Too simple.

Usually, I would appreciate a simple concept app for sending future texts. But not today. SMSScheduler isn't bad, but it doesn't quite do the job. I don't mind that it sends you a reminder to send the text (vs automatically sending it itself), but I really wish it would offer an alert sound when the reminder pops up. I personally don't check my phone every other minute - which is why I downloaded SMSScheduler in the first place. Also, as others have mentioned, if you're on the phone when the alert pops up, it disappears immediately, offering no further reminders.

For someone who actually needs a clear reminder to send a text, SMSScheduler doesn't quite cut it.

This IS the free scheduled SMS your looking for!

If you are looking to schedule text messages for free without jail breaking your phone SMSScheduler is it! It's easy and straight forward to use. If you can text you can use this. This does not automatically send the message! But cmon don't be a complete anti social robot communicating with other people. When the reminder goes off you can view it and it takes you to a new SMS message with your scheduled message text typed out and the scheduled contact already selected. YOU JUST HIT SEND! You can even edit the message if necessary. And to top it off it's free.

No copy and paste...

I understand that SMSScheduler only reminds you to send a text. I prepared a really long text message and, first of all, it very difficult to hit the 'schedule' button because apparently there is no scrolling feature for longer messages, causing the schedule button to be on top of the text. Second, there is no copy and past feature to copy the message? I am going to have to manually retype the message... So all SMSScheduler does essentially is give me a reminder? I can do that with the reminders app!

Brilliant

I've only had SMSScheduler for 2 minutes and I'm already writing a positive review. SMSScheduler works as closely as possible to my original wishes. I wanted an app that would schedule send a message automatically, however, there's none available on SMSScheduler Store. So this is our best bet. It allows you to schedule messages, however it requires you to confirm by pressing send. The cool thing is that you can edit the text.

Could be better

I would like to give SMSScheduler a good review however I’m not able to send the message through SMSScheduler without me confirming and that is a little out of the way also when the notification comes up if you don’t reply to that message in the notification thing you have to reschedule the entire iMessage with kind of the feats the purpose so I hope they work on my phone so far I haven’t found a perfect app

Great Addition

This has been a great addition to my business toolbox. So helpful to schedule my messages when at the top of my mind, mostly it seems, at the wee hours of the morning. At first I didn't understand how to send when I missed the reminder alerts. Played around and discovered before uninstalling that you simply have to slide the message in SMSScheduler for options. Thanks developers!!!

Needs a little work

I like the idea of SMSScheduler and after reading everyone’s suggestions I think those would be great to add to SMSScheduler . However I was looking for an app that could text the same person every morning every day. I don’t want to have to remember to text every morning and was looking for a repeat button as if scheduling a calendar appointment and I didn’t want to have to program each days reminder.

Automatic sending

I would like there to be a feature of setting up text messages and it sending automatically at the scheduled time rather than having to stumble across the alert later and realize that you never hit send and it then the message gets sent waaaay later than even scheduled.

Good App

Love the price. $2.99 for pro. Nice not to have reoccurring fee like other apps. Would give 4 stars if app could allow scheduled messages to be sent earlier if needed. If notification missed app does not allow you to send, message has to be rescheduled. Would give 5 stars if app sent sms message automatically at scheduled time, rather than prompting. Would be great to have choice to prompt or auto send.

Ehhh it’s ok (2.5 stars really)

Add more to ‘Pro’
• I enjoy SMSScheduler because it utilizes my current phone number and doesn’t sent messages from an outside source.

•I purchased the ‘Pro’ version but I don’t think that I am seeing any of the perks. I can only schedule texts for 1 day at a time. I wish I could have repetitive scheduling. I would like to send a text everyday which is the reason I purchased the pro. Heck I still see adds.

•Also, I wish SMSScheduler would link to your messages and auto send and have the notification as a confirmation that it sent.

Evil

SMSScheduler is evil because if you minimize and change screens for a quick second while you are in the middle of drafting a text, and then go back to SMSScheduler , it erases everything you’ve written and you lose the entire message.
Poor functionality in many ways. If you’re not staring at your phone at the time it’s scheduled to be sent, it won’t get sent because you have to watch for the notification.

Does exactly as promised

SMSScheduler allows you to prepare a message in advance and then SENDS YOU a reminder to send the message. If you want an app that sends the message for you then you're involving a third party vendor and a can of worms that I don't want to deal with, so THANK YOU for SMSScheduler! It works just fine for me!

Notification only works when you're looking at the screen

There is no sound to notify you when the screen is not turned on & if you don't see it fast enough, the notification disappears! The website doesn't even have a place to contact them for help. My sound is on for notifications in my general settings menu & notifications are "on" for SMSScheduler, yet nothing.

Improvement

App would be awesome if it allowed you to schedule a message and then repeat on certain dates until stopped. May be an issue with phone operating system that doesnt allow this feature. I have employees and i wanted to text a reminder to them once a week. In order to do this for a year i have to schedule 52 text instead of scheduling one text to be resent every week

Awesome scheduler (little bug)

I love using this to schedule texts to send later. My biggest issue right now is that SMSScheduler crashes when I try to use my contacts list. I've worked around it by copying the needed phone numbers, but it's not desired. Other than that, I like SMSScheduler!

Very helpful!

My husband tends to forget just about everything. Use SMSScheduler to send him scheduled reminders to help him. Use it for me, too! Super helpful; a great tool for someone with many things to get done and in a timely manner. Helps to keep you on track!

Loving this!

SMSScheduler is great for scheduling out text messages ahead of time! A few tweaks that would be helpful:

• Individual reminders be persistent. Now I get multiple reminder for texts scheduled at the same time, but as soon as I click on one, the rest go away and I have to scroll through all scheduled texts to see what else needs sent.

• Ability to sort/filter scheduled and sent texts by day and person

• Ability to search by date and/or recipient

That was a fail.

I downloaded SMSScheduler for the sole purpose of sending one important text the next morning and was happy to have found it for future texts. I checked today and it said “Not Sent” next to my scheduled text. No explanation to be found as to why. Guess I’ll try a different app next time. You can’t repair hurt feeling from the person that did not receive their encouraging text for state board exams though.

Just needs some tweaks

Great idea but I'd like to see a few changes. The "add contact" feature doesn't let you actually add a contact from your phone, but rather it takes you to your address book to copy and paste the number. I'd also like for the texts to send automatically.

Reminder, not scheduler

What I was looking for was an app that actually sends the message at a set time. The name is deceiving on SMSScheduler. Instead of sending it for you, a reminder pops up with the exact message and contact information so all you have to do is press send.
