Great App, good for journaling

2022-05-28 22:58:11

This is a great app for your dream journal and general lucid dream practice, thought it could use some work. Iā€™m using the free version, so I may need to buy to unlock some of the cooler features, but one complaint I have is towards the dream journal itself. The dream journal has a tag feature, where I can tag the dream as anything. This feature is nifty, but a little pointless without a search feature. Iā€™ve been using LucidDreamer for years and would love if I could simply search a tag and find all dreams that use that tag. Otherwise, this is great stuff! Very sleek night-friendly interface. It would also be cool to be able to use LucidDreamer with my device horizontal, rather than exclusively vertical.

I shouldā€™ve started with this

2022-05-28 22:58:11

Iā€™ve been trying to have a lucid dream for 6 years with no luck. Iā€™ve had LucidDreamer for two weeks and I just had my first completely lucid dream. I bought the full app and all the features help. The reality check reminders and the subliminator are my personal favorites. The actual lucid dreamer helps me have more dreams that I can remember and gives you opportunities to become lucid. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone trying to have a lucid dream. Finally being able to experience it has just made me so excited to go to sleep again!

Great app

2022-05-28 22:58:11

This is overall a great app but needs some explanation. This is more a letter to the editor than any recommendation. Hereā€™s my review: itā€™s a good app.
But, it doesnā€™t really explain what the timer is for (the main function of LucidDreamer ), how long you should be setting it for, how it works, why it works, or what it does.
Iā€™m not really sure what the timer does, and if I donā€™t know what sound is going to play how do I know to look for it in my dreams?
Thereā€™s almost no explanation of LucidDreamer ā€™s purpose, there are only settings that youā€™re supposed to know how to do.

Love the new design (Touch ID journal?)

2022-05-28 22:58:11

I was starting to get worried that LucidDreamer was abandoned and was never going to be updated. I'm going to be honest, a few of the features I don't think would work... but most of them I love and they work well! In the changes it says that you can use Touch ID now for the dream journal? I can't seem to find that feature. (Can you please email me about that? Thanks) everything else is great! I would recommend this to beginners and advanced users. Beginners try it with the free trial first. Thank you for updating LucidDreamer !

Pretty basic, minimal help files

2022-05-28 22:58:11

The initial screen just has a timer with play & pause buttons that do nothing. My assumption was the timer was for the length of the dream cues but it turns out to be a countdown until you're asleep. The play & pause buttons only work after you've pressed Start below and after the countdown reaches 0. The UI looks nice but is not intuitive at all, basically counter intuitive.

Help Please?

2022-05-28 22:58:11

I love the layout of LucidDreamer and the features. However I canā€™t get the main feature, which inspired me to buy the upgrade, to work... Every time I choose a custom audio track thereā€™s the check mark next to the chosen track, I press ā€œdoneā€, and then the audio still reads/plays ā€œdefaultā€. Can you please help?
Thanks!

Ok

2022-05-28 22:58:11

I like the idea just not that almost everything is locked. I also have a hard time using LucidDreamer because I roll in my sleep causing my headphones to fall off in the middle of the night defeating the purpose of listening to the music. Good app otherwise.

Abandonware, Methinks

2022-05-28 22:58:11

At this point it seems pretty clear LucidDreamer has been abandoned. It's a shame, it was one of the better ones out there. It doesn't seem to be fully compatible with iOS 13, either. Don't waste your money on the unlock, some of it simply doesn't work. The rest is actually pretty good, so too bad.

Great app but I think I broke it

2022-05-28 22:58:11

I tried out the reality checker and tried to edit the message it sends and clicked out of the typing pad. Now I canā€™t edit it. Help?

Please add a sleep stage tracker

2022-05-28 22:58:11

This would be so much more useful if it had something that made use of the phoneā€™s accelerometer to track when you are in REM.

Found a way around subliminator crash

2022-05-28 22:58:11

Don't know if it was just a fluke or if it'll work for others but when I used my own images and added custom phrases the subliminator did not crash

Doesnā€™t work

2022-05-28 22:58:11

I tested LucidDreamer a few times, and it never works. I tried audio cues only, visual cues only, and both on, and at the end of the times, nothing. Also, who in the world can sleep with their phone light on? I assume you canā€™t lock it after you set the timer, since it wasnā€™t in the instructions. Has alot of promise, but doesnā€™t deliver at all

Trying out the app

2022-05-28 22:58:11

Looks good Iā€™m gonna try it and see how it goes will update later

I like the app, but.....

2022-05-28 22:58:11

The Subliminator crashes after starting. iOS 11.3

HEY!!!!!

2022-05-28 22:58:11

What happened to the voice Recorder? You can have your other three stars when you tell me how to get it back!

I want to cancel the trial!!

2022-05-28 22:58:11

I dont have enough money for it!! Please cancel the trial!!

Meh

2022-05-28 22:58:11

Couldā€™ve done a better job. Say a tutorial, that would be nice. Plus, LucidDreamer crashes every time I use the ā€œsublimnimatorā€

I got close

2022-05-28 22:58:11

First night of use: i think i had a dream about becoming lucid, because in the dream i remember becoming lucid but not having any control and not actually questioning reality. I woke up to the music playing, but did not hear it at all in the dream. Anyway, LucidDreamer has been more useful in one night than dreamz has in months.

false advertising

2022-05-28 22:58:11

The upgraded account doesn't support custom music

Confused

2022-05-28 22:58:11

Iā€™m so confused thereā€™s barley any noise coming from LucidDreamer itā€™s just doing nothing

Features

These pre-sleep visual augmentations to Lucid Dreamer are designed to help you focus and direct those contents via color psychology, focal imagery, and rapid visual stimulation.

To help you do that, Lucid Dreamer will play a series of audio and/or visual cues during your sleep cycles.

+ Da Vinci ā€“ Although hard to get used to, cycle adjustment techniques can help you be far more productive throughout the day and even experience more frequent lucid dreams.

Da Vinci can help you plan, and adhere to, the best cycles for you (default: Uberman Polyphasic Sleep Cycle).

+ Custom Music Selection ā€“ Use your own audio cues, Binaural Beats, or even record your own voice for use with the Dreamer.

+ Dreamscapes, Focalizer, Subliminator ā€“ Everything you see, hear, think about, and experience throughout the day has a direct impact on the contents of your dreams.

+ Paralyzer - Sleep Paralysis is a state in which your mind is awake, but your body is completely asleep.

This transitional state can be used to achieve lucidity and the Paralyzer can help you enter into it.

When you wake up, you can record your dreams with our free, secure, PIN-protected Dream Journal.

+ Reality Checker - Stop looking at your hand, counting your toes, or whatever habit you've been trying to form.

The first step to controlling a dream is realizing you are actually asleep.

Your entries can be written or voice recorded, can be tagged, and you can even log technique metrics.

The Checker can remember to do it for you, when convenient for you, and then alert you by sound, vibration, or even notification up to 287 times per day.

When youā€™re lucid dreaming, the only limit is your own imagination.
