Modern Fertility Cycle Tracker Reviews

I have yet to have a good experience with Modern Fertility and I’m very confused as to why there’s so much hype around this brand. From the moment I ordered my fertility test I encountered issues. The first issue was the purchase confirmation email didnt include any details about what I ordered or paid. My employer reimburses employees for fertility treatments and such so I needed to be able to send them a receipt. When o reached out for support I was met with nothing but incompetence and it took weeks to get what I asked for, which was simple receipt! Now my order doesn’t even show up in my account and I didn’t bother following up about that because trying to get a response from someone takes so long that it’s not even worth the wait.

Another issue I’m having with ModernFertilityCycleTracker is I wasn’t able to select the correct start date for my cycle because the calendar was cut off. I emailed and texted for assistance, asking them to adjust it, but it’s been nearly a week and no response. How am I to even rely on ModernFertilityCycleTracker to accurately track my flow and other things when I’m not even able to enter in my data correctly? Also really annoying that it’s not adjustable in ModernFertilityCycleTracker . I shouldn’t have to reach out about simple stuff like this. Overall I’m very underwhelmed with this brand and won’t buy anything else from them and I’m deleting ModernFertilityCycleTracker.

The MF app is super easy to use and beautiful design - not cluttered with ads and content like the other period trackers out there. I like that it’s focused instead of including unnecessary things like community forums etc. However, it could use a few additions to really be the *only* app I need to track my cycle:
- i wish you could log notes in addition to LH surges / period / sex days (i want to be able to input period and ovulation symptoms like mucus tracking)
- the scanner is so sensitive to light i usually have to manually add my ovulation test, even on a white background and bright lighting
- i wish it would auto adjust my period cycle now that I’ve been using it for months and it knows that i ovulate on day 19! It keeps showing my most fertile days as day 13/14 based on a standard cycle and that’s no accurate for me. Even if i could manually adjust it would be helpful.

I am very impressed with ModernFertilityCycleTracker! I am 32 and I have not had issues getting pregnant however I have been pregnant accidentally because I didn’t understand how everything worked. ModernFertilityCycleTracker helped my learn to understand my cycle and gave me some insight into my own body. I never realized how amazing and complex women are! ModernFertilityCycleTracker makes me feel in control like whenever I’m ready to get pregnant I will be able to do it no problem! In the community support inside ModernFertilityCycleTracker is incredible! The other women are very supportive knowledgeable and easy to talk to. If you’re thinking about trying ModernFertilityCycleTracker I would definitely recommend it whether trying to get pregnant or just trying to get to know your body.

I really hopes this goes well. I’ve transferred from my Apple health app to this one! ModernFertilityCycleTracker is so secure and organized honestly! I love how they have an option of connecting with other women, I’m trying it out. If I don’t like it, I can always withdraw - and that’s what I like about it the most. && the fact they’ll ship items over without shipping fees!! That’s so helpful to us mothers and mothers to be. It’s like a market, a mini Facebook, a cycle and fertility tracker... and I love their subtitles, they are so cute and funny.

Seems very legit and I support it, especially with women in science!!!!

I would highly recommend this to any woman interested, and I don’t easily give 5 stars - okay!.

I got trapped by the numerous ads on Instagram so I decided to give this a try after unsuccessfully TTC. I’ve had such a hard time getting the camera to focus on the lines, especially that close. It gets blurry and then my hard is unstable that close to the strip.

When it does read the strip, I don’t think it’s very accurate. I tested three times in one day because the line was getting significantly darker- I was definitely at my peak in the middle of the day. ModernFertilityCycleTracker said it was at 25, so I rescanned 2 more times. Then it finally read 40.

At times I’ve had to manually input my LH levels, which defeats the purpose of ModernFertilityCycleTracker tracker and the MF branded strips. Also, there’s no place to put notes or add symptoms. Going back to my Flo period tracker and just writing it manually. (Been using a dry-erase marker on the top of my toilet to mark the dates/times, super handy!)

I like ModernFertilityCycleTracker and the ovulation strips are easy to use. Though it would’ve been nice to have been provided a cup... just saying, hunting through my kitchen for a cup to dedicate as my “pee” cup... mmmm not so much.
It’s relatively basic as far as tracker apps go, you can log actions, no symptoms. I do like that you can go back and look at the ovulation chart and calendar. I like that I can scan my strips in with my phone and when it’s not trying to push products it gives little tips and facts which I like as well.
What I don’t like is that it uses my cycle to sell me products, like “hey! You could be pregnant if you did it right you should buy our pregnancy tests!” Which feels crappy when you’re in you’re two week wait ttc and the last thing you want is product shoved in your face.

Okay. I heard great things about ModernFertilityCycleTracker and how the strips were super helpful. At first I was deflated and disappointed because I wasn’t sure if these worked for me and I basically had a flat line bc I have irregular cycles, which makes everything harder. Anyways, day 85 of a never ending cycle and feeling like I’ll never ovulate and that these strips aren’t for the irregular cyclers who just came off an IUD and are waiting to be “normal”… I had a hunch and voila. Finally caught an LH surge. So my point is: try the strips, track in ModernFertilityCycleTracker , make friends in the community, be patient, and also listen to your body.

I really like ModernFertilityCycleTracker - simple, aesthetically pleasing, doesn’t overwhelm with unnecessary stuff, and offers products that compliment the use case.

There are two things it really lacks to me:

1. ModernFertilityCycleTracker claims to “track my whole period” but is missing some key things that help me make sense of my cycle and body on the “log” page - mostly tracking sleep disruption, body temp, and mucus. I love seeing that stuff tracked to get a sense of the whole picture of what my body’s up to and since I’m not trying to get pregnant, cycle and symptom tracking are really the main draw to ModernFertilityCycleTracker for me. Could be an easy add that would keep me from moving back to the Apple Health app since that’s more comprehensive.

2. Speaking of Apple health - integrated functionality with that app would be HUGE. Probably a big ask, I know, but if the Modern Fertility app could at least input data into the Apple health app, I wouldn’t have to input everything twice.

Overall, great app for really doing one thing - trying to get pregnant and using Modern Fertility’s whole system. If you’re not, Apple health or one of the other apps might work better for you.

I got ModernFertilityCycleTracker and tests for my first round of tracking last month. It pretty much showed my Lh as zero and my surge was a 10-according to their test and scale. Which is very low. ModernFertilityCycleTracker is awful at scanning the test- I always have to do it manually, even when there is a line ModernFertilityCycleTracker reads it as a 0. It’ll also say “perfect” and I don’t move and less than a second later it’ll say “move closer-too close” today I tried for a few minutes without ModernFertilityCycleTracker being able to scan the test. I don’t understand how their scale is so different than other tests scales. I have now used another test and this test at the same time to compare and this will give me a reading of 0 and the other test a reading of Lh being 24. This is incredibly frustrating when trying to plan.

I use ModernFertilityCycleTracker with two other fertility charting Apps as I think it’s fun to compare what each one says about dates. I probably wouldn’t use if it weren’t for the LH Surge strips.

The one thing I would improve about ModernFertilityCycleTracker is the UI on the calendar. The color scheme could stand to be revised. The fertile week is charted as a reddish orange and period week is charted as blue. This is so confusing at a glance because reddish should mean blood and light blue more resembles ovulation discharge. This isn’t a 90’s maxi pad commercial- periods are red not blue. I’m surprised no one pointed this out to the designer? I hope this feedback helps!

I do like the cute little sayings when it saves things :) .

It’s so hard to read the test strips for ovulation so I’m depending on ModernFertilityCycleTracker but ModernFertilityCycleTracker does not read the strips it takes like thirty mins for it to register it keeps saying the room not bright enough and I have all the light in the world it keep sayin your not close enough or too close it takes forever for you to find a spot for it to register it’s so tedious and I hate it I wish it could easily scan test so I don’t spend so much time trying to get accurate readings
Also the ovulation test strips the purple shades are too close to each other I can’t tell whether I’m surgin or not I scan with ModernFertilityCycleTracker twice for one strip and it always read a different number smh for instance today it read 65 surge and then I tried again it read 15 no surge si what am I to believe 😩

I’m a young professional who isn’t yet ready to start thinking about kids, but I want to be prepared for if/when that changes. The Modern Fertility app is the easiest period tracker I’ve tried and I’m now learning about my ovulation calendar- something I’ve never even known much about. So excited to keep using this and trying out their hormone test to learn even more about my fertility. I’m excited to be ready for whatever life steps come up with the information I gain about my body from ModernFertilityCycleTracker!

Oh I ordered the motor for testing packageWhich is for the value about $200 and I ordered it over six months ago and they said it came and I never came to my address and so I asked them and they responded to me so they’ve mailed me another one and then another one never came in and same day and then when you came and they just stopped responding back to my messages like I’ll pay for the package again but can I get a discount like half price or something I’ve obviously you can see I never sent the results back I’m just trying to educate the rules by supplying my test results and get a little insight myselfOh I ordered the ovulating strips prior to the situation and I received the package and everything was fine good service but this time around I’m very disappointed

I got ModernFertilityCycleTracker to use in conjunction with the ovulation strips. I’m skeptical of the other reviews being legitimate since they are all pretty much worded the same and talk about the same benefits. Plus ModernFertilityCycleTracker just came out and there hasn’t been time to use it on a month by month basis like some of the users are claiming. Real people don’t talk this way.
Anyway, there’s no way ModernFertilityCycleTracker is accurately reading the ovulation strips. You have to put your phone so close to the strip it’s fuzzy and almost unrecognizable in terms of actual color. The color of the actual strip shows you are in the dark pink region, but your phone is reading a 0. Other than it being a calendar, ModernFertilityCycleTracker seems kind of worthless. I can log sexual activity and periods in my google calendar. The design is clean, but generally not impressed.

ModernFertilityCycleTracker has been pretty helpful with tracking for getting pregnant. However I wish they would link your test results into ModernFertilityCycleTracker so you can view them there as well. Also wish there were more options for logging things like cervical mucus, medications, etc. I switch between ModernFertilityCycleTracker and Ovia currently since I can’t track more in Ovia. I don’t need a ton of bells and whistles but a little more info would be nice. Also I wish the Calendar view was set up differently where you could click on a date and it would show the info below vs having to go into the day to remember what you put.

I’m unsure since I haven’t gotten into any of the other logs but I do wish that for the period logs every time you went in to log your flow it would log it separately. Because sometimes I’ll have a really light flow in the morning and by the afternoon it’s heavy and then sometimes medium by the night or sometimes it’s just heavy all the time. That’s my only concern though I love ModernFertilityCycleTracker and all the different pieces there are to understanding the cycles and hormones and fertility knowledge!!! 💕

I ordered the ovulation test trips because I thought it would be nice to use ModernFertilityCycleTracker and scan the strip to track LH levels. I upgraded ModernFertilityCycleTracker and can no longer get it to auto-log. It keeps telling me to move the camera closer, hold it over the strip. Exactly what I’m doing. It’s so bad I want to throw my phone against the wall. I texted their support line and was told, “The reason we updated ModernFertilityCycleTracker is actually because we are on the cusp of releasing new Ovulation strips. The new app / strips are designed to work much better together.”

I received the current box of stops less than two weeks ago and had used 2 before MF upgraded ModernFertilityCycleTracker and made the old strips obsolete. BEFORE the new strips were even released.

I am beyond frustrated.

I like ModernFertilityCycleTracker personally but it’s getting to the point where I can’t really use it. My fertile window is never at the time ModernFertilityCycleTracker predicts other than the first month I used it. I find this annoying given that the whole point is for ModernFertilityCycleTracker to accurately predict cycles and it is not doing that. The tests aren’t great either. My entire box of ovulation tests seemed to have something wrong with them. Not displaying lines, inconclusive results, taking over 5-10 minutes to display anything, etc. This makes predicting my fertile window even harder. Wouldn’t recommend but it was nice in the first month.

I really loved ModernFertilityCycleTracker for tracking my cycle, however, the last four months it has become unreliable. The ovulation test strips have changed, my older ones (which have not expired) don’t work. The newer one never catch my LH sure, and seem to continually miss calculate the pink line. It always pops up as 1, or 5 when the purple line is clearly much darker. I’ve been using their App, ovulation, pregnancy, and hormone testing for two years. I’m not sure if the decline is due to Ro acquiring Modern Fertility or not. I’ll be trying a more cost friendly method, such as easy home in the future.

I have been using ModernFertilityCycleTracker for 2 months now and I consistently struggle with ModernFertilityCycleTracker being able to read the ovulation strip. It is very difficult to get a good reading, as it will keep telling you to place your phone directly over the strip, even when it already is. I am using other apps to track my ovulation as well to compare what the apps say, and it is extremely easy to get a reading compared to ModernFertilityCycleTracker. There is also no place to enter my Basal Body Temperature, which is also commonly used to help track. The community feature is nice, but not enough to keep me using ModernFertilityCycleTracker .

I recently went off birth control and have been using Modern Fertility to track and understand my cycle. What makes ModernFertilityCycleTracker different from other apps is that the focus is on ovulation and understanding your ovulation even if you have an irregular cycle or PCOS. You do need to buy Modern Fertility’s ovulation strips, which are $16 , to see your ovulation graph (other strips won’t work with ModernFertilityCycleTracker ). With ModernFertilityCycleTracker and the modern fertility ovulation strips, I’m finding ModernFertilityCycleTracker ’s recommendations to be the most trustworthy compared to other apps I’ve tried. Their strips are semi quant, telling you a more exact LH reading which is helpful when you are approaching your two most fertile days. I like being able to see my LH surge and get reminders of when I should test for pregnancy.

I really love ModernFertilityCycleTracker for a few reasons: it doesn’t overwhelm me with things to track, it has really sleek design, and it doesn’t automatically pigeon hole me as straight, partnered, or TTC (which many do).

The only reason I gave it four stars is because there was a little trial and error when I first started scanning ovulation tests. Now that I’ve gotten the hang of it, it’s super easy.

Highly recommend ModernFertilityCycleTracker — even if you’re not sure about having kids yet, like me.

I’ve tried a lot of ovulation tracking apps that made my eyes bleed from ads, all the bells and whistles and terrible colors. This is such a refreshing change. Simple, clean, easy to use, no distractions but the info I need without stressing me out. Plus I thought the camera scan function for the Ovulation Tests were super cool. Not sure if it works on non-Modern Fertility ovulation tests but those are what I had and they worked great!

I am recently married and am 34. Me and my husband want to have kids, just not right now. I was nervous that the time was clicking but then I came across modern fertility. I now have a full understanding of my body and don’t feel rushed. I use ModernFertilityCycleTracker to track not only my period but understand my fertile days AND when is the best time to take a pregnancy test when we start trying.

Thank you for fixing the calendar! It’s a beautifully designed app!

Thank you for coming out with an app that makes tracking my LH surge and cycle SO EASY! The ovulation strip scanning feature is everything. I also really appreciate the modern and fun design. I’ve been pretty stressed about trying to conceive and I honestly feel more confident having this tool in my pocket. I would recommend to anyone trying or just interested in their cycle.

Okay so my husband and I have been trying religiously for a year and a half.. then this month I came upon the Modern Fertility LH strips in Walmart.. I gave it a shot and BAM WERE PREGNANT. FIRST TRY WITH THIS COMPANY. I am beyond impressed. I had an OBGYN tell me that “women ALWAYS ovulate 14 DAYS after a period, no sooner no later”... welp Modern Fertility’s LH strips bold faced proved him WRONG. Apparently I was ovulating A WEEK LATER than the quack calculated. I’m flat out impressed. And excited !!!!

As much as I love learning more about my body and cycle, it can be very overwhelming and forgotten. Since adding the modern fertility app to my life, I find myself being diligent logging and it also being super easy!! ModernFertilityCycleTracker is user friendly and straight forward. I love it and appreciate those who made it accessible to me!

Love ModernFertilityCycleTracker! The simplicity it provides when keeping track of periods and ovulation is such a relief compared to other apps I’ve used.

So excited Modern Fertility has added this beautiful cycle tracker to their growing suite of products, and I love having the convenient access to their FAQ’s and other key information as I learn more about my LH spikes, TTC and general fertility cycle.

Time to delete ALL the other apps, I’ve found THE ONE! I love how clean ModernFertilityCycleTracker is while all of the other apps have constant pop-up ads and have so many buttons - seriously so many buttons. Excited to try the ovulation calculator and see my LH surge, ordering the tests today and will report back.

ModernFertilityCycleTracker is an easy way to keep track of periods and ovulation! I have an irregular period, so started using this to try to figure out what was going on. decided to use this with the MF strips, so I can see whether or not I'm ovulating. I'm not trying to get pregnant so it's VERY refreshing to not have to see baby or mama written all over this.

I like that ModernFertilityCycleTracker is simple and easy to use! I would definitely recommend it purely on the fact it’s uncomplicated like other apps I have used. And you can go back in the calendar to transfer past records into ModernFertilityCycleTracker to keep all your data in one place.

I’ve had other cycle trackers before, and ModernFertilityCycleTracker is easier to use and gives me the tracking details I’m looking for. I like seeing my period and ovulation details all in one place. It’s easy to track everyday and get a prediction of my cycle days in the calendar.
