this app has honestly saved my life. It’s opened the doors to many like minded ppl I’ve been looking to meet all morning life. You don’t pay to chat, you can send unlimited pictures and media content-there’s ppl of every race and kink and oh the discussion boards! There’s a place you can process what you’re experiencing! I met my boyfriend on this app and now we’re on it together! Vanilla umbrella comes in at a close second place but no other kink app has stimulated me like this app. I’m so grateful for the best kink app in the world. I was on tinder and I was so lonely. The type of ppl on most of these dating app are mindless holes-it’s a meat market but this app had class and edification of the community sets the standard. I must admit. I was banned from this app for a week for something I didn’t do so I wish this app would investigate cases before immediately suspending accounts but with one quick email and explanation I was back on no questions asked. They want they’re community to flourish and I appreciate there zero tolerance for online harassment and spam. Thank goodness for this app or else we’d all just have to settle for dating apps like tinder that don’t support ideas and lifestyles of the bdsm world.

I thought I would have to go on for hours! About the customer service algorithms that green lit the selfie I took in front of the 3 meter phallus, carved out of soft wood, (in a turtleneck sweater pulled up to my shaved head with the caption ‘structural similarities’). Or the customer support algorithms and team that flagged that same picture as a violation. After 8 hours of emails the customer support team reaffirmed the customer support interface’s initial algorithms that; yes, large wooden penises are actually not offensive on an app devoted to adult sexual just about anything. Direct all customer support questions to my friend Joseph, he was excellent when the site didn’t send an auto text to my 6 of my emails, 3 of which was to clarify why they had decided this piece of art was potentially offensive. It was the 3 meter wooden penis. Truly worth the money I’ve blown on it. Like lighting it on fire, but freezing. The good news is they appreciate art, and the penis stands. For now.

The nominal $10 charge for unlimited interaction seems like a good deal at first. Unfortunately the 5 invitations to chat I get everyday are obviously fishing bots. The same script every time: Hi, I'm good thanks, do you want to be a slave, okay, where are you from? Regardless of what you write back to them. (Not even sophisticated bots.)These profiles have one or two pics (sometimes not of the same person) and no Bio at all. Obviously the devs don't care. Unless your kink is giving strangers money, sign up for fetlife.

The guidelines for picture posting is ridiculously strict. I can't have a picture of some rope wrapped around my hand. I can't have drawings of women who are clothed in an artistic Shibari rope design. As a matter fact there can't be anything to do with rope apparently. Not nudes mind you just tastefully drawn, clothed pieces of art.

And just to drive home the point that the Devs don't care, when they ask you why you are deleting your account they only give you 140 characters. Obviously they want to hear everything you have to say. If I could get Whiplr taken down for being fraudulent instead of giving it one star, I would.

I downloaded Whiplr and was having fun with it, until someone I wasn’t interested in reported me for something I didn’t do (soliciting) maliciously. My app was immediately banned with no warning, no email notification, and no recourse. I had to contact them via Facebook to even get a response.

It took 3 days. During this 3 days I thought my account had been hacked. I expressed as much and they were completely unconcerned. I was scared for the people I’d been talking to. When this was resolved (3 days later) I was told that my account was restored but I have a strike against it and if it happens again I’ll be banned permanently. So basically I got trolled with no investigation on the word of someone who was butthurt over being rebuked. Although I’m restored I’m being further punished for something I didn’t do. This isn’t a way to keep a community safe. I learned after researching that this app keeps user passwords stored in a TXT file that can easily be hacked. So if you aren’t concerned about getting Doxxed by a troll with no recourse, go for it.

I really enjoyed Whiplr and it’s unique focus. However, should you have a problem, the customer service is nonexistent. After being on Whiplr a couple of weeks, I encountered a few men that wrote very angry and mean messages to me after I said I was not interested. The next day when I tried to access Whiplr , it said that my account had been blocked. I can only assume that this was a result of one of the angry people that I encountered as my profile is very tame and has appropriate, non-nude pictures. I never messaged anything inappropriate to anyone either so it does not seem possible that I violated any standards. I understand that this could happen HOWEVER I do not understand how there is no possible way that I can discuss this with anyone so I can remedy the situation and continue using Whiplr . I have emailed them through their “contact us” link three times in the last month and have received NO response. This is frankly unacceptable to have no way to contact them.

It's a little difficult to navigate at first, and some of the men on there can be dull, but that's to be expected from any app like this. Whiplr itself is wonderful. I love the idea of giving gifts, and not having to pay to send somebody messages. I also love having photos I can keep secret until I wish to share them.

There’s many glitches that I believe that the developers are ignoring

1. When. I put in my info, it is deleted for no reason when I go on something else. For example, if I put in my info and talk to someone, i go back to my profile and it’s not there. I don’t know why.

2. The moderation is weird. I don’t know if it’s robots or actual real people, but it shouldn’t take long for pictures to pend. It absolutely shouldn’t. It’s been pending for a week. Secondly, I uploaded a selfie of myself on the site and it was apparently taken down for “inappropriate content.” There was nothing nude or bad in the photo and I’ve seen worse that’s been ignored.

3. This place really needs better maintenance and better support. They really have a hard time listening to their customers. A guy there reported me because I didn’t want to show him my private photos and I got my account blocked with no appeal, and nothing else.i tried contacting you guys, and I still got nothing as of last week.

Whiplr has potential, but I believe it’s being neglected a lot.

this app is one of the most glitchy apps I’ve ever used in my life. The distance between users is not accurate people who are a few miles away for me it says they are 500+ miles away. My height is displayed in pounds so it’s impossible to tell how tall anyone else’s either unless it’s specifically listed in their profile. You have to wait for profile pictures to be approved even if they aren’t ones that show nudity they might be declined and you would have to list it as a private photo which is annoying. To me it seems like they aren’t interesting in fixing any of this either. Will probably delete it since the entire point is to find people near me.

Buyer beware ! Whiplr has a tendency to dump its users for no explanation.
5 years ago this was a Ok app with lots of users today there are 298 users left! Im sure that # will go back up then right back down.
If you don’t pay be prepared to be randomly blocked and having to create a new account is a ordeal! Uploading images is an ordeal! And if you don’t have images will be blocked. site is infested with bots!
The amount of people trying to charge you for sex on Whiplr is astronomical!
Nothing about Whiplr is really convenient other than the people who are using it!
I have no recommendations for another apps
It’s really too bad the creators don’t take better care of their product and customers.

After over 6 years of successfully meeting play partner I was blocked for NO reason
No explanation was given!
I will not be spending anymore of my MONEY on Whiplr!

Downloaded Whiplr not even for two days and suddenly my account was blocked, reached out to the the service team and was told someone said I was sending unwanted messages meanwhile I hadn’t responded to anyone at that time. No inquiry just immediate blockage. Next morning receive a message saying my account is unblocked, I still cannot enter my account because it is STILL blocked. Service team has not answered me yet, I am highly disappointed with Whiplr and it’s services. Be careful who you get messages from because they might block your account to be petty and you will have to deal with the same disaster

Well-designed app, except there’s no one on it. I’m in a city in the USA, not in some secluded area, and there are 2 profiles within 50 miles. A handful of profiles under 250 miles and every other profile is 500+ miles, and even those run out after several down swipes of the page. When you look at the profiles most have been inactive for months. So almost no one will read messages sent out. The one reply I got back the chick had an attitude. And I have good quality photos up. Paid $9.99 just to be able to use Whiplr , and it was money wasted. Will be deleting and wanting a refund.

I gave Whiplr a bad review for it being such a scam that is full of fake profiles and received a private rebuke from Sabrina of the this app team.

Let me be clear: I’ve taken many screenshots of message exchanges with people using fake profiles on this site. Many of these ‘profiles’ want you to contact them on Kik (a site that’s well known for illegal activity) and many times the person messaging cannot form complete sentences in English although they claim to be in Indiana. At the very least, the this app team may not officially allow fake profiles but they but they’re not actively policing them.

Don’t take my word for it, read the other reviews. Save your money and don’t waste it on Whiplr. Don’t worry this app team, I’ll show myself the door.

I was banned out of nowhere and then after I asked why, I received an e-mail saying (verbatim, errors and all), "You account has been blocked as you registered as Female when actually you are a Male. This meant that you received the Dekadom free of charge. For this reason, you account will not be reactivated". Note: I did not register as either, I registered as Genderqueer.

I was unblocked after contesting it over e-mail, so I’ll bump it up a bit. But this interaction definitely has changed my PoV on Whiplr .

Ok so overall this is a good app but tell me why they won’t tell me what I did wrong?
So back in February my acc was blocked because they said I looked underage. Which I get I do look really young and I am only 20. So I provided them with proof that I was in fact over age and they did not unblock my acc. And THEN a few weeks later that block my acc again saying I have violated the terms of use. So I emailed them explaining that I have not been on so I’m not sure how I could have violated any terms and they have yet to respond or in block my acc. Ya so I’m over it.

I enjoy Whiplr and it is effective in finding what I’m looking for, however there are bugs that need fixed an more people need to get on for it to really turn into something very effective. Bugs and traffic are my only complaints.
