Great in theory. Glitches and bugs make the app very frustrating.

Make sure you save as you write, and often. I’ve lost progress SO many times because Padlet will glitch while I’m working (e.g., screen turns completely white, closes suddenly, freezes, etc.), which sometimes even happens on the desktop version. Other times it will take SEVERAL refreshes or retries before a card will actually show the latest version after a save, which has caused me to accidentally save over new versions with old versions on multiple occasions. I should really stop writing/editing text in Padlet directly and just copy/paste from Google docs instead, but I shouldn’t have to do that. There really needs to be a version history feature, a revert to previous draft feature, an autosave feature, or a way to retrieve cards that were deleted in error—because as it is now, once a version is lost, it’s gone forever.

I love Padlet so much in theory. With this many bugs, though (and with my most recent lost save, which I’m still mourning) I’m just not sure I can keep using it.

Doesn’t work properly, customer service is limited

I love this app. But, features are not working properly. I expect to get the features I pay for as this is not an inexpensive app.

I’ve never gotten cover images to work on either desktop or iPad. This should be a simple feature to use. I’ve updated, cleared cache, restarted, reinstalled, etc. After all of that, customer service appeared to have understood my issue as having a gray background- completely ignoring the obvious issue that I sent them along with clearly labeled photos. (This is after a no response to my first inquiry about this issue a week prior.)

Customer service is greatly lacking and this program cannot offer part of what it promises. I love this program, but it isn’t worth the money since they can’t stand behind their work and offer little to no help resolving issues with their product.

Constantly redirecting between browser and app?

I downloaded this app on my iPad to try it out for personal use. Upon opening Padlet , you’re given the “option” to continue as a guest without signing up, but then you have to have a URL or QRcode of a known this app to access I guess? I’m not using it for school purposes, but I don’t like to sign up without even knowing what it is, so I looked for a FAQ to see if it was even going to work for personal use and if it would cost. When I clicked on the FAQ link, it opened in my browser. Ok, fine, whatever. But when I clicked on the individual questions on the browser, it redirected me BACK to Padlet to answer the question?? Honestly I’m willing to give almost anything a shot, but this is pretty bad formatting (and I’m not even that tech savvy for a millennial.) Pretty big turnoff for an app user even though Padlet is probably still functional. You lost me in this one guys.

Perfect App

I was looking for something that would allow a group of people to encourage one another with songs, videos and words during a 21 fast. Padlet has been just wonderful. It gives people the ability to share feelings, add pictures or videos to illustrate a point and then to have others comment. Each post looks like a professionally written article.

My only feedback is that the copy or move feature to post an article from one this app room to another is only working in the internet browser right now and will not work on the iPhone or IPad app.

Wonderful! However...

I absolutely love Padlet! It’s so helpful and you can use it for just about anything! From writing a book to planning a road trip, Padlet can do it all! One of the problems that I have experienced, however, is the difficulty to navigate through Padlet , and being able to view other profiles, others public boards and the ability to share boards with others. As amazing and beautiful as Padlet is, that definitely took a star and a half off the rating. Another small thing is just the lagging. The time it takes to load was mildly offsetting for me, but it wasn’t a big concern of mine. Thank you for Padlet, and I’m excited to see what the future brings for this beautiful app!

Amazing!!!

I am in love with this app!!! It is the most interesting programs/tools that I recently got to know. It is so helpful in so many ways. It basically concentrate information in one place, and also allow me to be linked to external websites/cloud based storage. Of course, as any program, it is always in constant development, but ... I had 0 glitch so far!!!! I also bow down to this business model : the company had 13M in investment, is private and have less than 20 employees !!!!! Go for it, try it!

I love this app but it no longer has one of my favorite features

Padlet is amazing and I love using it when I teach. I also love to store notes on it. Please bring back the ability to resize posts! This was one of my favorite features because I could highlight important items by making them larger and have less important items smaller in the background. I used this feature on the Canvas layout. Please bring back the ability to resize posts!!!

There’s something wrong

This is my favorite note taking app for years, but recently there’s been some sort of bug with the new update I believe. I am unable to make any new posts. When I click the plus sign it only gives me a blank note with no buttons or anything. It is like this on both iPad and iPhone. It still works on desktop, but I hope this issue is fixed.

Great, but one thing...

It’s a great app with many different ways to chat. I would definitely recommend to others. But there is a tiny problem, I am on a this app that is a big chat and whenever I check back up the the chat it makes me scroll all the way to the bottom of it, because it brings to to the very first message from the this app. So sometimes it takes 10 minutes of scrolling to finally see the latest messages. Just a tiny glitch I think, other than that it’s great! ☺️

Needs improvement

The idea is great it’s cool that anybody can post on here and you can see each other‘s posts.
My problem is the mobile app isn’t that great I can’t upload any PDF files. It doesn’t have that option which is just really strange I have to instead screenshot them and save them as images to my gallery. Or airdrop them to my computer and use the computer to upload it it’s very inconvenient and useless for someone who doesn’t have a computer and needs to use it for class also don’t like how I can’t send feedback to the developer directly instead it takes me to a bunch of FAQs none of which pertains to the issue that I’m having

Fine but glitchy

Is Padlet really supposed to be fr school?
I don’t understand the format at all, to start off. I had just got Padlet and like after seven gabillion try’s they finally let me in as a “signed up this app user” and then after that I was like sooooo confused. Someone I know told me about it, so I was sooo confused when I first opened it.
It is sooooo fun to communicate on! This is probably if not the best thing about it. You can do gifs, take vids, or post photos you love. I only really like this feature.
In conclusion, Padlet is semi fine

Would trade all other apps for this one

Padlet is so easy yet powerful. It does so much work for me - like filling in titles and images - and I am extremely productive as a result. The flexibility of layouts is a dream for this visual learner. There is a quote “Organized information is new information “ and I see that in every pallet I create. I will gladly pay for the subscription - worth more to me than most of my software. ❤️❤️❤️

Great in theory

I love the idea of Padlet. All the things you are supposed to be able to do are so cool. But it's not easy to use at all. I have the latest version of iOS and Padlet and the only way to upload photos that I already have in my phone is to go through my photo album, I can't do it from Padlet itself. And there is no way to put them in a specific place in the layout (like a column) that way. It's also ridiculously difficult to tap and hold a post in such a way that it allows you to move it instead of expanding it or opening it in a web browser. Very frustrating and disappointing.

Engaging & Multimodal

I use this app with my high school class on a daily basis! It has become a fantastic way for us to share ideas and work, respond to questions and build community. There are several features and multiple modalities/mediums to use, yet with all if the options it is user friendly and intuitive. My students and I enjoy Padlet! I highly recommend it to any educator.

Never worked—-FIXED!

ORIGINAL REVIEW: “Always got a blank screen after signing in with google account.” I guess the this app folks fixed my problem on the back end. I am using Padlet as a teacher and will update after I check it out.

Pretty okay

I just got this last week because some clubs in my school use this app to share stuff. It’s decent for what it’s meant to do. I have some complaints and an idea

Complaints.
If I don’t open a this app every hour, it goes away from my recents. And, all the padlets I physically “liked” aren’t in the “liked” section of Padlet .
So, basically, I lose the this app and need to go through my e-mails to find the link to the this app just to open it.
Whenever I get a notification, it never takes me to the this app the notification was for. It just takes me to the main page.

Idea.
Have the ability to share more than one picture per post. Just- just that.

So yeah. I’ll still be using it for school and stuff, but not more than I have too. It gets annoying after a while.

Great!

I love this app! It is a great way to express your thought ps and ideas, with the option to do so publicly or privately. I just did this to tell you that there seems to be a quirk. I logged in today, and it would not load, the screen jus turned white. When I tapped it it takes me back to the home page. The same happens to me when a I try to get on the website. I’m sure this is just a bug but just wanted to let you guys know. Thank you for this app!

Can’t make post on iPhone

I downloaded Padlet recently after using the web version with my bible study group to share prayer requests. It worked wonderfully and so I went ahead and got Padlet so I could get notifications about new posts. As others have said, when I tap the “+” to add a post, the box pops up with no way to type. So right now if I want to make a post I have to go over to the web version. Definitely a bug that needs to be fixed.

Great simple way to share

this app is great for simple collaborative sharing of information. It is quite two-dimensional, so don’t expect to be able to set links or content within content when that content is opened. What you see on the screen is as deep as it goes. Also, there are limitations on file sizes that can be loaded. Don’t expect to upload a large PowerPoint into your narrative.
Despite those limitations, this app is a fun way to create lesson or discussion material.

Don’t Remove BackChannel!

Since COVID has started I have used backchannel to chat with my friends now that summer is starting I don’t see my friends anymore this app BackChannel is the only way I can talk to them. It is also helpful for many other things don’t take it away from me and millions of others. BackChannel needs to stay!

EDIT: Happy to here that something replacing BackChannel is coming next year but it still leaves people for a couple of months without it. Can’t wait for the next update depending on how my experience continues I might update my review.

Padlet Perks

I am a middle school teacher who uses this app all day everyday. It’s uses have surpassed those of old age technology but enhanced my google uses as well as information management in this new learning environment! Thank u this app. I’m ready to join your team whenever you need passionate, educated individuals who can help spread the word in sharing all the varied ways this app enhances learning and modern curricula.
Sincerely,
Tracy Pompei

Fix. Your. App.

Padlet is absolutely useless, when using the little plus sign at the bottom, it is completely unclear where the box will show up, if at all. The editing is extremely clunky, and many times you have to click the edit button multiple times for it to work or it just won’t work at all! Who knows! Guess it wants to work when it wants to. Some app, very very very helpful! (That was sarcasm if you couldn’t sense it). And on top of that, I have to pay MORE if I want more non-functionally working Padlets. Better stick to Google. At least THEY know what they’re doing.

By

Pretty good, few things need fixing

This is very good for collaborating with other people on projects. The only problem is that it is Kind of hard to get to the main page where all of the padlets are and start working on it. It’s just not the most convenient. I like the website better. Oh and something else, sometimes the posts of other people will show up 3 times.

Padlet is garbage

As a student, I can tell you by first hand experience that Padlet makes a students life harder when it doesn’t need to be. this app constantly fails to upload photos or videos, and when it does load the picture may not even appear. The organization system for this app is also such a pain, for it is so buggy and almost impossible to do on the phone. I implore to all teachers thinking about using Padlet daily think about how the students like will be negatively affected by it .

Students don’t have to sign up!!!

Finally, an online board where students can post without signing in. And it just keeps getting better...

Getting better and better

I love the new app update, it fixed a lot of issues and streamlined the content to be easier and faster to use!

Old Review:
Thank you guys for fixing a bunch of issues in this update! I really appreciate the response and initiative, it's a lot more than other developers give.

This update fixed the uploading problem and I am able to actually post everything you are supposed to be able to post!

I'm very much looking forward to more updates :) I hope to see this app reach all of its potential!

I can’t describe.

I’m speechless about this!
It all started in school...
We were on the computer doing a quiz on the website. I loved this and said they must have an app!
According to my senses, I was right.
