculous prices of Hertz and Enterprise. I truly recommend using them.




HORRIBLE customer service

If you pick up the car on a Tuesday, to be charged only for a week you must deliver the car on Monday. But Maven only offers you to deliver next Tuesday, which makes you debited for another 1 week. In other words, they basically oblige you to pay for two weeks and after 3 to 5 days to return only 6 per day (because the day they offer you to return after the first week is already discounted + 1 per day) And the best part is: THEY DO NOT RETURN MONEY. The money is credited to the account for a future reservation. That is, they charge more money without our authorization and refuse to give back, you can only use your money the way they want. after that I spent over a month with a Bolt for 290 / week. I did the renovation and to my surprise the price went up to 385 / week. I called the call center and what was said: "I can not do anything for you, I should have checked the value of the week in the renovation." I returned to the this app Gig LA and the response was a laugh with "It's just the next week to return the car." So if after all this I wrote, you still want to be stolen by this company I just have something to say: you have the courage!




Don’t rent with this company at all.

I do not recommend this at all. I was reported smoking when I never smoked in my entire life. I did not even noticed any kind of smell while renting the car. I called and asked. I was told due to policy I cannot do anything. How can I let them know immediately if I didn’t noticed anything? I asked what time the cleaning crew came to clean it. I was told they cannot release that information. Like really???? You can’t just say it’s cleaned 9am of Jan 2nd? I am not even asking for anyone’s information but you can’t even tell me when a car was being clean? Due to policy, I cannot go forward in investigating what happened. I do not know what happened in between the time I dropped off the car and when they cleaned the car; however, this isn’t right for me. These are literally cars parked outside in the open, so people be careful if you guys decide to rent a car from here. You’re running the risk of anything can happen. I would not try this again. I liked it at first for the fact that it was an emergency that I had to rent a car immediately, but beyond that I don’t feel secure with this company.




Horrible Experience

Spent a lot of money with this company for them to cancel my ride for a full day booking after picking it up midnight. I already had a hard time booking it on the phone so I called. They said that they were doing updates to Maven for me to update my app or sign out and sign back in. Eventually I was able to book the car but I had to wait till the next time frame when I could pick up the car. I drive the car home then when I wake up the next morning to go out to the car I can no longer get into the car and my app wouldn’t let me sign in. I called they said that my account has been canceled no explanation because customer service doesn’t handle that. They would send someone to get the car. I was even given a hard time to get my items out. Customer service also said I would be receiving a email from HR with a explanation. I never received a thing. I didn’t even receive a refund for the day I had booked. I called asking about my refund numerous of times to get the run around. Their cars are expensive for the day and I as though feel they have robbed me blind.




Absolutely horrible service!!!

I used their service for the first and last time. I picked the car up at Union Station in DC. When I went to return the vehicle, the parking lot at Union Station was blocked off due to an emergency. There are this app spots in my apartment building so I decided to just go and return the car there. A this app rep had been to our building a couple weeks prior and told me you can return the car to any location, not just the spot you picked it up at. This turned out to be incorrect. When I tried to end the trip I kept getting an error message. I called their customer service and explained the issue. They said I might get charged a fee for returning the car to the wrong place. I told them that because it was impossible to get into the original lot, and because a rep told me wrong information I should not be charged. Their customer service I guess has no control over any fees and couldn’t help. I then sent FIVE unanswered emails to them and called three separate times to talk to someone with no answers and no help.

Save yourself the time and struggle and rent a car 2 go or a zip car.




Do not use this company!

This company is by far the worst that I have dealt with. I was referred to this company through a Uber driver that spoke highly of them at the time. I loaded Maven and to my knowledge everything was going great until the day I had to pick up my reservation I get to a parking garage did all I was asked of only to be told I need to open a bank account to come back to the place and still not be able to get the car the lady moved my appointment to the next day and told me to get another bank account did that came back the next day only to be told that I can’t get the reservation the lady told me that I would not be charged for anything that the hold would be released 3-5 business days ok I was fine with that I felt like I was very understanding but to turn around today and get a email status saying that my account was being terminated and could not work with them in the future I really was not understanding the email so I called customer service and they looked it up and told me that they didn’t know why and I couldn’t talk to anyone else about the situation.




Terrible EVER

I recently tried to book an car through this app gig, I downloaded Maven back to my device because I couldn’t get into my account before. I called member services multiple time they told me I would have to send out an email and wait 5 days for them to respond back to me. A member services couldn’t give me no type of information. I tried to book my first reservation they told me my account was suspended. I NEVER utilized none of there vehicles. I sent 5 emails to member services as well, I receive an email stated that my account was permanently closed due to inaccurate information. I didn’t see how because they approved me and everything was still the same when I first credit my account. Again I called member services and still no response. Do not I REPEAT do not use Maven. They charge unnecessary fee’s as well and unprofessional careless customer support team. I guarantee you WILL have unnecessary problems for absolutely no reason and they will not resolve your issue. Definitely telling all my family and friends not to use Maven.




DO NOT RENT‼️

I made the worst decision ever going back with this company. Almost $2000 per month to use their raggedy cars! The customer service is ghetto and terrible and this app does not care about you. I was barely making the car note per week. I was seeing great profit at first but that stopped! Uber and Lyft tremendously slowed down and you darn near have to drive 12 hours to make $100. It wasn’t always this way. And it made no sense to me of why this app increased their prices by close to $200. Even with doing shipt, door dash, and post mates, it was like working like a slave for pennies. They cut my car off while I was in an unfamiliar neighborhood in the middle of a shipt order. I had no extra money. It was freezing cold out. I was trying to make the rest of my car note money. They charged me an extra $500 on top of the $650 I owed and they’re trying to charge me an extra $366 for a week that I didn’t have the car. I extremely regret doing business with this company and I regret referring the people I’ve referred. AVOID THIS PLACE and just go get a car. Again, AVOID THIS PLACE
