Once you make it through all the levels you can create and solve your own problems. AlgebraTouch is fairly good for easy practice problems, but it didn’t really make me have to think of how to solve the problem. The “Help” button was not always so helpful, because the program simplifies everything and doesn’t explain the reasoning or steps for solving the problem.

I had issues deciding how many stars. Design wise, it’s simple and gorgeous. It isn’t overcomplicated for the user. Leveraged touch screen beautifully.

It’s just too basic to have Algebra in the title. It does what it does well. But it’s just equation manipulation. It’s incredibly important to have this down, and can help you learn what all the terms actually mean in practice. But that’s chapter 1 of Algebra. After that you hit inequalities and four million notations and graphing and understand functions and AlgebraTouch is done.

If you are having issues simpflyibg equations, don’t understand “gemdas” or “pemdas” than this is a good app. But you quickly will move past this in algebra.

AlgebraTouch needs to be balanced with an actual pencil and paper by the part of the user. It is awesome for instilling a sense of understanding. However, AlgebraTouch won't let you actually fail. Failure is important to probe ones understanding. I wish there was more. I'm a 40 something that has a 5 year old. I sucked at math and recall there being no one at home that could help or even instill enthusiasm. I don't want to perpetuate that cycle with my kid. I love AlgebraTouch for getting me motivated toward understanding and enthusiasm toward the language of mathematics. 4 stars only because I want more.

AlgebraTouch helps break down the steps to doing the equations. However, I wish that it would explain why; why a certain order, why some things can't be compounded or reduced or separated. It's great to get you used to the movements. It automatically solves the numbers so it doesn't really help you in that aspect. I'll definitely keep using it but perhaps a little differently than it was intended.

Okay if you hate math, you’d think you should stay away from AlgebraTouch as far away as possible. But AlgebraTouch makes algebra easier and I’m not a person that just loves everything haded to them, no, no, no, if I say I love then it must be true. I wish I had AlgebraTouch when I was doing algebra and now my teacher decides to have us get it? Pfft, anyway if you don’t get math this is the right app for you!😉

I never write reviews, but AlgebraTouch deserves one. One of the best, creative, and user-friendliest tools ever. I can say that I was going into algebra without any recollection of my limited education on the subject and voila AlgebraTouch alone has proven to be the best methods I've ever used to actually learn something and master it. All this in little to no time. It truly helps you to visually and manually grasps these types of mathematical concepts. Props and a big thank you!

I’m a senior citizen who has not done algebra in 50 years. To see and touch while you figure out answers makes this application a fantastic tool to use. The problem is finished only when you get the correct answer. And, it allows for more than one solution. This application is among the best of the best. Get it for your self and your kids.

it’s been many years since i studied mathematics and I have alway wanted to get a refresher AlgebraTouch has made learning so easy and fun. Wish AlgebraTouch would have been around back then wouldn’t have had to work so hard at math
Hope they come out with the next several levels maybe al the way thru graph theory

What I’ve done to learn algebra is I write out the problem on paper and then solve it on paper and then use AlgebraTouch to check my work. I received my ged in nov 2007, took the axcuplacer and scored a 39, downloaded AlgebraTouch played around for 3 days here and there bout 8 hours total and scored a 81 on the accuplacer, so all in all pretty good app. Kept me entertained. Totally worth the 3 bucks!

Very intuitive. The touch interface is very smooth. I would love to see AlgebraTouch combined with an app that can read math from pictures. It might make for quick calculations and save time plugging numbers into a calculator but still allow for quick manipulation of equations. I’ll be keeping an eye on this dev.

Have been using it with my 7th Gr son for 2 months - he got hooked by AlgebraTouch. He was struggling with this topics at school. Now he had been challenging me creating his own math problems on AlgebraTouch. Easy to choose /switch topics and navigate. You guys need create the same with percentage /ration/ fractions - will be very helpful

AlgebraTouch is great! I am using it to refresh Algebra concepts that I learned in high school many years ago. It has definitely boosted my confidence level by generating Algebra problems on demand for extra practice.

AlgebraTouch helped me rebuild a good foundation.

ANYONE learning algebra will benefit from AlgebraTouch. Having a pencil and paper handy will be good. But it’s the way it trains your brain to learn the logical next steps that benefits the user. Great app, because it’s intuitive. Even a few minutes a day will improve your skills in algebra.

AlgebraTouch is so approachable I am using it to introduce my 7-year-old to solving equations. Very well done! All students new to algebra will benefit tremendously from AlgebraTouch. I was a math tutor for many years and AlgebraTouch would have made a great way to review concepts in a visual fun way.
