Scanner

I'm just upset because there is one reason I got DailyPractice : to scan my answers on practice tests. It won't. I've been trying for half an hour (31 minutes, to be exact), and I just cannot get it to work. Usually, the first page scans pretty easily, the second page takes about 30 seconds, and then the third or fourth page will not scan. If you know how to fix this, please tell me. I would manually score it, but there isn't an option to do this on DailyPractice or website where I have looked, and I really want my results to sync with my college board account. I would not recommend since you can get everything you get from DailyPractice off the SAT website because it does not scan.

Update: Yayayayyayayaay!!! I got it. I had to unstaple it. The entire black box has to be visible. It took me over half an hour, and it was tedious, but it worked and I'm satisfied. I would recommend, with a side note: make sure you keep the whole black box visible!

Poor app. Scan option doesn’t work.

The reason why I downloaded DailyPractice was to efficiently score my practice tests. Yet, the feature doesn’t work whatsoever. I tried scanning multiple times simply to receive an error pop up. Even after manually inputting my scores (a complete waste of time), I got the same nuisance of a result. DailyPractice has poor interface and usability. Like all other things the College Board does, it is a poorly formatted scheme that in no way benefits students and strives to steal away your time, effort, and money. As much as I despise DailyPractice, I should have known better when I downloaded it. After all, why would the College Board ever deign to care about actually helping students be successful. Besides, a student that does poorly on the SAT because they don’t have the resources to learn what they are doing wrong will probably have to retake the test and pay even more ridiculous amounts of money to fund a malicious educational company whose monopoly rips off families and their children everywhere and every day.

Impossible To Check Scores

Today I spent about 4 hours of my day doing an SAT Practice Test. After this, I was hoping to achieve my scores and see whether I improved from before (I used DailyPractice before without any problems) or not. When I re-downloaded it (a couple of days ago), I used it for the daily questions and it was working fine. But today, when I tried to log in to check my scores, it just went to a white page, regardless of my correct input of my account name and password. I have now spent about an hour trying to make it work: downloading, re-downloading, downloading it on other family members’ phones, and it just does the same thing over and over again. DailyPractice needs a few updates at the least. There isn’t even any other solution to checking my scores except manually, which would take even more time and stress out of my day.

It's Okay...

I got DailyPractice with hopes of being able to efficiently score my tests and answer practice questions, however simply the ability to access my CB account from my phone seems like the extent of DailyPractice's value. The practice tests take so much time to score because it just won't accept my scans. The page I'm scanning will be in a well-lit area with all edges of the black box present and no shadows, but it takes me almost 25+ minutes to scan one test. DailyPractice also glitches a lot, like when I open DailyPractice to review my questions, it'll just crash and won't work until a few hours later, or even the next day. Other than that, the daily practice daily questions are helpful, and I appreciate that they are easy to access.

Decent

DailyPractice is effective in your learning and preparing of the SAT test in my opinion. The daily questions are a great way to stay on track and take studying step by step. I also like how DailyPractice informs you of your progress and what you need to work more on. Unfortunately, DailyPractice is glitchy and works a little strangely. For example, you are unable to just choose answers when practicing by just clicking them. You first have to go to the glitchy answer section and then pick your answer and submit it. That is inconvenient for me. There also have been other annoying bugs when using DailyPractice in my experience. Overral I would say it is a good tool for studying but it definitely could use some work!

Abby

I am extremely frustrated right now! I downloaded DailyPractice to scan my scores and it couldn’t read my score sheet so I printed a new score sheet to copy all the answers on my original score sheet so it can read it. Finally it was able to score my whole test. Today, as I am going through the test to see what I got wrong, it signs me out, so I try to log back into my college board account. Now whenever I log in it goes to a blank white page and doesn’t do anything, so I cannot see my score or the questions I’ve gotten wrong.

Difficult to use

DailyPractice is incredibly frustrating and disappointing to use. The first time I used DailyPractice , it was time consuming because the scan function wasn’t working, but at least, the manual scoring option worked. However, every time after that, I have been unable to do either. I always receive error messages. The only way that I have been able to get it to work is by deleting DailyPractice and reinstalling it. After I reinstall it and log in again, all of my previous scores have disappeared, so I’m not even able to see how my scores have improved over time. I’m lucky that Khan Academy saves my scores unlike DailyPractice . After three and half hours of taking the test, I want to be able to quickly and easily view my score.

Works well

I was hesitant to use DailyPractice because of all the negative reviews but my experience was pretty good. My practice test scanned all 4 sections immediately and graded everything correctly, I could see the questions analysis and explanation clearly, and the daily question was working for me. My only complaint would be that it does come off as a bit cramped but I guess that’s what do you expect when fitting sat questions and passages in your phone? I enjoyed my smooth experience and appreciate having a way to check my scores as I prepare for psat and sat!

Now works

I used DailyPractice before I took the PSAT in 2018, and I was able to sign in and scan my practice exam I had taken.

However, I can’t scan anything or look back at my previous scan stats now because I can’t sign in. Clicking the sign in button will lead me to a webpage to sign in, but it just becomes a blank gray webpage after I put in my correct login information. I have tried to sign in on my XR, an 8, and an iPad 4.

I’d really like to be able to log in and scan my practice test I just took before I take my SAT in a week. It’s possible I can’t login in because there’s too many people using it before the next SAT test day. Anyways, please try to find out why I can’t sign in and fix it please.

Update: Every now works. I can sign in and scan my answers now. 👍🏼

There are issues with the formatting/interface though. On my iPhone XR, certain buttons are hard to push and some things don’t fit onto the screen. Please fix this.

Horrible

I was very excited to be able to use DailyPractice to get practice test results, and everything scanned fine until the end, when it told me the scanning was unsuccessful even though it was. I don’t really understand what is happening, I even tried manually entering my scores and it said the exact same thing. So, I don’t know how I did or how I need to improve.

It also could have something to do with the test number. There were two options for a practice test, and I had #2. I had seen from previous comments that practice test #2 did not work and only the 1st one did. This is really getting on my nerves and was a waste of my time.

Good questions

I mainly downloaded this because of the question of the day, and the questions are fun to do. Although the questions are fine, DailyPractice itself is a bit buggy because sometimes I can’t get into DailyPractice . DailyPractice will make me return to the home screen once I press on it which is annoying. I would like for the company who updates DailyPractice to tell us where we can get all the practice tests in DailyPractice . I know the Khan Academy tests are available, but I will do those on their website. I’m just wondering if there are other practice tests.

TIP: Complete Black Box!

Scanned a full test yesterday and got my score. Checked a few of the marked answers with the key just to make sure and everything matched! I have also been doing the practice question each day with no problems. PRO TIP: make sure the ENTIRE black box is visible in the picture before holding still. Even things like hole punches or staples can throw it off. Otherwise it's solid.

Trash

Got DailyPractice to check answers for the practice test, but always said there was an error when getting my score. Now I just spent 3 hours of my day taking a practice test on the notion that i would know my score after i finished, only to find out that college board created this piece of trash to waste my time. I have spent so much time trying multiple times to scan and to enter questions manually. Neither of them works. Paid money to take the test yet all they do is put out trash like this. I wonder where all the money is going to, because i know for a fact they aren’t using it productively.

Can’t sign in

This is the most frustrating app. Its such a great idea, and when it works, it’s great. But why is it so unreliable?
I had to scan the scores over and over again to get the score the first time. Now it won’t even let me sign in. For two days we’ve been trying... sometimes I get the sign in screen, then after signing in it goes to a white page and never logs in...
Then sometimes it won’t even go to the sign in screen.
It’s so aggravating.

LIFE SAVER

DailyPractice is perfect for studying, whether it be months in advance or days before. The scanner portion is super nice because it saved time. I had a PSAT score of 1260. A month before my test, I downloaded this and used it often, doing practice questions and multiple tests. I ended up with a 1510. DailyPractice is great to test and elaborate on your skills in preparation for your test day.
