Add-Ons Studio for Minecraft Reviews

AddOnsStudio is fairly useful and usually works pretty well, but urgently needs an update because, as of now, all you can do is edit the (sometimes outdated) textures of SOME (but not all) mobs with a set of basic tools that lack an eraser. AddOnsStudio could become so much better if it received at least one update (preferably soon because the description of AddOnsStudio has said that it will update “in the near future” for over a year now). In other words, AddOnsStudio could really use some work and a few major updates, but has great potential and would (and hopefully will) be worth the money in the future when/if an update arrives. Overall, I gave AddOnsStudio four stars because of it’s potential but, if you left out the potential part and the fact that it MIGHT receive an update later, I would not hesitate at all to give it two stars. I would recommend to wait to buy AddOnsStudio after it has received at least one update, if it ever really will, to make sure that is was worth the money you payed for it.

Wow. AddOnsStudio DID just receive a very useful update except that it doesn’t work at all. Please fix this. You can’t possibly edit anything except for the icon for your add-on and its name anymore. It seems pretty unstable.

The reason why I downloaded AddOnsStudio was because I wanted to retexture the squid. But there’s no squid. Another reason is because I also wanted to retexture the villagers. It has all the different color villagers, But it doesn’t have all the professions. Example: there are more then 1 different type of white coat villagers. 1 of them is a librarian, another one is a cartographer. You have the librarian but I wanted to retexture the cartographer. You don’t have the cartographer. Also it would be cool if we could make the pixels glow like the endermen’s eyes. It would also be cool if you could change the background. Background options: the end, the nether, and a bunch of different biomes. Also in skins you can put a second layer on them to make it look like some parts stick out, it would be cool if we can do that to mobs too. Sorry this was long.

First of all AddOnsStudio has amazing potential and could score like MSS if AddOnsStudio had an eraser that set the pixel back to the original pixel of the mob and not a black one like MSS (this applies for both.) Also AddOnsStudio needs mobs like the wolf or dog, and if it’s possible could you possibly make it to where all the villagers can be the same by option? I’m trying to make a prison pack with the villagers as prisoners and it’s a simple design but there are several villagers and it takes forever. Next we need a search bar for the packs, I have to scroll forever and ever to find certain packs. I suggest that AddOnsStudio has the system like MSS but just on mobs, then this could be a definite 5 star app.

I BOUGHT AddOnsStudio thinking it would be what I was looking for… which it lacks a lot of basic things needed if they wanted money for it. There are few mobs you can edit which is why I got AddOnsStudio . There is no erase tool, no bucket tool, and it’s pretty hard to use colors when you can only use one at a time without having to remember the hex# of whatever color you want. I have found a way easier way to make custom skins that was free while AddOnsStudio costs money and offers less for harder work. If I could get a refund I would, because this is annoying. It is only what, 5 bucks? I think I should be payed 5 bucks to use AddOnsStudio because of how difficult and annoying it is to use. Either make AddOnsStudio worth it or don’t make it at all

I like this a lot because I can add my own creations into the game, but there are quite a few problems.
1. There is no eraser. This is annoying because I want to make a rat out of the silver fish, but you can’t erase all the little hairs so the rat looks really fluffy.
2. It shows that I have an update for blocks but whenever I try to update it it says there was a failure.
3. Is really like some more tools. Like paint bucket, undo, redo, copy, and paste.
There are some issues but over all I like it. It’s just annoying that it says coming soon to so many features yet I’ve been waiting for around a year.

Ok so rotating is kind of weird and it won’t let me go to the community it just kicks me out of AddOnsStudio ! It lacks a eraser tool and I think you should hold more than one paint color also I’m really confused on how to export this to my Minecraft and overall it’s not worth the money there are not even most of the mobs there 😒 every time I update it keeps saying FAIL! Maybe I’ll understand if IT WHERE FREE but it’s not... also I’m to afraid to erase AddOnsStudio and redownload it because it cost meh 🥖 I’m mostly bummed about the lack of mobs and community and add simplicity to export to Minecraft. PLEASE fix your pricly game it would be a zero star or a one but I added 2 for potential and I’m not THAT toxic

AddOnsStudio works great, given that it is 1.0 and that there are still bugs that need to be fixed (i.e. invisible villagers, customizable heads for zombies & skeletons not appearing, etc) If anyone from your team is reading this comment, could you please tell me when the next update will be released? TIA!

[EDIT] Well, you released the update, but now the mechanics are much worse because now more things aren’t working and the original problems that have been specified are unchanged. Please fix AddOnsStudio. I see potential and I don’t want to get rid of AddOnsStudio. But if the issues aren’t truly fixed, consider this as a warning to the people who are considering AddOnsStudio.

So I definitely love it. But one problem...whenever I make a mistake I can't undo or erase it like I do in MSS. Which is a problem. Also, can you make it a little easier to move it around and stuff? Like you can still have the touch-active movement but like can u add tapping on a part and editing it? Like MSS. I also would like to have zooming in. Makes it easier for close zoom. Ik this is new and so it still has some work, but I might as well help make it a better app w/ this review. Anyways I really hope u implement these things in the future!

It doesn’t work! I go to create one by tapping the edit entities, but then it sent me back to the screen before I tap the list and so when I do it it doesn’t do anything. Capital I think something it’s broken and you guys really need to update it now! So when I get asked to create some kind of animal it doesn’t work for me does it work for any of you guys cause I haven’t really read your views, this is driving me crazy and then when I go on the start screen it does nothing. So I advise that anyone that gets us this I think you should check the reviews because I should’ve I should’ve listen to mom and she told me the reviews are bad but I didn’t. Do it now! Minecraft creator, you have failed.

I love the idea of making up your own texture pack I really do but what the heck? I can't control the paint! Every time I color it ends up on the other end and on some you can't even color unless it wants to! I don't know about other people but if you put something with mistakes up for 3 dollars you better ether fix it as soon as you can or don't pit it up for 3 dollars! You can buy it but I can't promise you'll have the same difficulty as me but I bet there's going to be at least one. I'm not trying to be mean but I'm 13. I have to ask my parents for apps! Which makes this situation even more difficult!😡😤👎

This is a awesome app but whenever I try to click custom entities or pack options nothing happens. And for anyone who wants to know how to upload it , this way is easier. When you click export choose ICloud Drive. Then go into iCloud Drive and click on it , then click the square with a arrow , and click on minecraft. It will take you to minecraft and your pack should start loading. After it loads then go or make a minecraft world and go to resource packs and you will see it there.

For 1: I love how you made a texture maker app for Minecraft but why can't you texture items,? I know it takes a wile to make an app but I thought that would make AddOnsStudio way better, consider it.
Secondly: why can't you just make it like a Minecraft skin instead of adding pixels on top of it, I think it's way harder and I know it's possible. Please consider that as well... overall it's a great app and I hope you have took the time to read this comment.

Ok so I really wanted to change the looks of some of my mobs and this was the most promising one. So I went and bought it and tried it out. I made my own pack and then went to put it on minecraft and my poor villagers that I had edited were only shadows. I tried out other mobs and they worked just fine but MAH VILLAGERS!!!!!! They're broken!!! Can anyone tell me how to fix that? Besides that problem AddOnsStudio worked great and I look forward to using it more in the future.

When I bought AddOnsStudio I was excited at first. But then not so much. The idea is great and all but making a custom entity isn't as easy as making your own skin in MSS. For example, creating a skin in MSS is much easier because of the variety of editing tools. Such as the undo and redo options, the different body part sections, the fill in button, etc. I know AddOnsStudio is new and it still needs improvements. But all I'm asking is to please make creating easier.

First of all, when I am editing something like a chickens legs, I cannot erase ANY mistakes and I ALWAYS have to restart the design on it. It really pisses me off. And don’t say to eye-drop the blank color and then use it with the pen tool because I tried that and it DOES NOT WORK. Please consider updating this application so that it is more useful. Maybe then you will get better reviews. After all, most of us did pay 2.99 like I did, hoping for a good app.

I just downloaded AddOnsStudio and it looked awesome 😎. Then when I tried to edit a mob it did not work, ephemeral I tapped on it so I could edit it it did nothing. 😢! One more thing Is that even if it let me I could not edit wolves into dogs because there is no dogs. Please add in wolves! Other than that AddOnsStudio is great! It allows you to make your own mobs! I would still definitely recommend downloading AddOnsStudio. It was still worth my money! Please fix though!

I really enjoy AddOnsStudio. But while working on it and playing Minecraft with the add ons I realized 2 problems. When you edit the villagers they just come up fully black no matter what Color you make them. I also realized that when you try to color in the monsters face and upload it to Minecraft PE then the face isn't colored in. The rest of the body is colored but the face isn't. Could you please fix those 2 problems?

i go AddOnsStudio a couple of years ago and i started to make a pack then sort of forgot about it. i get the idea to make a pack (today) and i revisit AddOnsStudio . i make my pack icon just fine but when it came to editing entities i ran into a problem. no matter what i did when i clicked the little plus sign and chose an animal, it would just send me back to the screen i had began on. AddOnsStudio basically wasn’t allowing me to use its main feature. i have tried everything to get it to work but to no avail. i’ve been looking for other apps to use but i can’t find any. oh and also when i went to go back and check the pack i had started a couple of years ago, i wasn’t able to edit any other entities either. in conclusion, don’t get AddOnsStudio it’s a waist until it’s fixed. -slightly aggravated user

I was excited when I downloaded AddOnsStudio , and I know it's a new app and all, but I was pretty disappointed when I used it. There are certain parts of mobs that don't seem to color in, but it turns out the color just ended up somewhere else on the mob. There definitely needs an eraser, and a button to go backward and forward. It's still new, so I get that not everything is perfect. Also can anyone explain how to transfer the packs to Minecraft pe?

AddOnsStudio is a great app no joke but it needs more work there is not an eraser which is essential in this type of app and There should be a bar that stores your color so you don’t have to toggle back and forth in the color select there also needs to be a mob update you need mobs such as the Parrot, the Fox, and The Bat. It Would be nice if you could have an undo button as well. I Would recommend AddOnsStudio to a Skilled Person who wont mess up and won’t have to trash the mob after one measly mistake
