FileHub Plus Reviews

Seems in desperate need of a massive update, the File Hub Plus app which is goes with RavPowers File Hub has a lot of potential but falls short in nearly every way. Frequent transfer failures, locks and freezes, archaic user interface, not updated to support HEIF/HEVC File formats, and limited functionality. It can do basic needs primarily stream standard video and photo formats but is crippled by all the issues above. It’s free so has some uses but for what it is, it leaves a lot to be desired.

I’m hoping the feedback is heard and applied soon with an update for even iPhone X support.

Please add search function that searches within folders and between folders.

Finally!! I was looking for something like this. I can transfer files to my external hard drive and view movies, but I tried searching for files and the search function is not working. Please fix. Thanks!

I’m determined to make this thing work for me. I’m transferring photos from my camera with an SD card, to my IPad Pro via my RavPower (model RP-WD009) I have turned on the RAV wifi onto the IPad. When I open FileHubPlus , it says can not connect. I’m going to try turning the wifi on and off and maybe try restarting my computer. I also have a Seagate portable backup drive that I tried connecting.

This device and app work seamlessly for traveling without a laptop. It works perfectly for offloading large video files from SD cards and my iPhone onto external drives and SSD’s. FileHubPlus isn’t glamorous but it has all the tools needed and is dependable which is what matters most to me: function over form!

I bought this to use while I travel but it does not always recognize my external hard drive when it is connected. Some times it works other times it doesn’t. Super frustrating! I was hoping an app update my help but nothing new yet.

Things seem to work good now. Still needs to update for bigger displays. But a move forward with the update.

When I open a folder with hundreds of photos, the sorting is not working at all, no matter by name or time. This makes it very hard to find photos of a certain day or time. All photos are mixed in order. You don't know which photo come next.

With an upgrade to iOS 14 the video function stopped working. Sound but no picture. Apparently the authors have abandoned FileHubPlus and released a new app called RAV Filehub. I downloaded the new app and it seems to work okay. Remember to find FileHubPlus in the settings app and turn on local network. This seems to be a new setting in iOS 14

Please update FileHubPlus to support iPhone X! Otherwise, I enjoy the function of the device and FileHubPlus . Thanks

Very useful. One thing i need to know... why can’t i copy files from ipad/iphone to external storage? Hope to hear from you.

Videos playback is broken. Black screen with audio only. This occurred after iOS 14 update. They haven’t update FileHubPlus in 2 years so I guess they don’t care about their customers or maintaining product quality.....

Don’t buy the RavPower device, this software stopped working after a while. When you try to go to the developer’s site it takes you to a competitor’s device! What a rip-off.

Have loved and heavily used FileHubPlus for years but must have a bug that it keeps crashing with the newer iOS versions. Please fix, I miss my app!!
