I’ve been using Mezu for. . . More than a year now. About 3 weeks ago I went to add my this app digital. Add to my Apple Pay and the only way I could verify was thru phone number. So I go into the this app app to change my number and it’s locked. So I notice something saying they have to verify me, upload photos of my drivers license. . . So I do. They verify my license, I still can’t change my phone number. I send them a message, no response. I call. . . They say something about because of verification they aren’t able to change my phone number over the phone I have to contact them through Mezu by sending a message. Finally, a response.

They write me back in Mezu and tel me because of “security parameters” they can’t very my account and change my phone number.

So you’re telling me. . . I’m linking my d@mn bank accounts to this service and y’all not really securing our information????????? 🤔🤔🤔. So I got a new phone last week, went to check my this app app for something and when I open it I got a message telling me that I can’t use the this app app. FOR WHAT???????????

I used this app once a few months ago. Loading my bank info, debit card info and personal info was easy. I had a friend send me money. Then was told I needed to be verified because they are concerned with security. So, they’re SO concerned about fraud/ security, but not when it comes to putting money into Mezu . After emailing 4 times a day for 3 weeks, attaching pictures of my ID’s over 20 times.
I was “verified”. Once I got the money in my account, I deleted it and told anyone who would listen about how awful their customer service is and how unbelievably irritating it was to get access to my money.

Today, someone sent money to me via this app by mistake. I went to withdraw it and what a surprise... I need to be verified AGAIN! I can’t even send the money back to her. No response from customer service, no surprise there. I guess I have another month long battle on my hands just to get $100 out of this worthless excuse for an app

Okay so I was at a festival in Cleveland and a rep approached me and told me about Mezu . She handed me a card for a free $5 and if I installed it I would get it and I would get $5 for each referral. I was like boom this is dope it’s like a new cashapp...wrong. First of all, they literally asked for every single piece of personal information, they literally needed EVERYTHING even a picture of my photo ID. That was weird off rip. I never got my $5 for downloading it and the two people I referred to Mezu didn’t get their $5 nor did I get my $10 for their referral. So all in all I’m owed $15 and haven’t seen one penny. When I contact customer care they send a stupid message via app and then I can’t access Mezu because it’s glitching and by the time it stops being stupid the message is “gone”...y’all ask for my personal info, get ALL my stuff and then don’t pay out on a promise?! That’s called fraud and false advertisement. Stick to cash app or Venmo
Cause Mezu is BASURA.

I would steer clear of Mezu. this app has cancelled my account with funds inside and told me that it may take 45 days to receive. They also said that they have canceled the account for reasons they cannot discuss. This seems very unreasonable. Throughout the process there were several glitches and payment freezes of which Andrew was of little help. At times I felt like I was talking to a wall. Good riddance! After this app’s review response, I am still not pleased. They say on the review that that will respond to comments in customer care, but they remain ignored. This is an amateur service compared to the alternatives like Venmo or Cash App.

Update: After this app closed my account with funds within it, they promised to return funds within 2 days on their appeals page. They ignored that and said that it would be 45 days. Well, 45 days have come and gone...

I for one I’m pretty new to Mezu but I appreciate the fact that Mezu has a positive anonymity you can send money to others without putting on all your information. For example a hairdresser did your hair and you may not want them to have all types of information so you can send them this money through Mezu or maybe it’s a one time transaction and you don’t want to go through hardships with private information so I think this app has really hit the mark on straight to the point money sending between acquaintances family members or friends

this app is a fantastic app to send money, and as far as I know it’s the only one that lets you remain anonymous. Really it is perfect for sending money to friends or strangers, just like if it was cash. Mezu is something new because it offers extra anonymity and security with all the functions you’d want in an app for sending money. I would highly recommend giving this a try, after all it is free. You also can play a game they have and possibly win money, which I think is very cool.

I don’t even write reviews but just because money was taken from me i have to. DO NOT download this they are bots and don’t have a real customer support system i sent money to a friend and it’s taken him more than a month to try to get verified and he couldn’t receive my funds unless he was verified so that tied into my funds because he didn’t receive and i couldn’t get my money back. They said they were looking into the matter but never said anything to me or him. I asked about my money they said they can’t do anything cause it was completed in my end but on his phone it said pending until he’s verified. It got to the point he didn’t want Mezu anymore and now i can’t get a refund so it’s stuck in Mezu which is plain robbery.

This is going to be my 3rd review and I am very curious now as to what this company wants. I have emailed them 3-4x in total to delete my Acct, I no longer need this service. I dnt feel safe just deleting Mezu without knowing my personal information is deleted. There has been no response from them via email nor via online messages. I did get help in the beginning from 2 staff members and til this day nothing! I’ve been waiting for someone to delete my Acct since January. And if the company is going to respond to this review, please go look at my emails instead and delete my Acct! Please that’s all I’m asking for and I’m not the only person who has this problem I have read someone else is going thru this as well.

I am beginning to become very frustrated with Mezu. I signed up and did all the steps I was supposed to do. I verified my number and email and put in more than ENOUGH info to clarify that I am who I say I am. I even sent in my ID as well. The account consistently keeps telling me that my account is still being verified even tho I verified everything I was supposed to! It’s been about a week that this has been happening and it still remains to show me the same message to this day. It won’t even let me take off my card info, won’t let me add info, it won’t let me send money, nothing! I’ve reached out to this app support for help several times, and I get responses, but no help regarding the issue! This is super unfair and I feel like I’m getting played. I need help settling this ASAP!

I have nothing against Mezu , i just want to delete my account and cut back on my digital footprint but have been unsuccessful in any and ALL attempts.

I first contacted them through Mezu to to delete my account. It seemed to go normally at first as A representative got back to me. However, there’s a bug in Mezu where their responses can’t be read within the support section of Mezu . I Emailed back and they said they would delete my account. Weeks later and still nothing. I went back to app to file another ticket to close my account —ticket was closed after no acknowledgement or any help. I emailed them directly and haven’t gotten any feedback. It seems this company just wants to have your information on file.

BEWARE!

It always felt like I was about to hit rock bottom just a few days before my paycheck hit the bank account. I just needed a few dollars for gas or some other small expense that popped up. Not that I have this app I NEVER have that issue anymore. I always know I have enough money and if I don’t then I just show Mezu off to a friend so they can get the money they need and I get the money I need! Mezu is just a win-win situation no matter how u look at it! Thank you for Mezu!!

I had Mezu for two days, I was able to send money to a friend one time, I tried to send money again and Mezu took the money out of the card account, then told the friend I was sending it to, their account was not accepted and so he was never able to accept the money and I am still out of a hundred dollars. I tried to access Mezu to contact customer support and my account wasn’t “verified” so I could no longer access my this app account. I feel like Mezu is scam, because they have my personal information and took money from my card, that I have yet to get back since my friend couldn’t receive it, and I can’t access my account to delete it. DO NOT GET Mezu! It’s terrible and not an “EASY” way to send money at all.

As a busy college student, paying bills, and always on the go I finally found an app that was convenient enough to use for daily uses! Mezu has saved me a couple times from going to the ATM and going through the hassle of driving to and from and waiting in busy lines. I love that Mezu is simple enough for anyone to use and I’ve recommended Mezu to family & friends! If you’re hesitant to download, don’t be!
