Only change request

MedicationReminderRefills is extremely easy to use and very handy to have. The only thing I would like to add would be a section for medical history, of both the individual and their family history. Such as diseases that run in the family and who had them. This and a way to send the info to another person in case of emergencies, such as the emergency room or paramedic or fire Dept. Not sure if sending the info is feasible but a notes page for family medical history would be perfect. I would gladly pay double for MedicationReminderRefills with that added. I paid for the multiple option because I keep track of a lot of elderly family members and it’s tough to keep all the info straight. MedicationReminderRefills is fantastic! There are no glitches and it doesn’t freeze up. It’s great! Thank you!

Looks great and it is exactly what I need BUT 1 small thing drives me crazy

I love MedicationReminderRefills and use it every day BUT it drives me crazy that the screen that loads on launch is a list of my doctors/scripts and not the actual prescription reminders screen that I’m trying to mark as taken. This should be the load screen as it use it multiple times a day. I add née doctors/prescriptions maybe once a year so why is that the first thing I see every day? I can’t be the only one with this issue.

Also, it’s annoying that when I mark my notification as completed, it makes a sound even when my phone is on mute.

Missing photos

When I first started using MedicationReminderRefills I took pictures for each Rx. The next app update, all my pictures were gone. I thought, ok, fine I’ll retake them. MedicationReminderRefills updated again today and again the pictures are gone. App developer, please fix this, I’m tired of retaking pictures. I have also found that the Rx count isn’t accurate. I religiously use MedicationReminderRefills and when I get low, the remaining count in MedicationReminderRefills is not the same remaining in the Rx bottle. It’s not that the Rx count is off since I count the pills when I get them since each pill is expensive so a few missing is not acceptable. So process of elimination, MedicationReminderRefills isn’t depleting the total remaining correctly.

Great app!

Love the graphics and the ease of use. Reminders are also extremely helpful. Small nitpick: Some “scripts” don’t require a physician entry (reminder to take a multivitamin, for example) but there’s no way around designating one. That said, stumbled across the promo and am really happy I did. After sitting with it, find it’s worth paying for. Also, multiple ways to set notifications and reminders. Super useful if your days get busy and you need a little nudge. It’s like having a personal assistant in your pocket. Highly recommend.

Great App to help manage Doctors and prescriptions

Overall it is great and does exactly what is expected with a simple interface. A couple of tweaks I see that could be helpful.
1. Allow notes on the medications or a field for the prescription number, pharmacy contact info, etc... or maybe you could add pharmacies similarly to physicians, in case the user has multiple pharmacies to juggle.
2 A Prescription refill reminder would be helpful.

Overall great concept

There are a couple of things that I wish it would do differently. One of the things is to allow to import an image from the camera roll. I cannot get the camera to focus on the medication for the image. The other thing is to be able to edit the patient for the script. I realized I had added a couple of Rx under my profile and they were supposed to be for another family member. So I couldn’t change that and had to start over. Otherwise it’s a great concept and hope there are some updates soon.

Limited

I don’t understand why my only choices for hourly reminders is 1,2,3 or four hours. The daily choices are once or twice a day. You should be able to choose any number of hours. I take a pill every 6 hours and MedicationReminderRefills is useless to remind me to take that pill. I’m pretty disappointed.

Changed from 3 to five stars because developer showed me that it was possible to set an alarm for 4 times a day. Thanks for
your help!

Potential

I heard about this about this past year. It wouldn’t work well on my phone and kept crashing. I would retry every few months and voila, it finally worked. However, having a difficult time getting the alerts to work and reactivating a prescription. I’ve tried
re-adding, but still no sound alerts. I wish there were instructions somewhere. I take many remedies throughout the day and would love to hear the lovely sound of those alert reminders. Great potential if I could just figure it out.

Would be 5* if updated to current times.

The only thing missing is syncing between devices, but that’s pretty huge considering that most people have at least 1 phone and 1 tablet these days. I’m not going to manually input my prescriptions on all of my iOS devices and manually verify that I have taken my medications on each one. I’m sure you are aware of this need and are already working on it, just letting you know that users are also aware of the missing functionality.

That’s the One!

I liked the fact that MedicationReminderRefills is covering what a medication reminder app should has!!

Growth area:
1. I believe the camera option is not working properly for the medications and patients.
2. I was confused how to set a reminder for a medication 3 times a day till I knew how to do that, generally speaking I believe the UX needs to be either more intuitive or sorta guides should be around.

A good app, does what it says

This has been a dependable app that does its job of reminding me of my Rx times and doses. A very simple app to use. One request, please make it harder to move active Rx file to inactive once set up, I have done this by accident twice just by swiping the wrong way. Overall it has been very useful thus far. Four and a half stars!! 👍

Perfect Medication Companion

Reminds you to take your meds on customizable schedules. Keeps track of you medication supply and reminds you when it’s time to get refills, BEFORE you run out. Keeps track of prescribing doctors, pharmacy, and list all your prescriptions including doses and strengths. Also reminds you of follow up appointments.

Missing option for meds via patch, notification didn’t show up

Had to substitute “lotion” for patch. Also, maybe make it so it’s not so easy to archive meds?

Update: the notification never went off for a med today until I opened MedicationReminderRefills .

Waste of time & effort . Worthless

I went through the laborious process of adding all 10 my medications, including dosage and time of day. The first day was great, I checked off each dose and was pleased.
Day 2...it tells me I have no medications due this day. Same for tomorrow, and tomorrow, and...
If I wanted to input the name and dosage of each pill every single day, I would just use a notepad. I was hoping for something that would remember what I’m taking from day to day.
A pointless, worthless waste of time.

Helpful

I’ve just started using this. How to set the reminders and times isn’t as clear as it might be, but the developer contacted me with suggestions and I think I have figured out where I went wrong, lol. I think it is going to help me remember the supplements I am taking. Thank you for MedicationReminderRefills.

Works Great

I didn’t review for awhile so I could see how well it worked. I haven’t put all meds on it but just the ones that were time sensitive. My wife only put two. But this keeps us in good shape by reminding us it’s time to take our meds. So far It’s been just what we needed.

Lots of potential to be perfect for me....

But unfortunately deleted all of my info when I tried to uninstall and reinstall MedicationReminderRefills (which I had to do because app suddenly started repeatedly crashing on me). Apparently there is no back up to iCloud, and no way to export and then import back in your personal history from MedicationReminderRefills . This just makes it unusable for me. Happy to change rating if app ever fixes that problem.

Thumbs up

App is working great. I was able to add the whole family. Wish there was a spot to add allergies. Also wish there was a little better choice for med times. Sometimes need a med every four, six, or twelve hours, which you don’t have the choice of. Other than that, great.

Great app

I’ve been using MedicationReminderRefills for a while now, and it really helped me keep track of my medication, I owe a lot of where I am today to it. However, it would’ve been great if MedicationReminderRefills had a tab with a calendar to make sure that you haven’t missed a day.

Apps gone free offer

I downloaded MedicationReminderRefills when the apps gone free offered the premium version at no cost. I tried to use it right away, but each time I would try to enter a medication it would disappear and go back to the initial entry screen. I tried to use it again a couple weeks later and, with the same results. I will update MedicationReminderRefills review if this is resolved.
