Great graphics... but.

Love the graphics but information sometimes arrives late or not at all. Paid the subscription to get region specific but kept getting alerts from other countries. My settings kept changing. Took several days to get an email response. I did a side by side comparison with my other go to earthquake app for Japan which was starting to act up. Erased and reloaded my other app and it started to work properly again. We had two earthquakes in two days. First earthquake, Earthquick was 30 minutes late, no sound alert, other app gave a sound alert 30 seconds before quake started. Second quake, Earthquick sent a notice the next day, other app gave a sound alert 10 seconds before quake started. Sent three emails to try and get some answers and got a reply for one email several days later, still haven’t received answers for my other two emails, been almost a week. Nice graphics but I will not use because it is not a reliable emergency source.

Intermittent service

Whenever I click on a notification it takes me to EarthquakeAlert but it crashes after a few seconds. In other times, it takes half a minute or so and eventually errors out saying it could not retrieve the data. You’d have to kill EarthquakeAlert then restart it and even then the chances of it successfully retrieving EarthquakeAlert are 50-50. I want EarthquakeAlert to succeed which is why I’m subscribed for a full 12 months and providing this feedback. Let me know what info I can provide to help troubleshoot these errors.

Useless for Earthquake Updates

Got EarthquakeAlert, since I live in an earthquake prone area of California. We finally get our first big earthquake in my area and not only does EarthquakeAlert not register it, but it would only give me a loading error in the valuable minutes/hours after the earthquake hit. If EarthquakeAlert can’t provide real time up to the minute alerts and shuts down as soon as a bigger earthquake happens in your area, then it’s pretty much useless for anything but reviewing earthquake info, days after the earthquake.

A Very Good App

I like Earthquick because of the way the data is displayed in an easy to read format. Also I like the ability to filter magnitude and display it in a list or on the map. I recently went through a 7.0 magnitude quake in Anchorage Alaska and decided I needed an application to track earthquakes.

impressive

I have been using EarthquakeAlert for a few years now and have learned a lot about the nature and activity of earthquakes. I love the maps and all the configurable settings which make for an informative and very useful tool. I live in Southern California and I consider this as a must have app

Not a fake app!

EarthquakeAlert lists EQ that other apps miss! Better than USGS website - which 99% of the time doesn’t list all the US EQ’s - particularly Oregon, WA state and Yellowstone. Thank you! Most Americans would rather know what’s occurring on our beautiful planet rather than be caught completely off guard and unprepared.

Needs updating

Normally I like EarthquakeAlert but now that the iPhone 12 Pro Max has come out and so has 5G this thing freaks out. It flashes and won’t stop “retrieving Earthquakes”. I spent $ for the full version so please update it. I live on a fault line so I’m always keeping tabs on what’s going on under our feet. Thanks!

Endless earthquake retrieving process

EarthquakeAlert is very well designed to trigger epilepsy with the endless flashing when you first open EarthquakeAlert . It just keeps flashing the screen bright without a rhythm. Literally just random flashes for more than minute, like it is designed to trigger epilepsy episodes on purpose. And funny enough, it crashes conveniently after you have successfully achieved your seizure, so you don’t need to worry about quitting EarthquakeAlert . I can provide screen recording if the developers would like it.

Thank you

This is one the good app i have ever played. Hope the developer will add more features in the future. I hope everybody like it and play it. I like it. EarthquakeAlert is really good. It can help you very much. Let's download and try it. You won't be disappointed.

Needs new updates

EarthquakeAlert will not work on IPhone 11. It just keeps downloading data and blew through our data limit twice before my wife knew what was happening. It works great on my iPhone 7. Wife loves the notifications and distance information. The rating is the combination of lPhone11 and 7. IPHONE 7 would be 5 stars by it self.

it's nice

It can take a while for news organization to get out information about quakes. EarthquakeAlert gives info right away and pinpoints the locations. Since I live where both quakes and tsunamis are a potential threat. It’s great to have it

By

very good

Even more so now that there are so many natural disasters going on. It’s nice to be able to keep up to date as they happen. EarthquakeAlert is very reliable, data is available very soon after events

Useful application for the communy

This earthquake warning application is really useful and necessary for people in the area or earthquake, real-time alert application is very fast. I am quite surprised about this application, the developers really have mind.

Upgrade not working.

Loved Earthquick before the new release. Now it just says updating earthquakes continually then it blacks out. Can you please fix this as It was sooo insightful? Thank you for making it.

By

Paid version not worth it

EarthquakeAlert doesn’t offer anything more than the free app I have, which allows you to sort your list by distance from your location. I was hoping to have more insight to activity in my area. This does not have that. Save your money and buy yourself a latté.

Used to Work, Now Doesn’t

Got iPhone XS. Worked great for two weeks, now it seems to have a glitch. Tried to download EQs, flashes a few times, then shuts down. Deleted and reloaded. No good.

Deleted and reloaded again after developer said that bugs were fixed. Still not working properly. Cannot change magnitude preference; just defaults back to > 2. Still very buggy.

Deleting now for good.

Useful

The application is very interesting! with the magic of EarthquakeAlert ,you can easily know when and where has happened .I like it!

Monitoring

I would like to monitor specific cities/Addresses, not only the state, and would be great if I can be able to add the contact info of the persons I care about in a specific area. Like EarthquakeAlert “ tornado” from american red cross, and its for free. I will consider to extend my subscription if those features are available

Helpful

EarthquakeAlert has everything I need. Works perfectly. I can see what is happening around the world and I am alerted to quakes in the area I am concerned about.

Great potential, horribly buggy

I really wish EarthquakeAlert worked. I love the map and the updates of the most recent quakes, but all it does is try to “receive earthquakes.” If I go through too many flash cards, an error message pops up and freezes EarthquakeAlert until I clear it out. It has potential but there are a lot of technical issues.

By

Pretty accurate

I downloaded EarthquakeAlert after the first Ridgecrest quake. I’ve used it to keep track of all tremors. Although some may not like that updates include worldwide quakes, I actually like that feature. It gives me an overall picture of what’s going on globally that may relate to my location.

Best way to know where the shaking is

When you live in California you need to know where and when the shaking is occurring. EarthquakeAlert gives me the information
