I really like the idea of ChangeRoots . I thought it was gonna be a place to find news articles that are nonpartisan, but I still like the concept where you “donate” to the politician based on what they said instead of what their party is. I think it would be helpful if their political party and their name was hidden from the user until they respond, so the user has to decide whether or not to donate to them solely based on what they said. Also, I had some trouble with doing this, bc ChangeRoots kept crashing when I would try to respond to the prompts. Love the idea though!

The “silent majority” needs to weigh in here and now — our politicians are all buffoons and — because we let them — follow policies that are obviously bad for the earth. How cool is it that we can now vote — actually vote — on a variety of issues with one dollar? What would you do if you are a politician: do the wrong thing for a political contribution of $25,000 or respond to 15,000 actual voters who with their $1 on this app said do the right thing? THIS IS A GAME CHANGER!!

ChangeRoots is incredibly user-friendly and helpful. It consolidates a lot of information in an easy to use format and allows you to compare various candidates policies. It also helps put quotes in context instead of focusing on blowing up headlines for media attention. I have been craving something like this for a long time, I think it will help me stay informed by providing real time, unbiased information.

A truly unique way to easily access helpful and thoughtful information about politicians and take action all on the same platform. You can not only get involved in a way that tends to count most ($), but also quickly get up to speed; the content seems high quality, concise, neutral, and gives a nice snapshot key issues and stances.

A much needed app in todays society, where media bias can skew political opinions. ChangeRoots allows you to read up on different candidates from all parties and shows you the original source, leaving it up to you to form your own opinions!

The ability to be able to micro donations and make an actual difference is a major plus as well! Highly recommend!

this app has done the impossible by inspiring me to make donations, albeit small, to candidates and elected representatives of a political party that I have long loathed. I’ll admit that for the past decade I have entrenched myself so deeply in my political beliefs that I refused to entertain any dissenting opinions. Not anymore. Toxic partisanship threatens to consume and destroy our democracy from within. this app may be the cure for we’ve been waiting.

The most frustrating part of political news is wondering what the context is for all of the back and forth conversations politicians have. Change Roots puts all of that in context in a pretty clear way. Definitely recommend using it to understand the candidates.

I love this new user friendly app that allows users to stay on top of whatever political views are going on. It is so hard to stay on top of what each politicians views are and ChangeRoots lays each idea out so well. I love it and can’t wait to follow this years campaign along on ChangeRoots .

Update: Love the additions of Reps and Senators! I've had difficulty making my pledge recently for an unknown reason. Not sure what's wrong with the payment system.

I'd like it if you added in state and even local level politicians. I love the See Context part and the ease of donating based upon specific quotes.

this app is a terrific app that fills a major gap for many by creating a safe space to explore political ideology, engage with the ideas/issues politicians stand for, and to have difficult but productive conversations. In a time of extreme polarization and civic disengagement, this app provides a much needed and refreshing alternative.

I have been searching for a way to get deeper into politics that differs from the traditional “watch the news and argue with each other” route. This company and app have really gotten me stoked to get more involved, not only in political knowledge but in making an actual impact!!

I’ve been looking for an easier way to access insights into politicians without the overwhelming bias of all media outlets. I can easily see where a politician stands on an issue, support politicians that are unbiased in their opinion, and stay informed.

Really cool concept. I love how detailed all the notes are. I feel like I am more informed on both sides of an issue which feels good to know when I’m using my money to make change. Highly recommend to try it out.

I feel more and more like donating to a politician is the only way to get heard and these folks nailed it. Somehow they also made it fun (?!?) to learn about politicians views on key topics. Well done; I’ll be using this moving forward.

ChangeRoots gets me info that makes it easy to understand whats going on in politics. I’ve learned a ton from the updates and ways to invest in candidates wisely.
