I use this to monitor our church services during praise and worship. It has been very helpful in determining hot spots in our sanctuary as well as tune or room with correct speaker arrangement. This them allowed us to eliminate or greatly reduce the hot spots in our sanctuary. A more consistent sound level prevents the desire to just pump music at a higher level. Higher decibels doesn't improve sound it just makes the problem worse. I would suggest Decibel for anyone needing a highly accurate this app meter.

Thank you for Decibel. I was looking for something that could give me a general idea of the sound dB ranges in different locations. Since I only needed a general range for this project I looked for a free or low cost app. It worked better than I expected a phone app would be able to.

I absolutely hate applications that are free to download but when you want to use them you can’t. Decibel is like that. You can’t even get a basic reading. Instead Decibel requires that you subscribe for a whopping 40 dollars a month. Good God! That is insane. I immediately deleted Decibel and decided the developer’s unethical click bait deserved a poor review

It doesn’t seem to do anything without a subscription. I used it for about 2 minutes and then deleted it. If it needs a subscription to function, it should say that in an obvious place.

This is not free it is in fact very expensive and won’t let you do anything. This developer is unethically misrepresenting their app. All while fishing for good reviews. I wouldn’t trust a word. DELETED IT IMMEDIATELY.

Decibel does not allow you even one measurement. All you can do is upgrade to the pro version for 399 per week.
