AMAZING!!! 😄😄

ToneDeafTest was amazing! Sometimes when I sing along to songs I notice my notes don’t quite match up with the singer’s (especially when I would sing an octave higher). So I downloaded ToneDeafTest to help tell me if I was tone deaf. Turns out, I wasn’t. 😄 It also has some other great features such as teaching you how to sing, and giving you information about tone deafness. For me, the quiz was pretty easy. I don’t know if that’s true for everyone, or just me. If you want to improve your singing, even if you’re almost positive you’re not tone deaf, you should download ToneDeafTest.

I’m a lazy old guy.

I have always had a poor singing voice. There have been some social situations where this has caused self-consciousness/ embarrassment . I am toying with the idea of discretely seeing a voice coach and then surprising spouse and friends by actually singing an easy karaoke song in a public setting and doing a good job of it. I took this test as a first step. It was fast and easy. (I did have to listen to some of the more subtle examples more than once, but scored 36/36! Now for the next step.)

A world of hurt

I have a spatial deficit from a childhood head trauma. My connection with music has always been full of holes and blank spaces. I have an excellent ear for language and spoken voice intonations. My relationship to music is chaotic. I got 88% on tone deaf test. I get tired very quickly from the different sounds and pitches. Sensory overload! ToneDeafTest is a gateway. I can work on this.

Concerned Choir Director

I love the premise of ToneDeafTest. It can be very difficult to test a student's ear individually in the choral classroom. I do, however, take issue with the words "You might be tone deaf..." scrawled across the screen if a student does poorly on their test. I went back to see what happened if somebody did poorly and was disappointed to see that instead of encouraging the candidate to practice ans try again, ToneDeafTest instantly reinforces the belief that the candidate is already tone deaf. I would love to use this with my students, but don't want them thinking they are tone deaf if they test poorly.

Fun Test

this is a really nice, well made app. I scored 100% and it wasnt difficult to make the choices, so i wondered about the validity of the test. I sent it to a friend to try (terrible taste in music), he bombed it. 52%. So apparently it does what it says it does. The dog was very fascinated by it as well. Had a hard time getting her to choose an answer though.

100% Correct

Someone complained about how easy the test was, thinking that because he had scored 100%, that the test must be flawed. What he doesn’t realize is that it proves beyond a shadow of doubt that he in not tone deaf. The simplicity of the test is it’s own validity. You'll either get a perfect score, or you won’t.

Fabulous test and very easy to take

This is a very easy way to get rid of the stigma of being tone deaf so you can actually progress to teach your voice to be accurate instead of thinking you are doomed and will never sing accurately. Great way to start on the road of voice training!

Not Tone deaf, although I sing like I am.

I got 100% on this test 12/12 in all three sections. I think my singing is beyond help. I do play guitar, and when I play with my friends I am the only one who doesn't even sing backup vocals. However, I can hear a song and play it on my guitar, I don't think someone who's tone deaf could play by ear.

Had to know

I played instruments when I was younger, but could never sing. People throw around the term "tone deaf" so freely that I started wondering if maybe I was. Especially since it's been so long. Scored a perfect 100 and has removed doubt, so I can go forward with training to sing.

Quick and effective

In a very short amount of time, you will learn if you are tone deaf. You may also be reassured if your score is very high. I got 100 percent, and my guess is many others will too.

don’t know

As it said in the instructions, this is not a true validation and only a hearing specialist could determine this. However, the test said I’m fine, now I just have to figure out why I am so truly awful when it comes to singing.

Nice, quick app

ToneDeafTest is pretty convenient for what it does and how quickly it does it. It explains what tone deafness really is and you take a test that takes a few minutes and get immediate results. Couldn't be more simple, really.

Late every time

I can't seem to come in on time at the start of a verse, without another voice I feel lost when it's only the instrument so I thought maybe I'm tone deaf but I got 100%; that's encouraging, I guess just need more practice.

" These Apps are Great "

Thank You for thinking of app's that are practical for helping anyone refine their Ear training Discipline and lord knows in a time when Rhyme Means more then " Harmony " or " Melody " and where playing real Guitars is only for OLD PEOPLE as the thing now is " a Rock Star " as you know what we'll

Easy and Useful

I knew ToneDeafTest because I purchased Sing True. It only spent me several minutes to finish the test. I was always laughed by my husband for not singing on tunes. Now, after the test, I know that I can practice to be good at singing.

Quick and easy

With this easy app, I just confirmed that I am not tone deaf (a score of 100%). However, since several tones were difficult to hear, It’s probably time for me to consult an audiologist

Now what is my excuse!

I guess I am not gone deaf. I think I sound wonderful, yet others... well I can clear a room singing. On to part two of ToneDeafTest- but knowing I am not tone deaf is some consolation.

ToneDeafTest

The title is terrible; humiliating and possibly erroneous. ‘Pitch awareness test’ would be a better title.
Also there is no mechanism that allows skipping from on part to another. You have to work your way through each part of the rest to get to the next.
I do like the changes in timbre, though.

Nice . 3 out of 5 !

Yay I'm not tone death !! 😃
This is nice and all!! but I really feel like this should be on a website. Not an app !! You know the internet is where it's at lol jk .... but if you really think about it ... this process on a website would be straight !!
Prolly way more people then (75) downloading it on the "app ". I mean maybe I'm wrong

It is what it says it is

Small and fast test that gives a good idea of your ability to tonal differentiate. No replacement for a professional to test hearing aptitude, but interesting all the same.
