Rips has a firework animation that plays everytime you win a Rare or better. It also has where you can change the odds(volatility) to “MAX” for example where each spin has a 90% to be a common(worst) card or a 10% to be a grail(best) card. There is also a chance to get a bonus card. The fireworks only display on a bonus card if there is a winning card between the two. What happened the other day though was I had it on MAX, hit a bonus card, got the fire work animation but neither card was a grail card. Which if my settings are on MAX the only options should be common or grail, especially if you’re going to hype me up with the fireworks making me think I won. Customers services did nothing but claim the bonus card value is not relevant to the volatility setting - which even if that were true, it doesn’t make sense to have it that way, and why make it where the fireworks displayed if I didn’t even get a good card. I’m assuming it was a “bug” but rather than making it right I got the run around so here I am telling my experience. I’ve spent a lot of money on this website over the past few months and am disappointed with a few things besides this but this issue was the cherry on top.
Edit: pretty sure they rigged my account to lose after posting this bad review. Deleting Rips for good. I’ve ripped over 5k packs too so their loss
Been playing for like 6 weeks Rips it was going good I hit and i would lose normal with gambling but the odds felt fair because at times I go 7 to 10 hits and nothing and after the recent update I went 33 pulls and nothing and what’s up with the firework on the max odds for the double like bro max odds and fireworks equal grail but then you get a double at max odds and fireworks you get nothing but garbage already 5 of my friends quit and they were throwing thosands at the game these guys were hitting that 1000 pack like if it was a 1$ pack because they love Pokémon and they got a few cards ordered to them but again after the update the odds went to nothing so they just quit they said they rather spend the money on packs the only reason they like Rips is because the cards come graded and it beats the hassle of having to grade send them out and wait months to get them back but idk man Rips is doomed to fail if it keeps going this way me personally I didn’t mind throwing money at Rips because it felt fair and since it felt fair I didn’t mind losing money I’m ok with losing money aslong as customers are treated well but when you go and screw your customers over with these odds we’ll it makes my wallet tighten up and not want to give anything
The concept is straightforward and the pack-opening experience works fine, but Rips has a serious and apparently intentional flaw: you cannot withdraw your account balance or request card shipments under any circumstances. Every attempt to do either results in links that simply never load — no error, no spinner, nothing. Meanwhile, the deposit and purchase functions work flawlessly every single time.
The vault system compounds the problem. Cards are held for seven days and then repurchased by the platform on their terms if you haven’t acted — which is difficult to do when the action buttons don’t function. You’re left in a loop where money flows in freely but cannot leave by any means, whether as a cash withdrawal or a physical card shipment.
This isn’t a bug. A legitimate platform doesn’t selectively break only the features that send value back to the customer. Until withdrawals and shipments are fully functional and verifiable, I cannot recommend Rips to anyone. One star.
I got Rips super excited to rip packs but in reality it’s not what you expect. First off, I’ve opened 250 packs and haven’t even landed a card worth more than $12. The packs I’ve opened were $1,$5$,10,$25. You have to understand this is completely gambling and quite honestly seems like a bit of a scam. For example, if I open a pack that’s $5 and I actually get a decent card, it’s likely only worth $6-$7 at most which is then followed by 3-4 straight $1 cards. Money dwindles quickly here because it’s not designed for you to win. The odds of you getting a card higher than the value of the pack you buy is allegedly 40%, but I’d love to see the actual stats because in my case it was more like 5-10%. In theory, this seems like a great app and I was honestly super excited about it, but it seems like a scam to me. As long as you’re comfortable gambling here, and more than likely ending up like me and losing, then you’ll enjoy Rips. Otherwise, stay away, you might as well go to a casino and as we all know; the house always wins. Disappointed overall.
1000% habit tracked and can 100% guarantee loss. The game literally sets your pace. It’ll give you a hit knowing you’ll keep going for that next hit and exactly why it pays out more than its value “because it knows you’ll spend it” after your hit you’ll lose it with small hits here and there to keep you playing and why that offer $1 packs. Trust me. Your not special and your not lucky. It’s designed to play like slots and casino habit ran with a twist. Do your self a favor and delete or play 1 time monthly with no more than $20 and expect to lose that $20. I have ripped 1700 packs and I have only lost all the money I spent. Got 1 hit for $102 from a $50 pack of basket ball cards. Then as soon as I put the $50 back in my bank and played the winnings between Pokémon and basket ball it was all gone in about 5 this app. This is all the time. If you have an addictive personality stay away. And Triumph you really need to be transparent about this before people start selling their homes to hope for a $33,000 Pikachu. 1-800-GAMBLER if anyone needs it.
Great app, super fun very addicting! Maybe too addicting..
I have opened thousands of packs on Rips (yes thousands) and you will make some profit if that’s what you’re looking but only when you are a new customer. That is how they get you. Once you continue to open packs for a very long time, your profits will decrease. You will see more and more losses. Don’t believe me? Keep track of your deposits and what you get in return. You will eventually get to a point where you will spend say $250 to eventually be rewarded with a $200 pack. Thats $50 gone. You are almost guaranteed to win a card worth close to what you spent but never a card worth more. But you will find that with every pack, you are in fact only losing money. Which is a shame, I wish it was more random and there wasn’t some algorithm in place that keeps crazy pulls from happening. Enjoy it as it is, but do not expect long term profits in anyway shape or form.
People only looking to profit, stop complaining and leave. Collectors who doesn’t care about value, have at it. It’s basic math for pulls: get something decent, expect terrible pulls next few rounds. Would give 5* but the verification process, I get it, first time was my fault I messed up my address because I thought it was asking for my current residence (I move around because of work.) so it didn’t match my address on my ID. Support took more than 24 hrs to respond to me when I waited my 48 hour on pending verification. Husband was able to verify immediately because his address matched his ID. Support was nice when they finally got around to me. Sent me a new verification link and I’m still currently waiting more than 24 hours (wondering where I messed up this time) and I’m currently waiting hour 20 for support. Very sad I won’t be able to ship the cards I wanted and one I had promised as a gift. I’d personally give people 2 weeks before the card auto sells for a chance at getting people trying to get verified to be verified if it takes DAYS for support to respond. Will update rating once this gets a better system and when my husband’s shipped card arrives. I get it, the hobby is rising but there should also be enough people to support at least hundreds of thousands of people. And I understand the people attempting to make multiple accounts to cheat the system. So I’m sure there’s a lot of greedy people complaining and causing trouble. But waiting excessively, even if the buy back is profitable. I don’t care about the money. I just want to collect pretty cards that will now be gone because how long the waiting is.
Rips is fun, I feel it gives you a certain amount of security in the sense that you have a minimum value on every pull. However even if you pull a gold I find it’s still short when it comes to the value of the pack. In that sense you are at the mercy of a second system that randomly generates a card of that rarity often found to be significantly lower than the max pull for that rarity. However you are still getting a card, there are two main types of people that will play this, money chasers and card enthusiasts. If you are looking to pull cards than this is objectively better than pulling from physical packs. I haven’t gone further than the 50 dollar packs, but can confidently say I’ve lost maybe 3-400 with around 500 packs opened. I did ship a single card as my gf liked it and received it in less than a business week. If your chasing cards play if you’re chasing money it’s a gamble. Truthfully I wish they had a reward system that rewarded you for opening a certain amount of packs. Similar to a casino you kinda want to have a reason to spend money with them. Maybe free packs with bundle purchases or boosters for rarity? Would be a nice touch if you truly want to spend money on the game. As for everyone having issues adding and withdrawing money idk what your talking about, I can transfer in from multiple cards and withdraw easily to a bank account. Add something similar to triumph arcade where I can buy bundles which give me extra money or daily rewards. If that was done id feel more ok with losing my money knowing I have a chance to earn it back tmrw.
So if you open the $1 pack it says a white card you will get a range if $0.01 cards or $1 cards well they almost never give you anything more than a $0.01 energy card. They could at least add some Ex cards or low value promos. Otherwise it’s pretty nice if you open the bigger packs $10 and up are more likely to get good cards. Sometimes it will give you two cards at one but that is also a bit misleading because it says the card minimum on a $25 pack is $8 but if you win two cards it will may give you a card worth $5 and higher with $3 which is uncool. They should give the minimum of $8 per card.
Don’t get me wrong Rips is fun and you can get really great pulls as I pulled a $65 greninja slab from a $10 pack but it can be dangerous and addicting. It does allow you to self exclude for a certain amount of time which is helpful for addicted.
I really like the this app by Triumph app. It’s a great way to get that pack-opening thrill without hunting down physical product or dealing with scalpers. You pick from different Pokémon packs (standard or premium ones with bigger chase potential), rip them digitally, and watch the cards reveal one by one.
What I appreciate most is the flexibility: if you pull some decent hits or cards you don’t want, you can sell them instantly at fair market value and cash out right away (super quick to PayPal, Venmo, bank, etc.). No waiting around. On the flip side, if you actually like the cards you pull, you can have them mailed to you for a short fee/shipping cost. The cards arrive well-packaged and match what you saw on screen – it’s legit.
The interface is simple and fun, the pulls feel exciting (I’ve gotten some nice ones that made the rip worth it), and knowing the cards are real/authenticated takes the stress out of it. It’s addictive in a good way if you pace yourself.
Overall, if you’re into Pokémon TCG and want an easy mix of ripping, collecting, or turning pulls into cash, Rips delivers. Just remember it’s gambling-style entertainment – only spend what you can afford. Highly recommend giving it a try!
Really want to believe in Rips, however I’ve lost thousands of dollars on hopeful ripping. I have over 1700 this app, to include a few $1000 this app, many many $500 and $250 this app, but more often than none I receive a card that’s valued way less than my initial investment. Then you are trying to chase to at least recover some of your money, which then makes you wish you just bought a card flat out at the price invested. There are times you do hit some decent values cards, but out of the many this app I haven’t even come close to hitting a decent grail, not any card valued more than $150 more than initial investment; but then that card might not have a decent PSA rating. I want to believe, I’ve supported Rips, lost a lot of money and don’t have many real high value cards to show for it. Overall, at least the layout is simple and nice, but for now I’m done. Might try the Courtyard app next to see if their this app have better card selections in rated cards, and if it’s any different. Sustain: Keep the layout. Improves: Better card rotation, improve the less risky rip option to where the user hits better; feels like a money pit.
I had Rips for a couple weeks now, spent some money I’m at almost 1900! packs opened (random $1,$5,$10 occasional $25-$100 packs) and NEVER hit a high money “GRAIL” after almost 1900 packs is just a little bonkers to me. I get it they gotta make money to but that stings after all that. That being said tho it’s fun and addicting so be careful. There’s so much potential here with what they could do to improve and add new features like for example a reward system something like open 100 packs total get a free higher value pack? Daily free pack? Something also adding other cards games like Yugioh, dragon ball Z ect would be a fantastic move. They do send REAL graded cards I sent 1 to me and it came before the 11 days they say. But packaging is a little lack luster especially for good value graded cards but overall good app
Updating my review after receiving a batch of cards.
I wish I could add photos to these reviews to show the packaging the cards were shipped in. I can’t, so I’ll say this: the level of care put into the shipping of each card floored me. Raw cards are soft penny sleeved, top loaded, top loader put into one of the clear adhesive sleeves, then put into a custom made cardboard box made to fit the card, then shipped in an appropriately sized bubble envelope. The slabs are shipped the same way.
I’ve paid more for individually purchased near mint cards from TCG Player, and gotten less care & slightly damaged cards. Everything from this app so far has been TRULY NM.
Some other reviews bring up not being able to bulk ship the cards and at first I thought that was dumb. I was wrong. The small shipping charge for each card is totally worth it because of the care involved.
The card buy backs are at good prices if you don’t want to ship them. In total I’ve had 4 slabs and 6 raw cards shipped. A little over $600 in total value. I’ve also cashed out about $200. Honestly I’ve also probably put in about that much as well, maybe a little less. It is a game of chance after all so play responsibly. But the odds can also be adjusted to the level of risk you’d like to take per pull, so in my opinion you can through the law of averages make money consistently on almost every pull while also picking your moments to maybe take a bigger risk.
I’m glad to be an early adopter and look forward to more this app.
I’ve tried a number of apps that sell Pokemon cards and so far these guys have really impressed me. I was really skeptical at first. I really thought it was going to be some kind of rip off, but they’re absolutely legit.
When you purchase a pack you’ll get 1 card but have a chance at getting a second card. I’ve opened over a 100 packs and I’ve gotten at least 10-15 packs that have had a second card in them. Whatever cards you pull, you can choose to either keep and have shipped to you for about $4-$5 or sell back to them.
Shipping only took maybe 5 days. Each card arrives individually packaged with a penny sleeve, inside a top loader, inside a very nice custom protective cardboard box, that is then inside a sealed bubble wrap padded package.
If you choose to sell your cards back to them, unlike almost all the other apps like this out there, these guys actually give you market value for the cards. There’s no hidden taxes or fees either. It goes straight to your wallet and if you want to cash it out, you can absolutely do that and it’s within minutes, if not instantly back into your bank account or Apple wallet. I should add that you do have to verify your identity and information first before you can have anything shipped or before being able to cash out. It only takes a few minutes and once you’re done it’s a piece of cake.
The only negative thing I can say about these guys is that I wish that you could group the cards you’re having shipped to you together. Instead of having to pay shipping for each card individually. However, compared to the completion so far their shipping prices are still much cheaper.
Anyways I never write reviews like this, but I felt like they definitely deserved it!
I’ve always wanted to get hits for cool cards and their designs of something i’ve always grown up with. personally i like to collect even the holofoils or reverse holofoils from the pokémon packs before the actual hit too because i just like the pokémon cards like that! they are also rare but when i got the cards i shipped in the mail today i was in shock it was real!!! i was grateful and now that people have a chance of pulling rares from packs today online rather than scalping all the cards from kids who could get a chance at pokémon this cheered me up! thankful for triumph and the team that’s put this together! makes life easier for the kids to get the experience and the people that want rates or to profit money they could do it here rather than searching for days or months to find certain packs rather than shipping it. i’m old school so i always liked going out like a pokémon trainer to find a POKÉMON!!!!
if you’re grinding for those god-tier pulls, this app by Triumph is Rips that’s straight-up meta-breaking! These amazing cards they drop? Elite-level bangers. We’re talking razor-sharp this app on booster packs, ETBs, and secret rares – Charizard ex, Pikachu VMAX, full arts that hit like a Hyper Beam. Curated by pack gods with odds-crushing intel, sealed stats, and rip histories that turn noobs into rip lords.
But the gambling element? That’s the Legendary that seals the deal! It’s pure rush – bet on rip outcomes, parlay those mystery packs into massive multipliers. I was nestling $1,000 in resale gold. Pulled a PSA 10 rainbow and some chase evos that flipped for bank. Their rip oracle nailed every break, turning lunch money into a Poké-fortune! Seal it with instant cashouts – no holding your shiny hostage. Withdraw hits your PayPal or whatever faster than a Quick Attack, 3% fee I can deal with, total trust. If you’re done with dry packs and ready to rip the vault wide open, grab this app by Triumph. 10/10, gotta catch ’em all… and cash ’em quick. And if you don’t want to sell them, they’ll ship them straight to your doorstep.
Alright. So Rips is definitely to legit too quit. I’ve gotten 5 cards shipped so far. All came beautifully packaged. Ur card is inside a box in the bubble wrap package. I’ve turned $5 into a $146 PSA 10 mew from being a true degenerate. $5 pack turned into a $25 card. I ripped the $25 pack and got the mew 😭 I have gotten rinsed being too greedy and wanting an even better card. So please rip responsibility. All cards are fire. You can turn the odds from normal to high to try and hit a grail. Which is how I did the mew. I haven’t tried cashing out yet but it does look easier than heck. Just remember anything around $600 or more you gotta file a 1099! Way she goes. Anyway. I highly recommend Rips. It has been my favorite pokemon pack ripping experience. I have had the best luck here. Yes it’s all luck again be smart. Don’t be me. I’m a crypto degene so of course I’m spinnin till I’m winning. 10/10 invite friends and get a free $5 pack also they don’t even have to put money in yet to see if they like it.
I have not done the baseball one as I don’t really get into collecting those the Pokémon cards I do however and this is on point with what you can get. I haven’t got a good card yet worth keeping but got good pulls none the less make some loose some if you get greedy and try to rush it.
I give it 5 stars and 10/10 I tried other apps and they have been a joke you get good pulls with $1, all the way to $1000 most of these apps you won’t get a good card unless you drop $100+ for that Rips sets them apart from the rest mad respect for the fairness in the pulls. Withdraws have always been fast and smooth. I don’t like the 7 day vault rule but I get it if you’re not going to ship the card give someone else a chance to get it that might want it.
Again fair app would highly recommend Rips if your a Pokémon card collector starting out. I have ripped like 278 packs so far and I can’t put Rips down keep coming back for the thrill of the pull can’t wait to get a grail. Keep up the good work 👍
This company is one of the best for getting some great trading cards! You select a wrapped card to purchase from $1.00 on up. Then there’s a fun interactive portion where you rip the pack open to reveal your card. You can select your comfort level by selecting your volatility level which changes your odds depend, depending on what cards are after. More good cards than bad ones the site. I’ve turned up some really solid, high grade cards, often worth quite a bit more than I paid for the pack. Payments are easy, shipping is easy. No “can’t find your address” like their competitors. I shipped several cards. And there was no hassle whatsoever. Came out well packed and preserved. The only room for improvement, is I wish they would offer the feature of combining shipping so it’s not multiple shipping packages. They should do that for the customer and for the environment. If you decide you don’t want to ship a particular card, or if you’re not happy with one that you received, then you could sell it immediately back to the company for a fair market price and purchase a new pack. Another thing I particularly like about this company, is that they are budget friendly as well. They’re never “out of” any particular pack or tier, unlike their competitors. They also don’t require you to make minimum deposits of $25 when you add funds, unlike competitor. Rips is excruciatingly easy to use. Very intuitive user-friendly interface. The only other room for improvement that I hope to see implemented, is to have an extended or indefinite amount of time to store the cards in the virtual vault. When you pull a card, you will have to make a decision within seven days as to whether you want to sell it back or ship it out. Other than that, great company. MUCH better than a good many alternatives. Quality of the cards you see online is exactly what you will receive. Same card in your screen is same card they ship.
Giving it 6 stars on what I think is actually a very cool app to be completely honest didn’t think the card was actually going to show up in the mail, but it did package was very well. Card was exactly what they had posted on their app. Have no complaints whatsoever pricing on their cards pretty close to accurate from what I seen on recent sale I put 20 on Rips got a $10 pack end up pulling a $50 card if you like, rolling the dice a little bit definitely a app for you. Pretty cool thing about it. you have six days to either have it shipped to your house or resell it for the price they have it post at and you can cash out what you have in you’re account. I haven’t really done that part yet, but I definitely be looking into getting more cards from here
