Yet another disappointing product from Microsoft. The this app App only let’s you classify expenses as ‘business’ or ‘personal.’ If you have multiple businesses, or multiple clients to allocate expenses to, Spend is useless. All expenses will be grouped together as ‘business’ leaving you no way to allocate the expenses to one of your several businesses or clients.
I can tell Microsoft spent a lot of time on the UI, but they are clueless about the ‘UC’ - use case. How could they have developed Spend this far (it looks so pretty!) and not have any idea that users would want more granularity and to be able to allocate expenses to different businesses or clients that the same card is used for?
Also - this app is incompatible with Yahoo! mail. I can’t make this stuff up. I’ve used hundreds of apps with my Yahoo! email address. Only this app can not be used with the Yahoo! email platform. Bizarre.
Download and use BizXpensTrkr instead. It’s super-granular, and allows for the use of Yahoo! email addresses.

I use Microsoft Invoicing for my business because it’s better than QuickBooks for me. I would love to use this for my expenses and quit Quickbooks altogether however it says network error everywhere in Spend . I can’t connect my bank or do anything with Spend at all. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling numerous times and restarting my phone. Nothing works. I will definitely keep checking back and update my review and rating accordingly.

I really want this to work as I love the MileIQ app but this app is currently unusable. I am not able to attach receipts and when I try and write notes I consistently get a network error. Also, it would be nice to be able to capture the receipt immediately within Spend , instead of in photos and searching for it later. Spend has a lot of potential but not sure why it’s even available in current state.

I do not receive any of the emails sent by the application, like the reports it generates. Support says it’s an issue they are “investigating”, but it has been weeks now with no solutions. Having an issue take this long makes me very nervous about trusting it with my data.

I've been sitting here for over an hour trying to sign up, everyone I enter my email address and password andclick to send link to verify it just clocks, I even powered off my phone, powered it back on and tried several times and it just clocks. Please help....thank you

I’d love to see something like this to compete with Expensify, but there are a few “quirks” that need addressed.
-I can’t fill out information and add a receipt picture at the same time. If I fill it out and switch to picture mode, it wipes out what I just input. The workflow needs improvement.
-when taking the receipt picture, I can’t really see what is going to be the full picture. A full screen interface would aid that.
-a clear save/submit button when creating a receipt would help immensely
- while I appreciate having the classification of business vs personal, I’m mostly doing for business. Seems to not fit the natural use case
- building/creating reports to associate expenses to is a must. A default of monthly doesn’t work when multiple trips/projects are ongoing. The tagging system is helpful but only a consolation.
- there doesn’t seem to be a clear way to mark mileage which is a surprise given the company history. Building a receipt based on miles or (even better) on map/route would be wonderful
- ultimate integration with office 365 to catch meeting/travel receipts/reservations would be killer.

Love the idea of Spend. Would work even better if I were able to pull it up on my office computer as well. I’d also like to see what I’ve entered into business or personal without scrolling through everything. Needs business and personal tabs. Would like to scroll through my pictures easier when looking for receipt photos. Also every time I select a photo it adds an extra more blurry one of the same photo. Not sure if this is a glitch or not. The concept of Spend is on track just needs some modifications and tweaking to be a 5 star app.

The creators of this app does some promising things with their app as a follow up to MileIQ. However there are basic features that somehow don’t make sense. For example, to take a picture of a receipt, there is a very small portion of the screen being utilized. This makes the functionality almost worthless. Also, there is no OCR in Spend . With time perhaps they build another great app.

using Euro isn’t available , if we can make the default currency is Euro as example and in each expenses change the factor according to exchange rate at the time of expenses.
Additional point has pop up with me is custom report can’t be adjusted from exact day to exact day unfortunately only from month to month

App does not work with Office 365/Azure AD. Seeing a Microsoft app that refuses to work with Microsoft’s flagship identity services is incredibly disappointing and totally frustrating. It’s not surprising though, as this seems to be how Microsoft handles software releases these days: feature incomplete, forever beta, and perpetually “working tirelessly on fixing showstopper issues”.

I have monthly recurring expenses for my business that I would like to be able to auto categorize and have them automatically put on my business expense. I haven’t found out a way to do this or if this is even available in Spend . I know the sister app “MileIQ” allows this. Since most of my swipes are for the same purchases or expenses each month, this would make my life a lot easier.
Overall, good app. Saves me a lot of time with receipts.

Was able to go thru the main company website to get a free account set up, then was able to login to Spend with no trouble.
Been trying to set up an account and it says to click the link in the email but it never sent one. Even checked spam/junk folder. Nothing at all...

Overall very good. Seems to lack a search or go to function. Also not importing from photos app pictures of receipts. Otherwise simple.

This by far Best app for putting together a budget or just categorizing things you use on a daily basis so that at the end of the year you’re not scattered. I have tried several different apps and this one is so easy to use! Also so far I’m not being asked to this app anymore in app purchases at all so far all the free that comes with it is been good enough for me!
