I was really excited when I discovered that Sendero GPS now known as seeing eye GPS moved to the iPhone. Have been using Sandra products for nearly 15 years. Enjoyed each succession and I am very proud to be a active user of the Seeing Eye GPS. I am a guy dog handler who travels daily as a pedestrian as a bus fixed route bus traveler as well as an Uber rider. I also travel by Gray hound, and I fly regularly. A GPS app as for most drivers is awesome and if you are blind, it is just as necessary. You are able to give directions actively as I do helping to navigate new communities with my friends. Even in my hometown we go new places and said of just sitting there waiting to get there, I can be an active part of the trip. I went to a party in a neighboring community with a friend or a couple months ago. It was a 30 mile trip and I was able to help my friend know were each turn was, and we arrived actually quicker than we thought we would she was very grateful for SeeingEyeGPS as well. So thank you send Darrow thank you for everyone who is a part of it and thank you for all that thank you for the partners such as Googal and others who contribute to the success of seeing a GPS. I have dictated because I do not have a reliable keyboard, but please except my sentiment. This is an awesome app and I really appreciate having it and it making my travel and the travel I do with others safe and accessible.

please Bring Back The Annual Subscription Option

For over two years, I've been an avid user of your app. However, there have been two major blows recently. First, when you gave up Google POI's. The second blow is coming right now, when you have discontinued the annual subscription option.
Please bring back the annual subscription, with better pricing compared to the monthly option. Otherwise, purchasing SeeingEyeGPS no longer makes sense for me.
Thank you!

Seeing Eye GPS is the best pedestrian GPS system for the blind

It was created with the blind in mind by people who knew and are blind send Darrell has been around since the early 90s and has been for running for this GPS system I would like to see Google maps continue with Seeing Eye GPS because they are the premier mapping system for GPS systems

Great and suggestions

SeeingEyeGPS is amazing… It gives the most clear imprecise directions for blind or visually impaired users! The only Two issues I am currently experiencing with SeeingEyeGPS are that I am not exactly pleased with the subscription model… I would have rather paid $200 for the life of SeeingEyeGPS . But, I am willing to pay the subscription because SeeingEyeGPS is worth it. The other thing I would like to see implemented in SeeingEyeGPS is public transportation directions for those of us Who live in larger cities that make use of public transportation. It would be amazing if SeeingEyeGPS could announce all of the stops as the bus/train approaches and Provide the next few times that the vehicle will come to your stop while you are waiting.

This is a great app

I love SeeingEyeGPS. When I moved to my new home in a new state it got me around. Are used it on a regular basis to read street signs around town and locate buildings. I have saved myself from getting lost in the same countless minutes in hours of travel time by using SeeingEyeGPS and all of its features.

Family sharing does not work

According to my husband, this application has some new features which are very helpful. However, SeeingEyeGPS promises that it works with family sharing but it does not. Consequently it is receiving a low rating. It is very expensive for what you get.

App is good POI’s are awful

Maybe the PO eyes work better elsewhere but in a college town it looks like the fools and idiots took over

Disappointing

Highly disappointed I did not mind the cost but expected a lot more from Sendero. I completed several POI why searches for businesses close to my house and got no results. This was done using each of the route options for GPS. I completed a POI search for a specific grocery store close to my house and the directions were inaccurate. It stated the business was on the right when in actuality it was on the left. If nothing else at least make it accurate. Also, when completing a POI while search it is very slow compared to other applications such as MapQuest. For a totally blind user SeeingEyeGPS was very easy to navigate. At this point I will continue to use MapQuest And would not recommend SeeingEyeGPS until the accuracy is fixed.

For those that are complaining about the cost look at the cost of the previous mapping programs from Sonero And the cost of the device to run them.

Easy to use, a good start.

I try SeeingEyeGPS on a short 1 mile walk. Everything seemed to work quite well. It gives street information in real time, and has plenty of lead time when instructing to turn.
The downside is, the subscription price is a little high, many people have expressed concerns about this price. Although, it works out to $.21 a day, some people cannot afford to put out this type of money for SeeingEyeGPS. It may be advised to have a monthly subscription, which may be more affordable.
I would like to see the ability to browse a virtual route like the old humanware trekkers were able to do. When I had my trekker, I use this feature a lot.

I would suggest that the POI categories be on the same screen as the screen that you search for them. I also think the option to adjust the speed at which it announces intersection and POI'S should be sliders directly accessible from the look around screen in settings. Overall awesome app for a pretty reasonable 3-year price. Gives me useful information that the built-in maps app and google maps don't give me.

Not good enough!

SeeingEyeGPS, while having great potential, is an absolute disaster. Since its beginning ovary year ago, they have changed map companies at least 2 to 3 times. The information I have gotten from SeeingEyeGPS has never been accurate, or at least not even close to what comparable apps in SeeingEyeGPS store have been. Why is it, that BlindSquare, and other certain apps, lock on to my address all the time, not some of the time, and that they get it right every single time? If I were in the orientation and mobility instructing field, I would never allow my students to use SeeingEyeGPS. Not now, not ever, until something drastically changes. Anyone looking for a good GPS app, get BlindSquare, and Google maps. You'll never go wrong.

Wow! What a great app! I love your work. And I appreciate all the hard work that you do to make this available to us. I don't have a problem paying the price you have set. It's well worth it. The application works flawlessly. Well thought out, well put together, great feedback, I love the look around feature just point your phone. The whole thing is just incredibly well done. Thanks and congratulations to all of you at Sendero group For all your hard work.

Can't wait for more Improvements to the app

This is a very, very, very good one point zero release. SeeingEyeGPS works very well. The price of SeeingEyeGPS is great, it is compairible to mainstream GPS subscription price points, and it is fully accessible to the blind. The days of using three apps to walk down the street are now gone. Congratulations to the Sendero team for a job well done

Too expensive for what it does.

I don't have a problem with developers making some money, but $10 per month or $70 per year for rather basic GPS functionality? Other blind-specific navigation apps are just as good - if not better, and are less expensive.
Otherwise, SeeingEyeGPS works fine. I like the simplicity and feel it does its job. There needs to be unique features to justify the subscription cost.
I would urge others to look elsewhere for cheaper alternatives that do an equal job for far less.

By

Useless

Maybe I just expect too much. I thought paying $70 for an application would mean it's a treat app - from a name I know and trusted. I am legally blind, so I have some eye sight - enough to know I could not see the map and I should not zoom in. Then,I tried finding a POI. It consistently missed the local grocery store and wanted to send me 30 miles away. I could not cancel a search for a POI. I could not save a POI or route. I could not do the main thing that is important to me -- identify those intersections with cut curbs and traffic lights. It may be good for telling me where I am, but it is not good for telling me where I beed to go.

Easy and accessible

Finally, we don't have to run to or three apps to get full GPS accessibility
Great first version am looking forward to more improvements

Sendero has a long history of GPS accessibility So we can expect even more improvement over time and the addition of several new features have occurred within the first year

Not pleased with the pricing structure

I'm not sure exactly what it is, but something about this particular subscription model bothers me. Part of it is the subscription price itself. I think this particular application would be more accessible to more users with a monthly subscription that would cost around $10 per month. That way, your bottom line is still the same without making accessibility cost prohibitive to blind Users.

Awesome start

Very nice job on SeeingEyeGPS . I am pleased with the accessibility of everything. It's definitely better than the original Sendero app for the iPhone. It gives you much more information and being able to plan routes is nice.

The couple things that would be really nice to see you in the future are

Virtual navigation
The ability to create your own points of interest
And the ability to save points of interest that you frequently use.

Great job Sendero and seeing eye. Keep up the great work.

Nice job Sendero

SeeingEyeGPS just works! Simple to use, a nice blend of voice over, sound effects and wav files to keep me in the know of my nearby pois, upcoming intersections and route turns!
I love the look around feature for pois and intersections. Easy to create either a pedestrian or vehicle route and the getting warmer route is really cool. Shake to repeat the location screens where am I info or next turn in a route is a great feature!
I can't wait to see what you come up with next!
Thanks Sendero, you did it again.

Latest version is great. Pois work much better! Great job
