I really want to give this 5 stars but it has some obvious bugs and the developer only updates like once a year. Too bad, there is some real potential here. Some notes don’t sound, D and C sometimes, check that out. Also what’s really frustrating is I’ll be up to 180 correct or so and the last tap maybe was doubled tap and the app registers that as a wrong answer for the next note, rrrr.... also the note you tap aren’t laid out far enough, it’s easy to mistakenly tap a wrong answer. It really needs a refresh for a paid app BUT it’s very effect and I like the high score feature it helps with motivation so that’s worth 3 stars, but minus 2 stars for bad interface and minor bugs and low engagement on the developer. Will 5 star this once/if improvements are made.

It has a nice interface overall, but has some bugs that keep it from being that useful. For example, in training mode, it’s supposed to test me on notes across the whole string, but instead it keeps giving me the same 4 notes. (Literally, after 30 questions, all of them were the same 4.) And sometimes it gives the same question multiple times in a row, which is even more useless. Would be nice if there were a way in the app to report bugs like that. Like I said, it has a lot of potential and if they can fix the bugs it would be great.

This has been a useful approach to learn the fretboard, but the two standard, and only, learning modes become dull after a while. What I would find much more useful is the ability to drill a single string, or a region of the fretboard, with a "free play" mode that doesn't end when you make a mistake.
