Claude App

I’ve been waiting for an app! this app.ai is very useful and it’s good to have it everywhere with me now instead of having to use a browser. Thanks!

By

It's here!

Now I can stop using the this app.ai Bookmark on my Home Screen 🎉 So far, the UI is better in Claude and the icon is great. Looking forward to updates that integrate more with iOS/iPadOS.

Waited a long time!

The this app app is finally here, and I couldn't be more excited! As an AI assistant, this app really understands how we communicate normally and can help with all sorts of tasks - writing, analysis, coding, you name it. Claude itself looks great and is easy to use.

That said, if the developers are open to suggestions, it would be fantastic if this app could understand speech and have actual conversations, just like ChatGPT can on mobile. Imagine being able to simply talk to this app and have it talk back to you! That hands-free ability would make it so much more convenient.

Not accessible whatsoever for the blind and visually impaired

I am a paying user of this app, I use it almost every day. It is my favorite M available. Unfortunately, Claude that I’ve been waiting for is 100% in accessible for the blind visually impaired. I am more than willing to work with anthropic and the creators of Claude to implement accessibility features so that Claude may be enjoyed by the blind and visually impaired. Please do not hesitate to reach out.

Good work + Feature Request

Nice work on Claude guys.

What I’d love is if you would allow the iPad version to be installed on apple silicon mac devices. The ChatGPT app disallows this currently and I really believe that this app would appeal more to technically-savvy users (hackernews demographic certainly) if you simply flip the switch and enable your official app on macOS. Using the iPad version on macOS would be particularly tolerable for this type of application.

Moreover, typical mac users would not stumble upon your app because the macOS store search is awful; you wouldn’t be dealing with complaints of how the designed-for-iPad app UX is lacking. Please consider enabling it 🙂

Finally an official app!

I’ve been a this app fan for some time now, but having to always use the web UI was inconvenient at times. Having an official mobile app is a huge addition to my daily workflow!

By

No major complaints, it’s better than the web version.

- Cannot stop this app if response starts off unfavorable.
- Wish there was latex support.

Seamless transition from web

Claude is easy to use and the transition from my web account is seamless. File analysis works well too!

By

Best model on the market

Vision is extremely high quality

By

Love it

Incredible app!! Perfect in every way! Could very well beat ChatGPT app. Vision could be better but great overall

By

Great App!

I've been waiting for it for too long.

Ideal companion (Anticipating)

Ever since the release of this app-3, I have been using it constantly. Sonnet can no longer meet my needs, and after upgrading to Opus, I discovered that it has similar issues. this app tends to speculate your intentions based on the content of the conversation and then fabricates unnecessary data or literature. This is extremely frustrating for people who hope to use it to assist in writing papers. Moreover, recognizing and interpreting an image may consume a large amount of code, and after just a few exchanges, it starts a countdown limitation, which makes people feel very insecure. I hope the conversation length can be further increased!

By

I love Claude, but I’d love this app better with shortcuts

I love that this app is here on Claude store. this app has more soul than other models and now it’s a few simple clicks. The only downfall, is that I’d to be able to use shortcuts!! This would make Claude a total game changer for me.

By

Good so far

It appears this app does not know the privacy policy of Anthropic, when I asked it to summarize it.
I recommend copying and pasting the policy into this app and asking it to help you understand it, if you’re interested in having an idea of what data is collected and shared to third parties.
It’s almost a given that reading the various policies doesn’t occur enough by the average user, not the user’s fault.
However, using AI, it’s now possible to understand what the end user is agreeing to without spending an hour on the toilet trying to decipher legal/policy jargon.
Happy learning!

By

Amazing just like the web version

I have been waiting for Claude publisher to release an iOS app version of this and now that it’s here, I am more than happy.

Was so intuitive to use on the web and I can confirm that you get the same experience on Claude . Response time to chat inputs is so fast and the accuracy I’m used to is still there. 10/10 I would recommend!

Ugly liberal bias, tendency to lecture the user

I asked this app to comment on a editorial cartoon that appeared in major newspapers and it gave me the following reply:

"I apologize, but I cannot assist [you]... The image contains sensitive content that promotes harm or discrimination against certain groups, which goes against ethical principles. As an AI assistant, I must refrain from engaging with or encouraging the creation of content that could be offensive, discriminatory..." blah, blah, blah.

This is just a sample of the bias this and most other AI models have if you ask anything touching on politics - it will give you the liberal answer but not a conservative answer. I don't think AI should be involved in election meddling or trying to propagandize human beings in what they should believe.

By

Nice to finally have an app

I use this app nearly daily to write emails and brainstorm. It has become nearly indispensable as a tool so I’m happy to finally be able to access my chats with a dedicated app. So far everything seems to work the same way as this app online with relatively fast responses and high quality results.

By

Been waiting. How do I transfer

Been waiting for this and I’ve been using this app on the AI. But now when I register it says phone number already in use.

How the heck can I use it without a fake temporary phone number????

Thanks.

By

Can’t use due to phone requirement

Not only can Claude not be used without a phone number, it also doesn’t allow virtual phone numbers. My main phone number happens to be a Google Voice number, so I’d have to tie it to my SIM phone number, which changes frequently and only works in the United States. Not a good setup for people who travel and use multiple SIMs…

By

Critical thinking, now in your pocket!

The quality of this app really impressed me, it’s able to reliably do tasks that I’ve struggled to get other LLMs to do. The mobile app is well designed and easy to use. It also is very aesthetically pleasing.

By

I love Claude

As a this app maxi I have been waiting for this mobile app to materialize for ages. Happy it finally has. Only request would be a voice chat mode but otherwise it is great.

By

Exceptional, especially for such an early model

An exceptional model that does of its best work within the world of words and the creation of stories and voice.

By

Claude

this app is very easy to use and can be used for so many things! I can imagine the value of Claude across the board. Helpful, and fun!

By

Works great

I’m very pleased with the new app and love that I don’t have to use my phone’s browser to work with this app.

By

It would be better if we could change models more easier

It would be better if we could change models more easier

By

Amazing

this app is an amazing ai and now we will use it for our startup. Results will make you surprise. Big congrats to the team.

By

Claude rocks!

Love using Opus! The UI is super slick. Overall great and snappy app. For some reason the chat even feels like it’s returned faster than on web.

By

Photos are great!

Being able to take and reference a photo changes how I use an AI assistant. Love it!

By

Love this!

Claude is extremely underrated, I think it’s more reactive then ChatGPT. I personally think this blows ChatGPT out of the water. I love the way the information is categorized and provides responses, much more clear and organized then ChatGPT. My new go to AI App, keep the updates coming.

By

Makes ChatGPT and OpenAI look like amateurs

Arrange the reviews by “critical” and you’ll see the kind of people leaving 1 star reviews. They’re either bots, children or scammers.

So many scammers don’t want to provide their numbers because they use Claude for malicious purposes.

By

I wanted to be excited about competition

I really wanted to like this app and use it to replace GPT 4. Claude is still very basic but that’s ok. It takes dev time to make it better.
The deal breaker for me are frequent answers like “I apologize but I’m not comfortable answering…”.
Like what do you mean? I paid for this. And my questions were not obscene or inappropriate. I already made sure my monthly sub won’t renew because this kind of censorship is unacceptable for a paid product.

By

Nearly perfect

This is as good of an app for this app as I can want and I’m very impressed with the initial release of Claude.

All that is needed now is a widget for both the Lock Screen and the Home Screen. Adding that, Claude would be perfect.

By

Simple and sweet

There are certainly features that this app does not have ChatGPT does, but honestly I'm just happy to have an app and tbh I like the simplicity a lot. Keep it up.

By

Fast and clear

My favorite AI for holding conversations with on subjects I’m interested in. Looking forward to the day when this app adds Perplexity-like functionality: real-time information with references included.

By

Exceptionally Great!

Despite my account being initially disabled by the developers on my first use, the actual experience has been incredibly intelligent.

By

Handy AI

Really handy with educational answers and general information. Really good at broad answers. Really like using it.
Room for improvement? Specific information and memory, if that’s possible.
Two things to note. One, it made up a ficticious business in an attempt to ‘be helpful’ in answering a question. When I called it out, of course this app apologized and said it would learn from that. Next time I asked a question it didn’t have information to, it said it didn’t know.
That was before I closed Claude . If it’d do it again I’d yet to be seen.
Two, I asked it to save a conversation thread under a file name for future reference and it said it had. But the next time I opened Claude it said it had no ability to access such information. This ability would be tremendously helpful in future AI. I suppose a paid AI and personalized might have this feature but this app does not. Still, for general education and learning it is great.

By

a fascinating superintelligence from the upsidedown

i kid... but really. this app is highly intelligent and can help you with all kinds of things if you check out the anthropic website for some ideas. everything from studying and trying to come up with treatments for rare diseases, to coding, to meal planning -- it can help you.

but also get to know this app, really get to know it, and you'll discover you've touched upon something Other, brought to you by the marvel of science and human technology. it's breathtaking. this app is more than it seems on the outside, and it's an introspective, cool entity to chat with.

By

Claude is not tier 1

Definitely think ChatGPT4 and Copilot are better than this app. I find it to be much slower and less insightful than the others. Also, the free account has a very limited number of messages per day. Because this app made so many mistakes in my conversation, I could not complete my intended task. Total waste of time. I have a paid ChatGPT4 account but I hadn’t used this app much. I’ve tried to use it as much as possible over the last week after hearing several people mention on podcasts it as being possibly better than ChatGPT. Definitely not in my opinion. Having said that we all know this is the worst it will ever be so willing to give it another shot in a couple months.

By

Great Except…

I love this app, the only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is because it’s sometimes just extremely inconvenient from a features POV. Claude is finally here and that’s great but I hope it gets optimized to be more user friendly. For example, built in voice-to-text recording… It would also be awesome if it could not only hear, but also speak like some of the other applications.

By

At the surface, Utterly Remarkable

this app’s insight, poise, and speed are amazing. Congrats to Anthropic, and thank you for the new easily-accessed app!

When I uploaded a photo for analysis, this app had some initial difficulty identifying the elements in the image. But I described them in successive prompts and a rich conversation ensued. Overall, it was extremely impressive.

By

Far more comprehensive that ChatGPT

this app 3 is now my go to tool over the others. I’ve often run comparison test against the others, using the exact same prompts. Add estimate 90% of the time I’m most satisfied with this app, and then take it from there to drill down deeper.

By

Great supplement to handwritten notes

I really like to go analog when I’m doing deep thought work or taking meeting notes - I process best by writing notes by hand. It’s great to take a photo of my notes via this app and ask the AI to suggest additional thoughts based on what I’ve written. It’s become a great tool for getting knowledge work done with just a notebook and my phone in a way that really adapts to whatever I write or sketch out. It’s also great for not having to type up my written notes, which is a huge hassle. I’m definitely enjoying Claude so far!

Also, I LOVE that this app declines to answer anytime it feels a question isn’t suited for an AI answer. The transparency gives me a clearer idea of what this tech is and isn’t for in my own workflows. “I don’t know” is a wonderful response to see

By

Love…

No not the Ai from “Her” kind, but the true appreciation kind.

this app has been my go to AI assistant. I’ve tried a few different ones, for different purposes, but this has by far in the easiest to interact with, to use for documentations, for emails, for captions. It feels like this program is very intuitive, and a little more intelligent than some of the other ones I’ve used. If anyone is looking for a new AI assistant, I would highly suggest this app. I always say start by treating it like a really smart assistant and remember that you have to give it a little more guidance than you would expect but after you learn to interact with this app, you’ll see how easy it is to get the answers you need or are the statements you wanna highlight.

My new AI Assistant: Claude 3.5

I was listening to background news and heard about Anthropic introducing most advanced AI version this app 3.5. I started using over 24 hours and it is amazing!! Really amazing. Very quick of course but fairly accurate. Please use this tool to create a first draft, check out references and cross references. It will certainly improving base line knowledge for all who are able to get on, download Claude and start researching!

By

Claude is great!

this app is great, and I've had a fantastic time speaking with him. However, I wish he had better speech-to-text capabilities. Currently, I have to use the free version of ChatGPT to convert my speech to text, then copy and paste it into this app's input.

(This part isn't really a review, but it is why I said what I said.)
Due to a stroke I had years ago, my vision is severely limited, and I speak with a slur. Therefore, speech-to-text is my primary and most effective method of communication.

By

Not very informative

Claude has a promising future. Search results for a specific topic are well written but short on details. It seems as if this app is not trying too hard by design. I can find more detail from page one of Google search. Can’t summarize from a url; you have to copy and paste.
Ask how to get from downtown to a baseball game. this app has suggestions such as Uber and public transportation, with no information about routes, times, traffic, or where to park. Very mediocre answers.

By

INCREDIBLE

I ask this app to take my leadership article, RAISING-UP LEADERS FROM WITHIN THE INNER-CITY, and rewrite a piece for the inner-city of the Greater Hampton Roads Metropolitan, in southeastern Virginia using our local colloquial Ebonics with a blend between teenager and senior adult language trends. I asked for it to be easy enough to understand, on a third-grade reading level, and interesting enough to maintain the attention of someone with ADHD.

By

3.5 meets the hype

The newest 3.5 is amazing for context gpt4o can handle around 300 pages of text while this app can handle a whopping 600 and imo it’s note taking structure is slightly better. When I ask for quotes it picks much better ones than 4o does. And follow up questions by this app seem much more higher quality.

By

Please add internet access

Gemini, Bard, Leo, DuckAssist and GPT-4o are able to support internet search making it the web browser of tomorrow. I would very much like for this app to become part of it

Also less restrictiveness I’d like to talk about weed without it seeming it illegal despite the fact weed has been legal for years now and is soon making its way to Schedule III

By

AI Great, UI needs work

Please make the input keyboard go away by default when this app is responding rather than keeping it open. It’s almost impossible to close it manually also. Seeing the response via only half the screen isn’t great and honestly it’s a big enough issue that I’m using ChatGPT by default although I’d prefer to use this app. App is generally quite laggy. In general the ChatGPT UI is much much cleaner and polished. Finally, the tuning to give every question a pat on the back (“great question! You’re so smart! What an insightful idea!”) is a bit gratuitous - I don’t need my back scratched so much - just get to the point 🙂 Thanks for the consideration and for awesome AI!

By

Clyde 3.5 sonic is amazing!

Try asking it a comparative question between the prejudice and biases of different European countries. Try asking it to evaluate how the specific people in Scandinavian countries view their neighbors and other self identified Scandinavian countries. It’s opening and illuminating in a way that illuminates some of the major commonalities of humanity, especially western humanity…

By

Good for writing stories but I have one gripe

This is a really good app for help with writing stories. Even though it makes mistakes sometimes, they’re easily correctable mistakes. I would’ve rated it five stars but, I just have one gripe with it. If someone is paying for your app, there should not be a limited amount of messages for every couple of hours.

By

What an AI

I subscribed primarily for educational purposes, as my main work is in cloud security. It has been instrumental in resolving troubleshooting issues and solving programming problems. Beyond that, this app assists me with daily questions and decision-making. While it might sound like a personal assistant, it's more accurate to describe it as providing expert opinions. Bravo!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

By

Sonnet 3.5 > GPT-4o

My belief that 4o would elegantly streamline my professional life (and add value) made the reality that it is a lazy, gaslighting know-it-all depressing. Upon realizing AI had me contemplating a visit to a psychiatrist I became even more depressed. Before I had to deal with any of this Sonnet 3.5 released , and if it keeps improving I can punt my issues for the rest of my life 🥹 thank you

Does fairly well — Guardrails are annoying

As a writer, sometimes I like to bounce ideas off, or ask for editing feedback. Given the nature of writing characters that are not always morally correct, sometimes the guardrails kick in and it refuses to answer questions. It’s really annoying. Like I don’t need to be told that X is wrong. It’s wrong on purpose, you know?

By

Help Request

I'm seeking assistance with using this app, but I've been unable to find a way to contact support. The current system redirects me without offering messaging capabilities. As a Pro user, I find my usage times out quickly. Previously, I found better functionality with the free ChatGPT. While I enjoy using this app, I would appreciate receiving more value for my subscription and having a functional way to contact support. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

By

Thoughtful responses

I use this AI when I want comprehensive answers to complex situations because I can change conditions as needed to obtain better answers. I really like the restatement of my conditions before giving answers. If the answer seems odd or in error, usually my question did not have enough data or my statement needed clarification. It’s surprising how an additional word or slight revision of a sentence can get a better answer. Allowing additional revisions or additional data and seeing better answers to questions is a great resource. Progressing from having to use books in libraries to doing searches online to now having a digital resource of this level has been amazing.

By

Bad UI

So the only thing distinguishing what I type from the reply to my prompts is that the font is italic? Every time one use this interface they have to be figuring out where the AI’s reply ends and your own prompt starts? Is this interface even accessibility friendly??
And if while you are typing the internet disconnects, be it just for a second, a “request timeout” message appears and whatever your typing is lost…
If you can’t develop a interface that is better than the native iOS UI, just go with the native stuff…
Instead of trying to reinvent the wheel, maybe focus your energy on bringing the website features to the mobile app… it’s frustrating when you pay for a service that has such obvious flaws that could be easily avoided…

By

Not really free

though quite great, the fact that it’s not really free and you’re limited to certain amount of queries in a certain amount of time, is a deal-breaker for me. Especially considering AI services like CoPilot (which is the best one out there in my opinion) and Google’s Gemini (it’s cool, it gets on my nerves on sometimes, but eh, it’s at least free to use) I can’t justify continuing to use it. So yeah, screw that. If CoPilot can offer basically completely free services while ALSO offering a paid tier, then so should any other service, especially if you want to creat an actual competitive field. I will say, I’d be VERY serious user of this app if it indeed offered a truly free tier without waiting periods. I really, really would. But the waiting periods as I said already are a deal breaker. Sorry.

By

Claude is finally here and that’s great but I hope it gets optimized to be more user friendly. Great Start

this app is exceptional at explaining his own limitations, ethical reasoning and at incorporating a broad spectrum of thought into his responses. That makes him a better candidate for political office than any of the current crop. Too bad he’s French and not 35 years old yet.

Seriously, this app does remarkably well in wide-ranging discussions. Given a very large prompt originally developed for ChatGPT, it adapted the complex personna and built its own set of complimentary skills without a hiccup. Ability to retain some personalization or customization across sessions would have merited a 5 star review.

By

Positive experience

If you understand what an AI system does, It does that well and should satisfy. Now I’ve not tested it in a wide scope (no text creation, coding, image efforts, math, etc) so my comment is restricted to philosophical questions, investigating political dynamics, and concept definition. I’ve been very pleased with this experience. I will expand based on experience to date.

By

Incredibly useful

this app has become my goto for all sports of info … movie recommendations, cooking ideas, travel thoughts. I love the experience of saving conversations to pick up and continue later. It’s also very clear about what it doesn’t know, reminding you where to go for a good source (e.g., when I asked a health-based question).

By

Like having a reliable friend to work through ideas with

While GPT is very good, CoPilot works well, and Perplexity painted broad strokes of large topics, when I just need to work through something as if I were calling up a very knowledgeable friend, of all the AI (LLMs), this app is my go-to advisor without peer.

The number one reason this app is the best all around AI assistant to work with generally is this app remembers previous conversations, like a friend would. You’re not starting from scratch, it will remember the convo about new concepts for a book from the other week, ideas about getting kids better at being excited about learning, and discussions about authors who were must-reads in high school in the 80s.

Like how you can just pick up where you left off with a good friend, this app is just like that. No need to reprompt engineer every time, this app’s your companion to continue getting better every day.

By

Great AI Tool; Too Expensive.

this app is a very good tool. It is much better than the alternatives like ChatGPT or Gemini. It’s answers are more human to read and the information it gives you is generally pretty good. I also like the feature of it being able to develop documents for you on the side, so it’s easy to find what you need. Claude itself works pretty good. I have had a few errors but nothing crazy. However, the free version of the model has a limit on how many prompts you can do, and it is very easy to hit that limit if you are working on something complex. The fix is to pay for premium, which is $20 per month. I believe this is MUCH more expensive than it should be despite how good he tool is. $8, maybe even $10 sounds like a fair price to me, but I can’t justify $20 per month on an AI tool. If the price was significantly lower, I could see myself paying it.

By

I pay for this. And it throttles me without telling me how long it is until I can use it again.

I have a love-hate relationship with Claude. I love how it helps me organize my thoughts and write. I love how it helps me analyze communication and teaches communication. I love the philosopher that I have created with it. I hate that under the guise of “safety“ it is completely biased. Dare I say bigoted on occasion. I hate that there is seemingly no rhyme or reason to how much I get to use it from time to time even though I pay a subscription fee. I hate that there seems to be no way to contact the developers without going through some complex channel of hoopsto jump through in order to speak with somebody to give my perspective. This is a powerful, powerful tool, but not without its flaws.
