Receipts - Expense Tracker Reviews

I used Receipts frequently during a 6-day business trip. It's simple but very flexible so I paid the $10 to save more than 10 this app. I have experienced one troublesome bug: Receipts deleted several receipt images, although I may have misunderstood the 'edit' interface? (Either way, not good.) One additional bug: Receipts crashes when exporting large report to email (although there are many export options and I have found a work-around). Receipts does handle PDF imports now. All-in-all a useful app.

Receipts is great for making my weekly expense report easy. Reporting to shared cloud drives makes saving data easy and syncing between multiple iOS devices means I can enter on whatever I have in my hand. I never misplace a receipt when I have them all stored in my phone.

I have been using Receipts for several years and the support has always been excellent.

This might be a great App, buts it's not what I wanted. I'm a confirmed Evernote user and their description in Receipts Store led me to believe its works with Evernote . It will only send a report to Evernote, which is no use to me

I was looking for an app to track expenses and income from a small side business. This only allows you to track 10 this app before needing to pay for the upgrade. Useless.

Poor excuse for an app. No support. Lost years of data. Don't buy this crap.

I hesitated to get the latest version, because upgrades can be a hassle. I finally broke down because the new version had features I wanted. the upgrade through iTunes went smoothly and in a few minutes I had all of my data in the new program, complete with features I needed.

the best feature of this program is being able to create new categories and being able to take out a percentage of income so it auto calculates my SAG dues for me. there are a few great perks to this program and if you need something it does not have, contact support and chances are you can do it with this program.

in the past when I needed help doing things, tidal pool support responded promptly and quickly, and while I was relying on that in case things did not go smoothly, it was unnecessary. my accountant loves me as I now submit quarterly reports to him without delay, and I never feel stressed doing taxes and this app any more. great program, great company, great support.

p.s. all of donnyn’s reviews are negative. he has nothing good to say about any program, and has nothing constructive to say about fixing any of them. just saying’….

I purchased a $10 version of Receipts about two years ago. It was a 3.06 version. It constantly crashed whenever i needed to export my data. It never updated to any other versions. I wrote to the developers and they advised me to get upgraded from 4.6 version to a paid (!) version of 5.06. But i am on 3.06!!! They said that version is no good anymore and i need to start over by buying a 5.06 version. Never mind that i had already paid $10 and that i had two years worth of data that i couldn't save. I will never rely on some app again to save my data. Excel spreadsheet is the way to go. If you are thinking of buying 5.06 version in hopes it won't crash - i wouldn't recommend that. These guys already have another version scheduled to come out and all of you on 5.06 will have to pay again most likely.

I liked this program and foreceipts, however foreceipts only kept a very low resolution copy of the picture I take so for long this app I could not read all the details.

Additionally I wanted something I could sync to my google drive since the syncing services of other receipt managers were unreliable at best.

I feel like this program has a little bit of clutter (features I will not use and wish I could remove) but so far seems the most reliable with the best syncing. I would highly recommend.

Looked at a lot and went to this software. It really should be called Expense Record because this app is only the tiniest part of its capabilities. You can create you own forms and add fields; create expense reports; select which fields show in a report; have your report fields show in a different order than on your forms; export your reports in Excel, PDF, CSV formats plus others and much, much more. All if this takes place on your mobile device. Email your reports to your company or yourself for submission.

It is a keeper!!

Support is fast and ongoing.

I use Receipts every time I travel. It makes expense reporting so easy. At the end of the trip I can send myself an itemized excel spreadsheet with all my expenses. You can setup custom categories for your own companies expense categories. So convenient. I love the ability to take a photo of a receipt and link it to the expense. I no longer need to worry about losing this app or the hassle of scanning them in when I return to the office.

I have found this to be a huge time saver. As a self employed person, I have to keep track of almost everything I spend money on. The minute I get a new receipt, I add it to my files and take a picture. Receipts tallies everything and keeps the pic, so I can dispose of all those little pieces of paper. Upgrading to the latest software when I got an iPhone 6 was tough, but I finally got it worked out. So glad cause it's a useful app!

I'm not an accountant and quickbooks intimidated me. So when I delved into Receipts, I was in heaven. I have organized and categorized all my expenses for the year with this so easily. It creates very useful reports and I love that it imports to so many different avenues for ease of backup. In app purchase is $10. It is soooo worth it if you are not a math person but need to keep track of expenses and income.

The thing I like best about this is, because it's on my iPhone, I can enter my this app right at point of sale, snap a picture of the receipt and then forget about it! Then let it do it's magic in organizing and spit out great reports! I've never been this organized! Receipts makes me look good! It literally took the stress out of nightmare Expense Reports!

Looks like I'm not the only one who got ripped off when I upgraded to this version. I had previously paid for I passed version and it worked great, and then with the upgrade it lost all of my information, so I had to rewrite in hundreds of this app for my 2014 tax year. And of course, now I have to pay $10 if I want to upgrade. I'm just making my own Excel spreadsheet's and saying screw it to this developer

I've been using this for years and it helps me with tax time on rent houses as well as personal finances. Would like to see more filter options :)

I absolutely love Receipts!!!! I am so glad I purchased the $10 upgrade. I am more conscience of my spending and where my money is going.

App support wanted me to purchase the pro version twice because it wouldn't work with the new iOS updates. They wouldn't issue a credit, and they wouldn't offer anything else. "Just pay the $10 again" is what they said.

Don't buy if you ever plan on updating iOS.

I love the way this works. What I don't love is how they don't mention you're only allowed to add 10 this app before they cut you off and make you buy it for $10 if you want to keep using it.

I would have paid $10 for it, but I don't like being mislead.

When I upgraded to I OS 8+ my previously purchased this app pro was not supported. I had to export everything into spreadsheets. I downloaded the new this app app. I THEN had to repurchase for $9.99 the this app pro to enter more than 10 this app. It would not recognize my previous purchase.

I got Receipts maybe 5-6 years ago and it’s amazing! After paying I think $10 to get unlimited this app, I’ve used it religiously ever since. It has a really stable camera for taking pictures, and lets you categorize your this app in a really nice way to be able to find them. You can also keep track of incoming money as well, and track your information and spending over time (although I don’t really do that because I don’t put paycheck info and bills stuff in it, so it wouldn’t be accurate). I’ve customized my categories and icons so I can sort them really well, like “Clothing”, “Clothing- costume”, “Clothing -work”, etc. Everytime I’m shopping with someone and they see me take a picture of my this app I tell them about Receipts because it helped me get a better sense of how I’m spending money- it keeps me accountable.
