It has potential

I really like the concept of this game and I think it has a lot of potential to be something great in the future and that is why I am giving five stars. I only think they need to add some more things into the game but at the same time I don't want them to make the game more complex (it's not complex) because I really like some games to stay simple b/c if they add stuff to it it ruins the game. I like the game and think it could be good in some time.

Ok game, with big flaws

At first it was fun, but everything seems arbitrary, and the lack of a support contact within ColorStacks means my complaint goes here. Hopefully it is read and fixed.

Frequently ColorStacks finishes a move I'm in the process of making, almost instantly ending the game. Also, there are times when ColorStacks will fill almost all the available spaces, but leave one space surrounded by blue tiles, so ColorStacks waits for my move, but I can't make a move. Broken logic here.

Fun but needs some work

The game tutorial needs some work. It was confusing to learn how to play. Once I understood it, I was in the middle of my best game when I ran out of moves-- I had just cleared my last stack and no more stacks dropped. I didn't have any other option but to lose my score and position in the game.

Great idea; needs some work

It has potential; a serious problem is that the interface is very slow / the screen is slow to respond to touch, which makes the exercise of knocking the squares out in time well nigh impossible. The ads are another issue -- if the game worked better I might consider paying the $2.99 to remove them...

Great game.

Deeper than it appears at first. Need to play moves to keep board clear and stay out of sticky situations. Ads aren't annoying. Will stay on my phone a while.

Aye yi yi

Umm.. well, I like the colors, and I get the concept but like.. it gets boring fast....and you can't go diagonal which is weird. But this game could be getting a full 5 stars if maybe you can improve it just a little bit.. but to be nice, I'll give it 3 stars!!

Enjoyable game but

Something needs to be done about it's registering moved. Quite often it will not easily detect where I want the tiles to fall, resulting in stacks not completely expanded.
Quite frustrating at times.

Bad game😡

The game crashes every time I open it. I haven't even played it yet cause it won't work. I've deleted it and re-downloaded it, and I know it isn't my device because every other app works. I do not recommend getting.

Color stacks

Love the game. But the stupid ads after every game is not very good. They only last about 3 seconds then you have to tap the arrow then tap the x to get back to your game. Not good but game is great

Eh.

It's pretty boring, and I barely understand how the game works after a few rounds of playing.

Interesting puzzle game

Really cool game

Nah

This games controls are horrible. Waste of download definitely going to delete.

Great idea but...

This game wasn't easy to interact with, and the lack of ease of use impacted my desire to play. I deleted it 4 min after I downloaded.

More depth than at first play

The mechanics of this endless puzzle game feel familiar if not trite at first, but are in fact, quite unique. Through the first couple of plays it feels mostly random, and sometimes hopeless. Most of your success and failure feels as though it is due to the chance of a tile being placed in the wrong spot. However this is not the case. The player can do some creative things to get out in a pinch by playing the 2 stacks and the 4 stacks off each other. Also, the next set of stacks is directly related to how you played the previous stack(took me forever to figure that out), the only thing random about the game is where the stacks will drop (not how many of each will drop). The combo effect that allows you to gain an extra move adds another strategy element, and paces the game nicely.

My one complaint about the game is that it is a bit difficult to understand the purpose of some of the graphics. I’m still fairly uncertain what the spinning block on the bottom of the play board signifies, my guess is that it happens when you get the extra turn combo. Also, there’s no explicit instruction as to what the color of a stack means, however it is not difficult to catch on if you play a few games.

From what I can tell, the game is now relatively bug free. I read some older reviews complaining about getting stuck or something, but I have yet to encounter this issue.

EDIT: I did encounter one bug—I’ve found that It’s possible to clear the board entirely and receive the extra turn bonus in one move. This leaves a blank board, no actions, and no new stacks dropping. Although you really have to be trying to get this bug, and quite frankly I see it as a win screen.

BUG DETAILS {If you have a single 1 stack on the board and nothing else, and if a 3 stack drops next to it—then, if you make a 2x2 of blue squares by dragging out the 3 stack, it is guaranteed that either a 4 stack or two 2 stacks will drop. If two 2 stacks drop inline with the 2x2 of blue squares, you can make two consecutive rows of four blue squares by dragging out the 2 stacks, each of which will grant you an extra turn, meaning you will be given an extra move after you clear the board. This leaves you stuck.}

Overall it’s a great game, but you need to figure it out on your own for the most part. An optional tutorial describing each element and mechanic of the game would make it much more approachable to mobile gamers.

Worst
